I don't think I'm exactly breaking news when I say that everything sucks right now. But, according to a number of astrological reports I've seen, our no good, very bad year is about to get worse. And this past weekend -- with the juxtaposition of the solstice and the solar eclipse, followed by more planets going retrograde for a total of six -- is not the greatest kick-off for summer... or the rest of the year.
I'm not an astrologer, so I can't speak with any authority on what this all means. So I'm posting the best such report I've seen thus far. Steve Judd has described this set of astronomical events as an astrological "perfect storm." On the retrogrades alone, he posits that "there's not going to be a lot of clarity and forward thinking." As the week has unfolded in my own little corner of the world, I would have to agree.
Judd says the problems do not stop there. He is describing 2020 as a real "stinker of a year." And, amazingly, it seems like the worst is yet to come. Highlights include major seismic activity around mid-July. In August Mars will be squaring Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, which will likely bring significant conflict. October is also likely to bring global unrest. On the plus side, he doesn't foresee a global extinction event, but he does predict major economic fallout. He does not recommend playing the stock market or making home purchases over the next year and a half. The detailed report is below the fold.

Each Zodiac Sign’s Secret Ambition
By
Anonymous
It has long been said that opposites attract, and many astrologers believe that a sign’s “secret ambition” can be uncovered by looking directly across the zodiac wheel. Then there’s the saying, “the grass is always greener on the other side.” Do the zodiac signs imagine their opposite signs leading the life they themselves can only dream of? Let’s find out…
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
Secret Ambition: to link arms with a significant other and bring about reconciliation and justice on a global scale, while singing “Let There Be Peace on Earth” in 2-part harmony
Actual Job: enforcer for The Mob in Hell’s Kitchen, New York, while moonlighting as an insult comic
TAURUS (April 20-May 21)
Secret ambition: to be a sex therapist turned private investigator who operates an embalming parlour in what used to be Amityville House
Actual Job: wardrobe stylist for UPS
GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Secret ambition: to be a freelance animal trainer and bungee jumping coach working aboard a cruise ship travelling to all seven continents during the course of each year
Actual Job: computer programmer working in the basement of a nondescript building in Manhattan, Kansas

Scorpio Lovers

October 23-November 22
Most compatible: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Capricorn, Pisces
Scorpios are ruled by both fiery Mars and destructive Pluto, and this reflects their two relationship modes. Scorpios love intensely but also fight intensely. Scorpio relationships are certainly never dull.
New Love
When looking for love, Scorpios like to be pursued. They will send clear signals that they are interested, but will rarely make the first move as they want the affirmation of being pursued and wooed. They love the intensity of meeting someone new and like to go all out when it comes to the initial dating process, both giving, and expecting to receive, over the top gestures of affection.
Budding Relationships
Scorpios fall in love fast and hard, but even after they have found someone they have intense feelings for, they will be reluctant to drop the persona they present to the world and share the deep font of emotions that they keep bottled up underneath. When Scorpios do finally let their guard down, it is a big deal for them, and if their partner fails to recognise that, the walls can come up again quickly and harder than before.

What Astrology Says is in Store for the Second Half of 2018
By
Anonymous
For me, 2018 has passed in a whirlwind, and as we approach the end of the year I am feeling the pressure to move forward with my ambitions and goals. While I am a firm believer that we shape our own destinies, knowing how the stars will influence what is happening in the world and in my life helps me prepare and better deal with the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities that cross my path.
This may be especially important in the second half of 2018, which promises to be a time of change, regardless of your zodiac sign. Find out what your sign can expect in the coming months to help you maximise your potential as the year draws to a close.
Fire Signs – Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
While you have probably felt like you have had a lot on your plate in the first half of the year, in the latter part of 2018 you may suddenly feel like you have more time on your hands. But don’t let your energy levels and focus drop. Invest this time in hobbies and creative outlets that have taken a back seat so far this year.
But while you are powering through, don’t forget to take time to relax. With Mars in retrograde you might feel drained of energy, so implement self-care routines to help you stay on an even keel.
With Uranus moving into the Taurus constellation, you might see some big, and possibly shocking, changes at the end of 2018. While worrying will be inevitable, these are changes that you need in your life, even if you can’t see it right away. Take this as an opportunity to step back and really understand what is important to you, and how these unexpected changes might be a blessing.

The Great American Eclipse

The last total eclipse of the sun to be visible in the United States was in 1979. Above is a little nostalgia viewing on the eclipse that was. Walter Cronkite's reassuring voice is sorely missed. But it was a calmer time, a time when all we had to worry about was the Cold War and the looming threat of a nuclear holocaust. They seem like halcyon days to me now.
For Americans, this eclipse may be more relevant than any we've seen in nearly a hundred years, because this one will cross the entire continental United States. Astrologers are predicting massive change and upheaval. In particular, there are warning signs for the Trump presidency and for the man himself. In the interest of full disclosure, I am not an astrologer, so I cannot vouch for their accuracy.
According to astrologer Donna Woodwell, in the most comprehensive analysis I've seen, the eclipse means "massive changes for the U.S."

First, the location from which an eclipse is visible indicates the areas of the world ripe for changes in society, cultures or leadership.
. . .
Of course, the “Great American Eclipse” puts the U.S. in the crosshairs of change.
It’s the first total solar eclipse to be visible coast-to-coast across the U.S. in nearly 100 years; the last time was in June 1918. Another pivotal year in U.S. history, 1918 saw a dramatic increase in the size of the U.S. government and armed forces, as the nation sent the first major deployment of troops overseas in the nation’s history.
The Aug. 21 eclipse is also the first total solar eclipse to be visible in totality only from the U.S. since the nation was founded in 1776.

Triple Whammy

Today is the Vernal Equinox. It is also a supermoon. And a total solar eclipse. It's a triple whammy of celestial events, capping off a week of turbulent space weather and challenging transits. If you're feeling overwhelmed and enervated you're not alone. I'm hearing widespread reports of disrupted sleep cycles, intense dream activity, and erratic energy levels. I am not exempt from any of the above.
According to some skywatchers, this eclipse signals the apocalypse.

The connection between Friday’s eclipse and the end of the world comes partly from the “Blood Moon Prophecy”. That refers to the theory that a tetrad — four consecutive lunar eclipses, with six full moons between them — is a sign that the world is coming to an end.
Those that believe in the prophecy see it partly borne out by the Book of Joel, which says that “the sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes”. That has been connected to the phenomenon of the blood moon — the phenomenon where the moon turns copper red as it passes under the Earth’s shadow.
March’s solar eclipse have been connected by some to the series of lunar ones that are seen as harbingers of the end times. This solar eclipse sits in the middle of the tetrad, and is seen as another signal that signs are appearing in the sky.

Late tonight we will be treated to a total lunar eclipse. Slate has a detailed writeup on where and how to view it.
It will also be broadcast live by the Griffith Observatory.
But this is just the attention getter for a series of celestial alignments that astrologers are claiming is one for the books. This Easter will bring with it a collective crucifixion as a Grand Cross in the Cardinal signs.
I'm not an astrologer, but I wasn't surprised to read any of that. My fear is that it lines up all too perfectly with a sense of nameless dread that I've had for months. As I was discussing with some lovely people on this thread (search page for: earthquake), what I keep getting from my guides is "major global realignment."

Do you live in North America, South America, Australia, or eastern Asia? Then you get to see a lunar eclipse on the night of April 14/15! And while North America is the best place to watch—we’ll get to see the whole event—the real action doesn’t begin until 05:58 UTC on the 15th, which is just before 02:00 EDT, so it’s a bit late. You might just want to stay up for it, though.

Pisces Full Moon September 12, 2011 - All About Me and You

Cross-posted from Aloha Astro
Aloha, my astrology-loving and spiritually-aware friends. All last week, as the moon has been moving through the higher, more society-connected signs of Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and now Pisces, planets in my own natal chart have been deeply affected. Each of those signs represents the highest octave of the elements of fire, earth, air, and water. The first octave of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer looks through the lens of self. The second octave of Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio sees the world through the lens of self and another. The third octave of Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces sees itself in relation to the whole crowd, the group, the collective of society. Before you look at your own sun sign and judge yourself based on this astrological tidbit, keep in mind that you have the entire zodiac wheel represented in your natal, or birth, chart. You are a very unique symphony, a music of the spheres, composed through the interchange of planetary aspect patterns and planetary placements in the houses, or areas of life, expressed as your own beautiful soul. As the planets continue to move through time, they interact with the music of your birth chart, bringing choices, experiences, growth, change, and transcendence. Just like photographs of you as an infant and you now are different but the same person, so, too is your natal chart always with you, but you become new over and over again. You will experience what it is to be all the signs at some point in time or at some level of your consciousness.
All week, I stalled on writing my "traditional" horoscopes and trends for you. Today is Sunday, September 11th, and, as I opened my astrology software program to see where the planets are and how they may be affecting you, the full moon in the mutable water sign of Pisces gave me a nice wet fish-slap in the face. Yes, I've been looking at its ripening beauty grow in the velvet star-spangled evening sky on these sweet, cool September evenings and I know where it occurs in my own chart, but I've been ignoring the symbols and signs as I try to stay in the "normal" world and do what I think is the right thing to do in terms of money, production, business, etc. I have been ignoring my own internal GPS, although some of the messages I have been receiving about the global consciousness and the importance of the current time did get modified and mainstreamed for last week's astrological trends. All my life, I have felt like a non-conformist trying to conform. My chart holds the sun (self-awareness) in rebellious, oddball Aquarius, Jupiter (growth, abundance) and Saturn (authority, restriction, work, structure) in the 8th house of metaphysics and the occult in reserved and traditional Capricorn. All my knowledge and experiences in things metaphysical and spiritual have come to me through doubt and skepticism. When I first learned of planting a garden by moon signs years ago, I had to plant a garden by the moon and a control garden where I did everything opposite to astrological gardening wisdom. I have to see it to believe it and it took me years to understand that when we want to manifest something, we see it when we believe it. My Mercury is also in Aquarius in the 9th house, so I'm here to communicate and teach unusual things. My moon in Aries in the 11th house means I am to share it with a group and the trine between my moon and Uranus, ruler of my sun sign, in the 3rd house of communication reinforces my interest and emotional "knowing" of astrology and its potential for helping to create a life from a point of awareness. My Neptune in Scorpio in the 5th house has given a lifelong interest in metaphysics and spirituality and I especially have a fascination with the laws of abundance and manifestation. I have created things out of nowhere and thin air many times in my past, and my Mars in Cancer in my 1st house of self trine to my Neptune in Scorpio in the 5th leads me to persist, believing that someday, I can do it at will. I know that we are all moving to a point of consciousness where we will instantly manifest what we desire as we think it. I think the current full moon in Pisces, following the recent new moon in Virgo, is bringing a more widespread awareness of this process of imagining/seeing, believing/receiving to us all now. The challenges within my chart, in the form of squares between my moon and Jupiter/Saturn and my Mercury and sun square to Neptune, make it difficult for me to feel safe or believe I will be accepted if I am too "far out," New Age, or non-traditional. When I left New York, where I always felt like anything but the typical suburban Barbie I felt I was expected to be, and landed in Sedona, Arizona, a mecca for spirituality and unusual interests, I finally felt at home and surprisingly normal among the diverse population of New Agers living there. Now, I live in a place with mainstream, traditional consciousness and I feel I am holding a frequency in place for the benefit of others without them even being aware of what I am doing. Many of you who feel you are somewhere that you don't belong could be performing a similar energy elevation service where you are now. The Internet allows people to connect in ways that weren't possible years ago, and if we can't find our tribe in our own neighborhood, we can find our tribe online, which is what many of us are doing. Can you believe we are moving to a level of awareness where we can be somewhere in our consciousness and experience a person or place and they will also have the same ability? What do you think will replace the Internet? I think telepathy will one day be our main form of communication.

Horoscope for September 5-11

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
Exploring creative possibilities may expand your courage and your knowledge this week, Aries. You may develop an interest in an art or technology you know very little about or find yourself in the situation by default, such as being the only person left on the job to fill a position or learn a skill. For some time, your leadership abilities and your unique personal expression have been strongly affecting your work and immediate environment. Now you may be entering unfamiliar territory or meeting people who are so unlike you that you are not sure how to think or act. Enjoy the exciting feeling of being off-balance and out of your element as new people, information, and skills keep you guessing and fresh.
Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
Your self-esteem and your plans all receive support this week, Taurus. If you are the person people come to for information or advice, you may want to think about taking that natural talent and making it marketable. Your creativity and communication skills are supercharged and writing, teaching, or speaking flows easily. Some possible writing material may be technical how-to information or an esoteric or eclectic subject. Behind the writing or teaching is a plain purpose or practicality, if only to share your wisdom. Don't judge yourself; simply express. There are new friends waiting to meet you who are refreshingly different and decidedly not boring.
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
It doesn't hurt to be skeptical or doubtful this week, Gemini, because you will seek to prove something wrong and you may learn something new in the process. That proverbial grain of salt can flavor something you think is preposterous just enough for you to bite and swallow. You may find it is something wonderful, even though no one knows about it yet. Be on the lookout for the strange, unique, or unusual to present itself as an opportunity for you to develop a home-based business or reach more people quickly in an existing business. Why can't sudden fame and popularity find you? Money talks or plans with your mate go well at the beginning of the week, or you may meet a kindred spirit then.

Astrological Trends for September 5-11

Enthusiasm, playfulness, and physical vitality are present the morning of Monday, September 5th, as the moon in the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius trines Mercury in the fixed fire sign of Leo. The moon is also quincunx Mars in the cardinal water sign of Cancer. If you happen to be off from work this Labor Day Monday, you may enjoy an outdoor adventure near or on water with friends to make the most of the favorable aspects today. The sun and Venus, loosely conjunct in the mutable earth sign of Virgo, are trine to Jupiter in the fixed earth sign of Taurus. Venus in Virgo is semi-sextile Saturn in the cardinal air sign of Libra. These aspect patterns increase the pleasure of good food and good company - perfect for a holiday gathering. Pluto in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn square to Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of Aries continues to influence society as a whole or create tension between old and new in whatever area of life they affect in your own natal chart. Pluto sextile Chiron in the mutable water sign of Pisces and Neptune in the fixed air sign of Aquarius are conjunct Chiron in Pisces. Healing transformation that creates a better future is the potential within the Pluto/Chiron/Neptune energy. At lunchtime, the quincunx between the moon and Mars fades and the Sagittarius moon forms a sextile to Neptune in Aquarius. Your physical drive may slow down somewhat after lunch, but the Sagittarius moon sextile to Neptune in Aquarius indicates you will continue to make good memories with your friends as the afternoon and evening unfold.
Heightened conflictual energy between old and new, liberals and conservatives, established patterns of the past and innovative plans for the future occurs on Tuesday, September 6th, when the moon in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn joins Pluto, intensifying the effect of the longstanding square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto. Additionally, an opposition now between Mercury in the fixed fire sign of Leo and Neptune in the fixed air sign of Aquarius can create confusion, tension, and obstinate attitudes. This is the kind of energy that can make people dig in their heels and hold their position in an argument even when they know they are wrong, so the wisest course of action may be to say nothing at all unless you absolutely must. Red tape and senseless rules are not easy to work around or change now. The Mercury/Neptune opposition will be in effect until September 12th and may feel like a Mercury retrograde period at times due to the distorting qualities of Neptune. Look at every piece of paper, contract, or communication twice. Within the United States, the events of September 11, 2001 may be revisited. While there is nothing wrong with remembering people who have died, I do think there is something wrong with perpetuating negativity or manipulating the public through sensationalism and fear. The Mercury/Neptune opposition may make people inclined to get caught up in drama now. Remember that most of what you see and experience is colored by your thoughts and emotions. You are always at power to choose how you feel, and choosing to feel happy or peaceful can miraculously change any situation. Venus in the mutable earth sign of Virgo is sextile Mars in Cancer all week long, producing demonstrations of practical caring and acts of service. Early this evening, the moon in Capricorn forms two wonderful and supportive trines. The moon trine the sun in Virgo and the moon trine Jupiter in Taurus can increase feelings of security and stability and also help you to work on projects or make wise choices on material needs when shopping or investing money. Both these trines will also help to limit the possible challenges of the square between the Capricorn moon and Saturn in Libra that develops later this evening. If you have a partner, you or your mate are willing to compromise or make allowances for the greater good of the relationship. If you are single, you may not find perfection when looking for a partner now, but you are likely to find a person who is looking for a realistic and enduring relationship.

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
For some time now, Aries, the planet Uranus has been mixing some electrical energy into your fire, making you an unpredictable live wire. This has enabled you to become a quick change artist and an innovative risk-taker, but it may have caused friction with your partner or coworkers. Maybe you've been more than they can handle lately or you've been too busy rushing around to notice them. The new moon energy this week in the earth sign of Virgo helps you to develop plans and systems, find a practical and productive pace, and be aware of the needs of other people. The new moon in your 6th house of work, service, health, and habits can also make you see the benefits of a regular rest, diet, and exercise regimen. A little humility, modesty, and temperance goes a long way to improving all your relationships, including the one you have with yourself.
Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
The Virgo new moon influencing your week is perfectly in harmony with your own element, Taurus. To top things off, it occurs in your 5th house of creativity, romance, and fun. But wait - there's more! Aspects between the other transiting planets give you the power of mind over matter mixed with an optimism that makes you a mighty manifester now. There has been a long transit making you fearful because of the instability you feel in the world at large. Yes, there are crazy things going on. Do what you can about things that worry you, but if there is nothing you can do, forget about it and go play. The most practical and productive thing you can do is to spend your time now doing what makes you happy. This world is a playground and grownup life is still a "let's pretend" game. Pre-tend happy relationships, fun activities, and profitable business now.
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
Home and psychological foundations are highlighted by the new moon in Virgo in your 4th house of home, Gemini. This can be an especially happy and productive week for you because the current planetary transits and aspects are tethering you to ground where you can make some serious advances in following practical business advice or working on your own inner programming. If you have been wanting to be a more effective person who has better relationships, a more service-oriented purpose, or just a cleaner desk and closets, you will come as close to perfect as you can get without irritating others this week. Just don't try to be too perfect or go too Pollyanna on people. Make it look like you are still striving, but leave a few imperfections so others feel comfortable around you. If home improvements are being planned or a new home is sought, include the whole family and listen to their ideas.

On Monday, August 29th, the new moon in the mutable earth sign of practical and purposeful Virgo joins the sun and Venus, the planet of affection and pleasure, also in Virgo. Together, this harmonious trio forms a productive trine to powerful Pluto in success-oriented Capricorn and a blessed trine to Jupiter, the planet of growth and abundance, in the material-minded fixed earth sign of Taurus. This morning, the Virgo trio also forms a quincunx to Uranus in Aries. Mercury, planet of thought and communication, in the fixed and creative fire sign of Leo is now direct, and is supported by a sextile to Mars in the sensitive and nurturing cardinal water sign of Cancer. After the past few weeks of delay energy a Mercury retrograde period may have delivered to you, today's new moon energy fully supports you in creating new plans and implementing them. A challenging square aspect between restrictive, serious Saturn in the cardinal air sign of relationship-minded Libra and Mars, the planet of action, in the cardinal water sign of emotional Cancer indicates that you may have to handle people with kid gloves or be mindful of your own emotional reactions to the comments or actions of other people. The square between Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries, which you have been dealing with for weeks now, continues to produce friction and possible breaking energy between new and old. As the moon progresses further this afternoon and leaves the sun and Venus behind, it forms a supportive sextile to Mars in Cancer, which encourages acting upon your gut instincts. If you have to make a decision, do what feels right to you. The practical Virgo moon is also semi-sextile to discerning Saturn in Libra, which can help you make the right choice. Later this evening, Mercury in Leo forms a semi-sextile to Mars in Cancer and a semi-sextile to the moon in Virgo, indicating your decisions, plans, thoughts, or speech are in harmony with your feelings and your actions.

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
Mental and creative pursuits are more appealing than the emotional side of life this week, Aries. You may find yourself wishing your partner or family members were less needy, dramatic, or emotionally expressive and gave more of their energy to looking at things from a logical perspective or were more open to change and flexibility. Currently, the planets are stimulating your mind more than your heart and you are excited by the potential for fresh ideas or new social contacts that can advance your career and earning potential. The people close to you may feel insecure, unsure, and even threatened when you choose new activities or new friends over them. Reassure them that your own personal growth simply allows you to be more of the person they would most want you to be - yourself!
Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
The planets support you in personal growth and attracting what you need or want, Taurus. However, there can be an easy path or a difficult path to follow. Neither one is right or wrong. The more difficult path of fear, worry, and emotional angst over work or health issues looks like the classic case of making mountains out of molehills, but you will learn just how powerfully you can build those mountains. It may not be easy to look away from those issues this week, but you have even stronger planetary energy that suggests using mind over matter, imagination, ingenuity, investigation, and communication to affect things on a very material level. List your problems or worries. Next to each one, write down solutions or other possibilities that you think would be good, better, and best. Creative life-scripting is a much better waste of time than fretting, isn't it?
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
Did this past weekend feel a bit slow and did you feel tired or languid, Gemini? The moon transiting your 12th house of the subconscious and dream state is to blame for the lethargy and dreaminess. Now the moon enters your 1st house of self at the beginning of the week and Mercury, the ruler of your sign, is about to turn direct after a retrograde period that may have kept your creative plans on hold. Yee-haw! Forward motion at last! But it seems you are not completely satisfied with how your money is flowing. Or you have not enough time to handle way too many tasks that both home and work require. Rather than beating yourself up over things, use your dissatisfaction to help you sort, eliminate, and prioritize on all levels. Despite your best attempts to micromanage your time, there may still be things that cut into your schedule, which are not personally productive. Be grateful for the time away from work, which is not ready to kick into full speed yet, anyway.

A strong desire for change sets off the week on Monday, August 22nd, as the moon in the mutable air sign of Gemini forms a quincunx to powerful Pluto in the cardinal earth sign of traditional Capricorn and a supportive sextile to erratic Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of pioneering Aries. This aspect pattern makes you feel that something has got to give or a better way to do things can be found if you explore the possibilities. The sun in the fixed fire sign of creative Leo opposes inspirational Neptune in the fixed air sign of experimental Aquarius, indicating that there may be many mistakes and instances of trial and error before new creative ways to affect the future or solve problems with ingenuity can be found. Venus in the practical and mutable earth sign of Virgo, which is conjunct the sun in the late degrees of Leo, also opposes Neptune. Venus in Virgo also forms a quincunx to Uranus in Aries at lunchtime, giving you the mindset to try and try again and explore yet another new option. Mars, the planet of action, in the cardinal water sign of emotional Cancer forms a supportive sextile to Jupiter, the planet of growth, in the steady fixed earth sign of Taurus, but forms a challenging square to disciplined Saturn in the cardinal air sign of perfectionist Libra. You can achieve what you want on the material level right now, but not without some angst. Even after accomplishing what you set out to do, you may feel like you fell just short of your mark. Give yourself points for persistence and patience. Uranus in upstart Aries continues to square Pluto in establishment-oriented Capricorn and create the conflict between old and new, especially in politics and the world economy. Use this energy to your advantage to ruthlessly clean out your closets and release things you no longer need or get rid of anything that is broken to make room for new things. Early this evening, the flirtatious Gemini moon forms a favorable trine to Saturn in Libra, enhancing all relationships, but especially the romantic kind. The Gemini moon is also semi-sextile to Mars in Cancer and semi-sextile Jupiter in Taurus. Lively conversation can lead to pleasure on the physical and emotional level.

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
You and a partner may share a dream of home, family, and increased financial security this week. If you are single, a dream of finding the perfect partner could drive you to increase your income. The planets are giving you strong creative manifesting power that enables you to imagine what you desire and bring it into reality. For Rams wanting to conceive a child, the first two days of the week are an ideal time to try. An urge for change may be directed toward your career or home, but it may be something new inside you that wants to be expressed. Friends may mean well when giving you advice, but they can also confuse or limit you. Follow your own heart.
Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
Your world will expand from the comfort of your own home this week, Taurus. Social networking and the Internet could be ways that you meet new people and learn new things. Your personal warmth, charm, and sense of humor are fired up by the glow of the sun, Venus, and Mercury, making you a magnet for attention and increasing your desire to be surrounded by kindred souls. You may also be dreaming of a new home or getting ready to move. Your self-esteem is getting a good boost, as well, because your communication skills are in high demand. A piece of you is happily watching seeds of your future being sown now and, in your quiet moments, you wonder what fruit those seeds will bear. Watch that you don't commit to more work than you can handle at the end of the week.
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
"How can I make more money?" may be on your mind this week, Gemini. Creative ideas are going off like fireworks and you are willing to talk and promote yourself now. Trust your own instincts in business rather than the voice of establishment or anyone who tells you something can't be done. You do have a guardian angel, spirit guide, or an inner wisdom that only laughs at "No way" right now. A financial investment in yourself could bring a change in you that shifts your energy and allows you to accept fame, popularity, and greater success. Making money can become a game where you joyfully see your money grow rather than a chore you dread with diminishing returns.

A polite and sensitive mood sets the tone for the morning of Monday, August 15th, as the moon in the mutable water sign of Pisces forms a quincunx to Saturn in the cardinal air sign of Libra. This combination of mental refinement and spiritual sensitivity enhances social interaction, romance, and all forms of artistic expression. The moon sextile Jupiter in the fixed earth sign of Taurus helps bring plans into being and creative ideas into material form, as well as improves overall optimism and attitude. Mars, the planet of action, in the cardinal water sign of Cancer sextile Jupiter in Taurus gives the power of material manifestation another boost. With Mars and Jupiter supporting each other, you have the energy to act and the stamina to follow through. Mars in Cancer also opposes Pluto in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn until noon, indicating there may be some resistance to overcome or difficulties to work out as you move through the morning, but a supportive sextile between Pluto in Capricorn and Chiron in Pisces means that where there is a will, there is a gentle or fruitful way to be found. Unfortunately, the long-term square aspect between volatile Pluto in traditional Capricorn and unstable Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of original Aries is still creating strong resistance and reaction whenever something new attempts to replace the old. The effect of this square aspect may be more noticeable on a global level, but if you would like to know how it affects you personally, you must look to see what houses, or areas of life, Pluto and Uranus are transiting in your own natal chart. Neptune has left the water sign of Pisces and re-entered the fixed air sign of Aquarius while it is retrograde. I feel this may bring spiritual or religious issues to the forefront in the news. Mercury retrograde in the fixed fire sign of Leo is joining Venus and the sun, exactly conjunct in Leo. This creative, energetic, passionate fire can make old things new and bring renewed joy into whatever area of your chart Leo resides. Second chances and trying again are especially likely to be happily successful under this influence. The moon/Saturn quincunx is gone by early evening and a peaceful, unaspected Pisces moon continues to shine on your evening. Pisces loves to dream and escape. Everything takes on a rosy glow or is felt more deeply. Spend the evening rekindling romance with a partner or indulge in your own favorite special treat - a glass of wine, a movie, a good book, a massage?

Mercury, the planet of communication and transportation, which recently entered the mutable earth sign of Virgo, turns retrograde late in the evening of August 2nd and backtracks into the fixed fire sign of Leo by the end of the first week in August. Virgo is an analytical and methodical sign that likes to do things purposefully. Virgo's mutable quality may make it run through several possibilities before deciding which option is the most effective, but the desired result is always function. Leo, on the other hand, is highly creative, playful, and dramatic. Leo can work as hard as Virgo, but the process of creation is half the fun and the bigness of the effect is sometimes more important than function. Why have plain and practical when you can go for fun and extravagant?
As you enter the Mercury retrograde period this week, use the Virgo energy at the start of the retrograde period to analyze, itemize, and prioritize the things that you would like to go back over. Mercury retrograde's finest attribute is the opportunity it affords you to pull out old plans and projects, collect more information, or revisit an issue in order to clear it. Mercury retrograde can bring second chances. When the energy begins to shift on August 7th, you will have a list to burn through with that creative Leo fire.
Just as Mercury turns retrograde, Mars, the planet of action, leaves the air sign of Gemini and enters the emotional water sign of Cancer. Mars happens to aspect Mercury with a supportive sextile and also aspects Neptune in Pisces with a favorable trine until August 7th. I see these aspects as dream incubators. You can use these favorable aspects to help you get in touch with your emotions and identify your desires before you take any action. I do have to add a "however" here, though. Mercury retrograde traditionally causes misunderstanding, delays, and breakdowns with travel- and communication-related things. Mercury happens to oppose Neptune, which increases the possibility of confusion. Mars can enhance the potential for fire, accidents, and arguments. Cancer, Pisces, and Neptune are all water- and ocean-related. Please be cautious when traveling in the rain or on water. Safety first at all times.
Whatever area, or house, in your chart that has Leo energy: get ready to re-create something during the Mercury retrograde period. Based on a solar (sun sign astrology) chart, these are the houses and their concerns. Read for both your sun sign and your rising sign, also known as your ascendant. There are links on this site where you can get both your ascendant and your natal chart for free.

While I am in retreat, I would love to hear from you. Please tell me if you enjoy your Tweetscopes, Horoscopes, and the Astrological Trends. Do you follow them all? Are the Astrological Trends too technical for you? The more honest feedback I receive, the better I can serve you.
Love, Dunnea Rae (Dee)

Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
A creative mental challenge is possible at the start of your week, Aries. You may have a divinely-inspired idea that you are striving to make perfect, but this is earth, not heaven yet! A little persistence, a touch of genius, and a love of what you are doing are enough to help you unravel red tape, argue your case, or find the ways and means to do what you want to do. Some Rams may be surprised by a desire to become a parent or have a pet, despite the restrictions and work being responsible for a child or animal may bring. When you tap into your hidden desires, they can reshape your life and redefine who you are. The new moon in your 5th house of creativity, children, and pets amplifies the creative yearning you already feel and signals a green light - GO! Values and self-definition shift or expand as a result.
Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
Here is a special video for you, Taurus. When I looked at your chart for the week, "Oh What a Beautiful Mornin'!" is what I heard - orchestra and all! If there is one energy you need this week, it is the kind of feeling this song imparts. The moon lines you up with a new personal cycle at the start of the week. Commit to a new and improved attitude and decide that everything really is going your way. You may have to negotiate, sell to, or be firm with faceless organizations that oppose you. Don't waste a moment on negative thoughts of other people or entities over which you have no control. Direct your energy toward loving and feeling wonderful about yourself and all the good you see around you and you will be able to sing, "Everything's going my way!" The new moon in your 4th house of home, family, and psychological foundations begins a new cycle of home improvement or a positive, action-oriented attitude. Put that Leo crown on your head and start ordaining and decreeing good things.
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
If someone says you can't do something the way you would like to do it, you will find an alternative, better way, Gemini. Some of your best ideas come to you when conventional doors close. The new moon in your 3rd house of formative ideas, mental creativity, local transportation, and communication stimulates a great deal of errand running, local socializing, and networking. One of your brilliant ideas this week could become a viable product or business that becomes popular and profitable faster than you could have expected. Look at every limitation as an opportunity for experimentation, exploration, and inevitable success. Write, speak, and spark new friendships.

Astrological Trends for July 25-31

It may seem as though you just cannot make something happen, no matter how hard you try, the morning of Monday, July 25th, due to a challenging T-square. The moon in the fixed earth sign of stubborn Taurus squares Mercury, planet of communication, in arrogant Leo, and also squares Neptune, planet of ideals, conjunct healing Chiron in Pisces, while Mercury in Leo opposes Neptune/Chiron in Pisces. You may have to stand up for what you believe in now or fight to get what you want or feel you deserve. Persistence is the key to overcoming this temporary challenge. There are other planetary aspects that can support you today. The creative Leo sun gets an inventive boost of genius through a favorable trine between the sun and Uranus in Aries, indicating unusual solutions to problems can be found or there are such things as exceptions to rules. The sun also forms a quincunx to Neptune/Chiron in the mutable water sign of Pisces and still receives some beneficial support from nearby Venus in the late degrees of Cancer. Venus in Cancer conjunct the sun in Leo forms a supportive sextile to the moon in Taurus and a semi-sextile to Mars in the mutable air sign of Gemini. Use courtesy and kindness in your negotiations and appeal to people by presenting the common bond between you. Jupiter in Taurus is still involved in a favorable trine to Pluto in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn, helping you to manifest material things when you need them. Pluto gets some supportive energy from a sextile to Neptune/Chiron in Pisces, but the difficult square between Pluto and Uranus in the cardinal fire sign of Aries is still in effect. Yes, there can be changes or breakthroughs that are ultimately healing or for the highest good, but they won't necessarily come easily. Many people have been reporting that material things in their lives are breaking. This is a good example of the Pluto/Uranus square releasing the old (Capricorn) and making way for the new (Aries), whether we like it or not! At midday, the moon enters the mutable air sign of Gemini, enhancing communication and lifting the general tone of the day to a more playful vibration. The T-square begins to fade early this afternoon as the moon/Mercury square dissolves. Your problems may be solved now or negotiations come to a satisfactory conclusion. The Leo sun now forms a quincunx to Pluto in Capricorn, locking a decision into place and activating an action or procedure. At dinnertime, the moon in Gemini also forms a quincunx to Pluto, enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and firm expression of emotions.
