Aries (March 21st - April 20th)
Career, money, and success have been important areas of life for you in the last few months, Aries. You love success because it usually means having money, and money opens doors to experiences, which is what Aries loves the most. This week, meaning, purpose, values, and spirituality become as important as money to you. You may infuse your work with spirituality or become more vocal in expressing your own individual values when the new moon activates your 2nd house of money and personal values on the 3rd. Expect some backlash and be prepared to walk your talk. Those who don't support you now will either come to accept the new you or be replaced by new friends in the weeks to come.
Taurus (April 21st - May 20th)
Some things are still going on behind the scenes for you, Taurus, but when the new moon arrives in your 1st house of self this week in your sign, it's time to shine. Even if you don't feel all-together yet, or fully confident in new plans, put a big smile on your face and fake it. Affirmations of your self-worth and internal pep-talks can go a long way toward making you feel better and helping you achieve goals. Why not coin a cheer for yourself. It may sound silly, but some silliness is what you need most now. Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't real, and just because something you desire hasn't arrived yet doesn't mean it won't. Keep focused on the desired result.
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
Just like buying a gym membership doesn't get you buff unless you use it, knowing metaphysical principles or spiritual truths doesn't manifest a better life or make you a better person if you don't use them. The new moon in your 12th house of the subconscious and the collective may have you asking, "Who am I? Am I where I belong? Am I doing what I should be doing? What do I want to improve and how can I do that?" You can get the answers now, and a new game plan. Expect some tests and some fumbles when you launch the new program. It takes repetition for things to become habit, so don't give up before you even get started.
Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
Intimate relationships, friendships, and work relationships have kept you pulled out of your protective shell for the last few weeks, Cancer. The new moon on the 3rd occurs in your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, and wish fulfillment. All your recent hard work and social connecting may culminate in a presentation or event where you say, "Voila! Look at what I (or we) have done!" It can feel like an end if it is a culmination, but it could be the beginning of a bigger avenue of connecting and working with people in the future. Just like my son's hermit crab, which goes under the sand for a time before moving to a bigger shell, you will require some quiet time midweek to pull back into your shell for internal reflection and adjustment to new energies before you step out into a new personal identification at the end of the week.
Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Lately, the planets have been stimulating your mind and tickling your ingenuity, Leo. You may be feeling a bit like a Survivor contestant as you go through your day, creatively conquering challenges and exploring new environments. This week, the new moon in your 10th house of career alerts you to the fact that you are diluting yourself by being involved in too many things and the more you try to do, the less you get done. All the fire signs love to be spontaneous and the bevy of planets in Aries has been making you go off like bottle rockets in unpredictable directions. The new moon says it is time to get grounded; make a plan or schedule and stick to it. There is still time for friendship, romance, and some restorative rest on the weekend.
Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
A trip, a trip! It may be time for a trip, Virgo. After all the Mercury retrograde hassles, you deserve a trouble-free change of scenery. The new moon is activating your 9th house of travel (sometimes overseas!) and higher education. It is also the house of philosophy, teaching, and getting published. If you have a manuscript to submit or have been thinking of returning to school or teaching a class, now is the time to do it. The old expression, "If you want something done right, do it yourself," applies to you this week. You can tell people what you want all you want, but in the end, you are your own best investment adviser, interior designer, PR agent, or realtor. You aren't called a quick study for nothing. There are strong, seductive romance aspects this week for you to capitalize on.
Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
Did you get caught up in the Royal Wedding this past week, Libra? It wouldn't surprise me, with all the Aries planets keeping you focused on the 7th house of marriage and the "other." This week's new moon in your 8th house moves things up an octave. Traditionally, the 8th house rules sex, death, taxes, and metaphysics, among other weighty things. The 7th house is the marriage people see, but the 8th house is where you really mean, "'Til death do us part." It is the house of deep soul-level intimacy where you merge with another person and become one. You may become so immersed in what it means to be with a soulmate that you even contemplate a business that focuses on relationships somehow. The new moon moves you to work at the love you already have or to work at finding a fulfilling relationship that endures.
Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
On the surface, Scorpio, the new moon appears to be directing your attention to your 7th house of marriage this week. But we both know that very little of you shows on the surface and you keep the important things hidden. The 7th house is also the house of the hidden self because it opposes the 1st house. Every sign on the zodiac wheel has some of itself hidden in the opposing sign, just waiting to be tapped into. I'm not saying there isn't real romance in your life now. In fact, you have strong romantic indicators in your chart, but a lot of that energy is in the mental realm. What I think the new moon is doing for you is tricking you into loving yourself and thinking you are the ideal partner. It is asking you to feel stable, grounded, and secure in the idea of love and union rather than suspicious or vulnerable. The word to meditate upon during the new moon is "trust."
Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
Work makes the money, and money pays the rent and the bills. Do you feel caught on a treadmill, Sagittarius? The new moon is activating your 6th house of work, health, and service. This may sound like a strange question, but would you marry your job or the company that employs you? If the answer is no, it may be time to divorce your job. You have an excess of enthusiasm and creativity at your disposal now. It would be a pity to waste it on escapism and partying to forget your daily grind. How can you apply that energy and grow a job from it? The new moon can help you find what you are most passionate about. What would you like to do all day? Make a business plan around that passion.
Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
You are blooming now, Capricorn. I always think of earthy Capricorn as a sturdy tree with roots running deep and branches reaching far into the sky, growing slowly toward success. Right now, I see you covered with beautiful leaves and blossoms, attracting birds and insects. It sure is better than being a stack of lumber, isn't it? Seriously, the new moon is blessing you with abundant creativity as it shines in your 5th house and more expressive sensuality than you normally exhibit. I love it when the planets help a sign grow and that is what the planets are doing for you now. Capricorn has been the reserved, serious one for the rest of us far too long. Maybe you've decided there is too much of that seriousness in the world and now it's time to operate from joy and pleasure rather than fear and restriction. Good for you!
Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
Just like the new moon in Taurus in your 4th house of home and psychological foundations, your sign is fixed in nature, Aquarius. Your organizational skills are in the mental, abstract realm and the Taurus fixed organizational skills are in the material, practical realm. This new moon brings you to earth to organize your physical house or your root beliefs. If you can't use it or you haven't used it in a while, let it go. You may also be looking for a place to live that feels like home or preparing to make an actual move. The application of method, discipline, and follow-through can also be applied to your creative endeavors and your health. "Get with the program."
Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
Your imagination and communication skills are heightened by the new moon in your 3rd house this week, Pisces. Other planetary positions indicate that it would be a good time to get out in your neighborhood or join group activities where you can meet like-minded people. Your personal wealth, self-esteem, confidence, and support network grows in direct proportion to your willingness to meet, communicate, learn, or teach. Not everyone you meet is your cup of tea, nor you theirs, but the opportunities you may be given to assert yourself are priceless, especially when you learn to not take differences or rejection personally. A potential business alliance with a newfound fan is possible.
