In this recent post on Teal Bosworth Scott Swan, I wrote about what I'm calling her "originality gap." I cited a number of examples of recycled material – numerous blog posts which rely on word for word lifts from her own previous articles. As stated, this is called self-plagiarism. I also touched on her propensity for relaying ideas, words, and images that strongly resemble work from other sources. I have noted a number of these parallels in the noncasts.

For instance, in the noncast entitled "The Bottomless Rabbit Hole," I referenced a rather striking similarity between her painting called Alchemy and art from the series Fullmetal Alchemist. Imagine my surprise at seeing that image, once again, heading her recent blog post.

The image in question is called the "circle of transmutation." It is the unique construction of Fullmetal Alchemist. It is, therefore, proprietary material.

This is not, I should point out, a blog post about the symbolism in Fullmetal Alchemist or its, perhaps, broader implications. It's not an exploration of how either the manga or the anime series convey the principles of Alchemy. That's something I might enjoy reading. I love analyses of how mythology is expressed in popular culture, which is why I write so much on the topic. But, no, this new post is about how unhappy and afraid teal is and how this is somehow reflected in the principles of Western Alchemy.

More to the point, there is almost no original material in the post. Instead, it draws from a number of previously published works of hers: an article and video on feeling like the universe is against you, a video, and a poem about Alchemy.

Worse, much of this recycled material is also plagiarized from Wikipedia. The following block quote is the text on Alchemy as it appears in this recent blog post and in the previously published text from which it is taken. I have highlighted in green any phrases, words, and partial words, that are direct lifts from the Wikipedia entries on the same topics. (Some words are in different tenses, have been changed from verbs to gerunds, and so on.) I have highlighted text in rose that I have deemed to be paraphrases of those Wikipedia entries. It's not just the highlighted material that is plagiarized, however. To plagiarize content does not simply mean ripping text word for word or paraphrasing it. Any content that conveys "information that is not common knowledge or self-evident," from an un-cited source, is considered plagiarism.

... The Great Work of Alchemy is often described as a series of four stages, which are represented by colors…

Nigredo, a blackening or melanosis. [sic]  It is putrefaction or decomposition. Ingredients had to be cleansed and cooked extensively.  Internally, this represents a kind of spiritual death ["dark night of the soul"] and the confronting of one’s shadow aspect.

Albedo,a whitening or leucosis. [sic] The washing away of impurities.  The physical subject (such as an ingredient) is to be purified and divided into two opposing principles.  Internally, this represents regaining the original purity and receptivity of the soul.  Washing away the ashes to find the soul.

Cirtinitas, a yellowing or xanthosis. [sic] This refers to transmutation.  The actual turning of a subject (such as an ingredient) into its highest state such as silver into gold.  Internally this represents awakening. Becoming a manifestation of the soul.  Becoming a walking embodiment of the soul, rather than a muted reflection of it ["dawning of the 'solar light' inherent in one's being, and that the reflective 'lunar or soul light' was no longer necessary"].** It is a process of turning.

Rubedo,a reddening, purpling, or iosis. [sic]  Rubedo refers to the end state ["culmination"]Alchemical success.  The achievement of the perfected state.  The final state of perfection of a subject (such as an ingredient).  It can be interpreted as achieving enlightened consciousness and the total fusion of spirit and matter. ["wholeness"]  This stage is often represented by the symbol of the phoenix.

**If you doubt my analysis of the paraphrased section, see her stanza on Citrinitas:

We can see now
That the moon’s light ["lunar or soul light"]
Is not sun light, ["solar light"]
It is just a reflection.
We are just a reflection of what we really are.
When we decide to turn from moonlight to sunlight

To begin with, each of the sentence fragments with which she begins her definitions of the "stages," is a word for word lift from this Wikipedia post on the Magnum Opus – Great Work – of Alchemy. The little numbers in brackets, in the Wikipedia posts correspond to footnotes, because Wikipedia, for all its faults, cites its sources.

... It originally had four stages:[1][2]
  • nigredo, a blackening or melanosis
  • albedo, a whitening or leucosis
  • citrinitas, a yellowing or xanthosis
  • rubedo, a reddening, purpling, or iosis

Here is the source text for the definition of Nigredo.

In alchemy, nigredo, or blackness, means putrefaction or decomposition. The alchemists believed that as a first step in the pathway to the philosopher's stone all alchemical ingredients had to be cleansed and cooked extensively to a uniform black matter.[1]

In analytical psychology, the term became a metaphor 'for the dark night of the soul, when an individual confronts the shadow within'.[2]

Here is the source text for the definition of Albedo.

In alchemy, albedo is one of the four major stages of the magnum opus; along with nigredo, citrinitas and rubedo. It is a Latinicized term meaning "whiteness". Following the chaos or massa confusa of the nigredo stage, the alchemist undertakes a purification in albedo, which is literally referred to as ablutio – the washing away of impurities. In this process, the subject is divided into two opposing principles to be later coagulated to form a unity of opposites or coincidentia oppositorum during rubedo.[1]

Titus Burckhardt interprets the albedo as the end of the lesser work, corresponding to a spiritualization of the body. The goal of this portion of the process is to regain the original purity and receptivity of the soul.[2] Psychologist Carl Jung equated the albedo with unconscious contrasexual soul images; the anima in men and animus in women. It is a phase where insight into shadow projections are realized, and inflated ego and unneeded conceptualizations are removed from the psyche.

Here is the source text for the definition of Citrinitas.

Citrinitas, sometimes referred to as xanthosis,[1] is a term given by alchemists to "yellowness." It was one of the four major stages of the alchemical magnum opus, and literally referred to "transmutation of silver into gold" or "yellowing of the lunar consciousness."[citation needed] In alchemical philosophy, citrinitas stood for the dawning of the "solar light" inherent in one's being, and that the reflective "lunar or soul light" was no longer necessary. The other three alchemical stages were nigredo (blackness), albedo (whiteness), and rubedo (redness).

Psychologist Carl Jung is credited with interpreting the pseudo-scientific alchemical process as analogous to modern-day psychoanalysis. In the Jungian archetypal schema, nigredo is the Shadow; albedo refers to the anima and animus (contrasexual soul images); citrinitas is the wise old man (or woman) archetype; and rubedo is the Self archetype which has achieved wholeness.

Finally, this is the source text for the definition of Rubedo.

Rubedo is a Latin word meaning "redness" that was adopted by alchemists to define the fourth and final major stage in their magnum opus. Both gold, and the philosopher's stone were associated with the color red, as rubedo signalled alchemical success, and the end of the great work.[1] Rubedo is also known by the Greek word, Iosis.

. . .

The symbols used in alchemical writing and art to represent this red stage can include blood, a phoenix, a rose, a crowned king, or a figure wearing red clothes. Countless sources mention a reddening process; the seventeenth dictum of the 12th century Turba Philosophorum is one example:
O Turba of Philosophers and disciples, now hast thou spoken about making into white, but it yet remains to treat concerning the reddening! Know, all ye seekers after this Art, that unless ye whiten, ye cannot make red, because the two natures are nothing other than red and white. Whiten, therefore, the red, and redden the white! [3]
. . .

In the framework of psychological development (especially with followers of Jungian psychology), these four alchemical steps are viewed as analogous to the process of attaining individuation. In an archetypal schema, rubedo would represent the Self archetype, and would be the culmination of the four stages, the merging of ego and Self.[4]

The Self manifests itself in "wholeness," a point in which a person discovers their true nature.

What is arguably more troubling than teal's obvious plagiarism of Wikipedia as a source on Alchemy, is that Wikipedia's material is more informative and better developed. It also offers references to source material, for further study.

Aside from the blatant ethical violation that is plagiarism, not providing references disempowers readers. This is and always has been my larger problem with teal. By not citing her sources, she positions herself as the cosmic answer lady. She closes the loop. When you refer the reader to other sources, you offer them the opportunity to read and evaluate those sources and expand their own learning. But, teal has a lot of her followers convinced that she is an authority on Alchemy and other spiritual disciplines, as if she never needed to read any of it. This encourages dependency. Anything you'd ever want to know about anything at all: just "Ask Teal."

No thanks. I can read Wikipedia for myself.

This post has 20 paragraphs and 1 poem of 4 stanzas, so we'll call that 24 paragraphs. Out of that, roughly 7 1/2 paragraphs were not directly traceable to older material, some of which was directly traceable to Wikipedia. Some of that new text is transitions in and out of the previously published material. In other words, a little over a quarter of this post is actually new.

So, what do we learn in those seven paragraphs? That teal is afraid, therefore everyone is afraid. That she went for a run in a sports bra and shorts and has the photographic evidence to prove it. That she's a victim who is being "scapegoated" and has been since childhood. That, for some strange reason, being a homewrecker has earned her some hostility and that this is mystifying to her. Basically, this post boils down to self-pity, self-plagiarism, and some plagiarized Wikipedia stuff about Alchemy.

I know I'm looking forward to teal's "energy diagnosis" of Paris. My husband suspects the "dominant negative vibration" will be something like "booming." My "energy diagnosis" of the smattering of new material in this post, though, is fear and victimhood. If I were a law of attraction person, I'd say it's not surprising that she was "a match" to multiple coordinated terrorist attacks. Her explanation of the timing is a little different, though.

photo tealparisbeacon.png

photo tealtribetoureiffel_zpsqs0bw9j4.png

Yes, she and her tribe are there to be beacons of light in this difficult time. It's funny how the mass murder by that poor, unfairly maligned boy Elliott Rodger was the reason she didn't move to Santa Barbara, but terrorist attacks in Paris are the reason she did go there. Well, either way, now that she's coordinating these "high frequency" sit-ins, I look forward to hearing about her taking the tribe into Syria.

In the meanwhile, if I want to hear about depression and Alchemy, I'll just watch Strindberg and Helium.

Update: Spiritually Bypassing Citations (12/19/15)

A comment from blairgilbert on this post tipped me to another instance of blatant plagiarism in teal's body of work. She noted word for word pilfering, in the Ask Teal video called "Spiritual Bypassing," from a Collective-Evolution post on the topic, written by Vanessa Petronelli.

The first thing I notice, in looking at Petronelli's article, is that she properly attributes the term "spiritual bypassing" to psychologist John Welwood. Surprising no one, teal does not.

I took a look at the article version of teal's spiritual bypassing video and strongly suspected that still more of it was plagiarized from sources in addition to the Collective-Evolution article. My husband and I did a bit more digging. We found that there were phrases and even entire blocks of text that could be traced to other sources. Some is paraphrased. Some is lifted verbatim.

As I did above, I will attempt to illustrate this using green highlights for identical words and phrases and rose for obvious paraphrasing. I am doing this by hand, so I'm sure I'm missing a lot. I shudder to think what would happen if these documents were compared using plagiarism detection software.

In her comment, blairgilbert identified two glaring examples of plagiarism from the Collective-Evolution article in the video.

Starting at the 13:25 mark, she states nearly word for word the author's third tip to avoid spiritual bypassing (near the end of the article).

And beginning at 15:00, it's glaringly obvious that she just re-phrased the author's ideas presented in tip number 1.

To do this analysis, I used the article version, which has roughly identical text to the video, and pulled out the grafs that correspond to the 13:25 and 15:00 marks. I also found another graf that strongly resembles tip number 2 from the CE article.

Text from teal's article:

In order to avoid the trap of spiritual bypassing, we need to apply what we learn to our life. Spiritual and Self help information is relatively abstract. Attending workshops, talks, reading books, going to yoga and meditation classes, etc. are good tools. However, tools are of no use if they aren’t used. Take action by applying what you are learning from these modalities consistently. Integrate them into your life daily.  If these ideas remain abstract and merely intellectualized, they aren’t going to help you to create long lasting and permanent change.

Similar text from CE article:

Here are some other Tips to Avoid Spiritual Bypassing:

1) Spiritual and Self-Developmental information is abstract. Attending seminars, workshops, reading books, going to yoga and meditation classes, etc. are fantastic tools, however, the most important thing you need to ask yourself is if you are taking action and applying what you are learning from these modalities consistently, by integrating it into your life daily. If it remains abstract and is simply intellectualized it really isn’t going to help you to create long lasting and permanent change.

Text from teal's article:

If we are to avoid the trap of bypassing, we need to let go of the idea that something must be terribly, “wrong,” or dysfunctional about us if we have problems of negative beliefs or negative feelings or negative thoughts. Everyone has personal, “struggles,” to work through. I mean EVERYONE. When we judge our problems or feelings or negative-ness as wrong, we suddenly have a motive for spiritual bypassing. We make where we are “not ok”. We want to be good and right but we can only achieve that goodness or rightness by being inauthentic. We put on a false façade because of it.

Similar text from CE article:

2) Many people believe that something must be terribly, “wrong,” or dysfunctional in their lives to see a Life Coach, Therapist, Counselor or Healer. This is absolutely FALSE. Everyone has personal,  “stuff,” to work through. When you see a professional you move into a vulnerable state of expression and opening; something you cannot always do alone or with friends or family members. These professionals are objective and are invested in only seeing you thrive and grow beyond your limitations and boundaries in a safe setting. They can offer you a different perspective as to what is going on inside of you. They will also hold you accountable to be sure that you are doing the work and making progress in between sessions that create a lasting impact on your life.

Text from teal's article:

In order to avoid the trap of spiritual bypassing, we need to be brave enough to admit to how we feel, what we want and don’t want, what we like and don’t like. We need to be willing to risk admitting to where we are and who we are, even if we think that where we are and who we are isn’t good or ok. If we want to avoid the pitfall of spiritual bypassing, we must express and allow our emotions, wounds, traumas and pain to surface healthily and with compassion.

Similar text from CE article:

3)Express and allow your emotions, wounds, traumas and pain to surface healthily and with love. Let go of the fear, judgment and suppressing of emotions. We often turn to things outside of ourselves to cope with our internal pain and suffering. Examples include addictions to food, drink, drugs, shopping, sex, work, focusing on others and diverting attention away from yourself etc.  Make peace with being uncomfortable. If you are numbing yourself inside out this energy lingers and creates a breeding ground for other issues to arise and manifest. Get down to the root of your problems as they will not go away on their own.

That is some, but probably not all, of the direct lifting from the Collective-Evolution article. What she did not take from that article was the clear reference to the psychologist who originated the term "spiritual bypassing," John Welwood. This did not stop Welwood's ideas from showing up in teal's article, word for word.

The similarity between teal's text and this interview with John Welwood entitled Human Nature, Buddha Nature: On Spiritual Bypassing, Relationship and the Dharma is hard to miss.

Text from teal's article:

Spiritual bypassing also leads to a one-sided form of spirituality where one aspect of life is elevated at the expense of its opposite. For example, objective truth (being valued more) is used to invalidate subjective truth. Non-physical is valued over form, 5d is valued and 3d is devalued. Transcendence is valued over physical embodiment, and detachment is valued over feeling. This behavior of valuing one side of polarity over the other gives rise to extremely damaging experiences. For example, one might, try to practice emotional detachment from others by suppressing one’s need for love and becoming independently self loving, but this only drives the need to be loved by others underground, so that it often becomes unconsciously acted out in covert and manipulative ways instead.

Similar text from Welwood's interview:

Trying to move beyond our psychological and emotional issues by sidestepping them is dangerous. It sets up a debilitating split between the buddha and the human within us. And it leads to a conceptual, one-sided kind of spirituality where one pole of life is elevated at the expense of its opposite: Absolute truth is favored over relative truth, the impersonal over the personal, emptiness over form, transcendence over embodiment, and detachment over feeling. One might, for example, try to practice nonattachment by dismissing one’s need for love, but this only drives the need underground, so that it often becomes unconsciously acted out in covert and possibly harmful ways instead.

Text from teal's article:

Being a good spiritual person can become a substitute identity that covers up and defends against an underlying deficient identity. The spiritual idea we have of ourselves is used to whitewash over the truth of our true concept of ourselves, which is that we feel badly about ourselves. We feel that we are not good enough. We feel that we are innately Bad. Then, although we may be practicing diligently, our spiritual practice can be used in the service of denial and defense. And when spiritual practice is used to bypass our real-life human issues, our spirituality becomes compartmentalized.

Similar text from Welwood's interview:

Being a good spiritual practitioner can become what I call a compensatory identity that covers up and defends against an underlying deficient identity, where we feel badly about ourselves, not good enough, or basically lacking. Then, although we may be practicing diligently, our spiritual practice can be used in the service of denial and defense. And when spiritual practice is used to bypass our real-life human issues, it becomes compartmentalized in a separate zone of our life, and remains unintegrated with our overall functioning.

We also found a quote from Robert Agustus Masters on Facebook, which appears nearly word for word in teal's article. I ran down the quote and found this article, in which Agustus also clearly references John Welwood as the man who identified the problem of spiritual bypassing. Of course, teal references neither Masters, nor Welwood.

Text from teal's article:

Some examples of spiritual bypassing include anger-phobia, exaggerated detachment, emotional numbing and repression, blind or overly tolerant compassion, weak or too porous boundaries, using cognitive reasoning to escape emotional feelings. Debilitating judgment about one's negativity or shadow side, devaluation of the personal relative to the spiritual, avoidance of physical day to day life, delusions of having arrived at a higher level of being and my personal least favorite, overemphasis of and attachment to the positive to the degree that there is a high level of resistance to anything negative.

Similar text Robert Agustus Masters:

Spiritual bypassing is a very persistent shadow of spirituality, manifesting in many forms, often without being acknowledged as such. Aspects of spiritual bypassing include exaggerated detachment, emotional numbing and repression, overemphasis on the positive, anger-phobia, blind or overly tolerant compassion, weak or too porous boundaries, lopsided development (cognitive intelligence often being far ahead of emotional and moral intelligence), debilitating judgment about one's negativity or shadow side, devaluation of the personal relative to the spiritual, and delusions of having arrived at a higher level of being.

Looking at this sea of green, it's hard to argue that teal did not plagiarize from all three of these articles. Worse, she has not only failed to cite her sources, she has failed to cite THE source of the term with which she's entitled her article and Ask Teal video. It's blatant theft of Welwood's intellectual property. Yes, "spiritual bypassing" is a concept that is currently proliferating throughout new agedom. I'm glad of it. It's a welcome relief from the willful denial espoused by The Secret and other LOA material. I'm sure many people who refer to the concept don't know its origins. But, I don't see how teal could possibly have missed this important piece of information, when she so obviously read and borrowed extensively from works in which he is clearly named.

Once again, teal has positioned herself as the cosmic answer lady, spouting information she "just knows." And, once again, these ideas have very human sources that are only a google search away.

Update: How Many Cheneys on the Cooks Source Scale is This? (2/11/16)

photo cheneysoncookssource_wheaton_zpscve6nec6.png

*Heavy Sigh*

Is it that she can't learn or she won't learn?

In my previous update, I demonstrated, with careful highlighting, teal's word-for-word lifts on the issue of spiritual bypassing. Despite quoting him extensively, she never even referenced the psychologist who coined the term "spiritual bypassing," John Welwood. Now, she's self-plagiarized the article in which she plagiarized Welwood and others who have written on the topic. If you were holding out hope that she's avoided carrying over those blatantly lifted phrasings and ideas, or finally acknowledged her sources, you will be disappointed.

It's even more distressing when you consider that this post is clean and grammatically coherent enough to indicate that it was copy-edited. Her copy editor really doesn't know that this is blatant, obvious plagiarism?! There are some other very interesting slips, like this one:

So for the time being, I have been silent about it for the sake of evading even more conflict.

Most of us avoid unpleasantness. She evades it.  To evade almost always involves some form of trickery and deception – very telling use of language, I think.

Examples of teal's plagiarism and self-plagiarism are too numerous to count and document. It would be a full-time job. She rarely writes a post that isn't made up of something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue – a knack that may serve her as she prepares for her fourth wedding, but does not befit a published author.

She can't, for instance, resist lifting facts from Wikipedia, without citation, as in her recent post on Sydney, Australia.

Between 1788 and 1868 over one hundred and sixty thousand convicts were transported here to various penile colonies by the British government.  One could say that for a time, Great Britain’s policy for preventing prison overcrowding and dealing with their criminals was to ship them to Australia.  Due to the continent’s isolation in the middle of the sea, it was considered to be an ideal place to banish them to.  They say only 20 percent of the population here are the decedents of convicts.  But that figure surprises me given the social style of the average Australian.  In my opinion, the convict era did shape the national character of this area immensely.

Here is Wikipedia's version:

Between 1788 and 1868, approximately 162,000 convicts were transported to the various Australian penal colonies by the British government.[1]

The British government began transporting criminals to overseas colonies in the 17th century. When transportation to the American colonies declined with the move towards American independence in the 1770s, an alternative site was needed to avoid further overcrowding of British prisons and hulks. In 1770, James Cook charted and claimed possession of the east coast of Australia for Britain. Due to the continent's isolation, it was considered ideal for a penal colony, and in 1787 the First Fleet of eleven convict ships set sail for Botany Bay, arriving on 20 January 1788 to found Sydney, the first European settlement in Australia. Other penal colonies were later established in Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania), Queensland and Western Australia. Penal transportation to Australia peaked in the 1830s and dropped off significantly in the following decade. The last convict ship arrived in Western Australia on 10 January 1868.

Many of the convicts were transported for petty crimes; others were political prisoners. More serious crimes, such as rape and murder, were not transportable offences. After their prison terms were served most stayed in Australia and joined the other settlers, with some rising to prominent positions in Australian society. Approximately 20% of modern Australians are descended from transported convicts. Once deemed the "convict stain", it is now considered by many Australians to be a cause for celebration to have a convict in one's lineage. The extent to which the convict era has shaped Australia's national character has been studied by many writers and historians.[2]

Whether she's misspelled penal as penile to try to throw people off, or because she doesn't know the difference between a penis and a prison, is anybody's guess. Equally confusing is her misspelling of descendants as decedents, aka., dead people. Some of this reads like a high schooler's attempt to camouflage plagiarism, with obvious weasel phrases like "one could say" and "in my opinion." Really? "One could say" that it was Great Britain's policy to use Australia as a penal colony? Sure, in the same sense that "one could say" the earth orbits the sun. It's not an opinion! It's an undisputed fact!!!

While in New Zealand, she penned one of her bizarre energy diagnoses. Auckland, it seems, suffers from "inertia," but it also has the virtue of "repose," which is kind of like inertia but calmer. But, teal has the prescription for their stuck underwaterness. She's self-plagiarized the bulk of a her previous article "Feeling Lost and Ten Steps to Becoming Found." One assumes she doesn't think those poor, inert Kiwis can find the original article... or the blog post she also self-plagiarized it into only last November. The post is also interesting for this subconscious reveal:

I went after areas of avoidance and blind spots within the participants like a predator during this workshop. [emphasis added]

Since her return from those lands down under, she's been venting up a storm on her blog. Her most recent post is all about her uterus and contains helpful gynecology graphics, so we know what that is. I'll paraphrase and save readers the trouble:

Ale is off to California to fight for custody of his children. I feel abandoned. Ale should put a baby in me and forget about those OTHER children that he had with that bitch wife who says mean things about me just because I stole her husband.

That's the gist and my summary has the added benefit of not containing plagiarized material from the Mayo Clinic's website. It seems that teal suffers from endometriosis, a painful condition to be sure. This she attributes to her alienation from her own womb. In yet another case of shadow projection, she manages to blame this on Planned Parenthood.

They tried to frighten the girls off of sex by traumatizing us about pregnancy and birth.

Because they should, what, encourage teen pregnancy???

She describes endometriosis thusly:

With endometriosis, the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus begins to grow outside the uterusDisplaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally would. It thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Because this displaced tissue and blood has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped. When endometriosis involves the ovaries, cysts called endometriomas may form. Surrounding tissue becomes irritated, eventually developing scar tissue and adhesions, which is abnormal tissue that binds organs together, sometimes resulting in a frozen pelvis.  It is infamous for the pain it causes, especially during menstruation and also for the fact that it causes infertility.

The thing is, the Mayo Clinic describes it in strikingly similar terms:

Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus (endometrial implant). Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, bowel or the tissue lining your pelvis. Rarely, endometrial tissue may spread beyond your pelvic region.

In endometriosis, displaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally would — it thickens, breaks down and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Because this displaced tissue has no way to exit your body, it becomes trapped. When endometriosis involves the ovaries, cysts called endometriomas may form. Surrounding tissue can become irritated, eventually developing scar tissue and adhesions abnormal tissue that binds organs together.

Endometriosis can cause painsometimes severeespecially during your period. Fertility problems also may develop. Fortunately, effective treatments are available.

So, as you can see, her post on endometriosis is hemorrhaging the green highlights of word-for-word plagiarism.

It's actually kind of incredible how much recycled verbiage teal can generate out of a handful of unattributed sources. For instance, from one paper, which can be found on the website for SOAS University of London, she has produced a number of posts. The article "Stress Management Practical Strategies" is a word document, but can be read here, as well.

Material from that page can be found word for word in teal's article on stress. For some reason her list of 10 items are all number 1, so it makes for strange reading. By the time she's recycled it into blog posts here and here, she's corrected that problem, but other than that, it's changed little. Entire blocks of text have made their way from that source document to teal's posts, with few changes.

Writes teal:

How you think has a profound effect on your emotional and physical well-being. Each time you think a negative thought about yourself or your life, your body reacts as if it were in the throes of a tension-filled situation. If you think positive thoughts about yourself and your life, your body will react by releasing chemicals that make you feel good. Work to eliminate words such as "always," "never," "should," and "must" from your vocabulary. These definitive statements are very conducive to thoughts which are self-defeating and create stress.

From the SOAS article:

How you think can have a profound effect on your emotional and physical wellbeing. Each time you think a negative thought about yourself, your body reacts as if it were in the throes of a tension-filled situation. If you see good things about yourself, you are more likely to feel good; the reverse is also true. Eliminate words such as "always," "never," "should," and "must." These are significant marks of self-defeating thoughts.

Here's a helpful subsection from teal on unhealthy ways of relieving stress, which is offered in all three of those posts:

Do you practice coping strategies which temporarily reduce stress but cause more damage in the long run? Such as:
  • Smoking
  • Drinking
  • Overeating or under eating
  • Trying to avoid stressors by spending hours in front of the TV or computer
  • Withdrawing from friends, family, and activities
  • Using pills or drugs to relax
  • Escaping by sleeping too much
  • Procrastinating
  • Filling up every minute of the day with things to do so as to avoid facing problems Or
  • Taking out your stress on others (lashing out, angry outbursts, physical violence)

Here's what it says in the article from SOAS:

These coping strategies may temporarily reduce stress, but they cause more damage in the long run:
  • Smoking
  • Drinking too much
  • Overeating or undereating
  • Zoning out for hours in front of the TV or computer
  • Withdrawing from friends, family, and activities
  • Using prescription pills or drugs to relax
  • Sleeping too much
  • Procrastinating
  • Filling up every minute of the day to avoid facing problems
  • Taking out your stress on others (lashing out, angry outbursts, physical violence)

Most of teal's recommendations on stress relief come from that page. She's just jumbled up the order and priority a bit. And, her list of healthy relaxation strategies also bears a striking resemblance to the SOAS article.

1. Make time for fun and relaxation by finding healthy ways to relax and recharge, and give yourself permission to do so.

. . .

  • Call a good friend
  • Spend time outside
  • Take a bath
  • Sweat out tension with a good workout
  • Write in a journal
  • Savor a warm cup of tea
  • Make yourself one of your comfort foods
  • Spend time with a pet (pets have been shown to dramatically reduce stress)
  • Get a massage
  • Play a game
  • Read a book
  • Drive to a place with an amazing view
  • Listen to music
  • Watch a comedy movie
  • Connect with others. Spend time with positive people who enhance your life. A strong support system will buffer you from the negative effects of stress.

Here's the SOAS list:

Stress management strategy 5: Make time for relaxation

Beyond a take-charge approach and a positive attitude, you can reduce stress in your life by nurturing yourself. If you regularly make time for fun and relaxation, you’ll be in a better place to handle life’s stressors when they inevitably come.

Healthy ways to relax and recharge

  • Go for a walk.
  • Spend time in nature/hug a tree.
  • Call a good friend.
  • Sweat out tension with a good workout.
  • Write in your journal.
  • Take a long bath.
  • Light scented candles.
  • Practice Yoga/meditate
  • Savour a hot drink.
  • Play with a pet.
  • Work in your garden.
  • Get a massage.
  • Curl up with a good book.
  • Listen to music and dance.
  • Watch a comedy.

I'm not really sure why teal left yoga off her version of that list, because she loves to write about yoga... and to steal text from actual authorities on the topic. For instance, she recently wrote about a yoga retreat at Sagrada Wellness.

Yoga practice will stimulate conscious and unconscious responses in every individual. Your body’s responses to yoga, whether those responses are sensations, emotions, moods, or images, are the first sign that something important is going on within us. Yoga meets the psyche and emotional center in the place where we feel reactive to the yoga. Every muscle has its own associated psychological/emotional function.  A health practitioner, like myself is concerned with the responsiveness of a muscle.  And a muscle’s responsiveness in yoga is mostly related to its state of elasticity.  If the psychological/emotional function associated with a specific muscle was abandoned early or was not learned at all, the muscle will be under-responsive. A person will usually have a lack of aliveness and sensory awareness in this area of the body. Psychologically there may be a sense of numbness or of something missing or of not knowing how to do something. In yoga, when we stress the under-responsive muscle by using it strongly, the psychological history related to this muscle will be triggered.

What's funny about that is how similar it sounds to this article by Joel Isaacs, PhD (see also here).

Interestingly, the somatic psychotherapy my colleagues and I now practice, called Bodynamics, deals every day with the particular psychological content held in each muscle. So we have a perspective important for the yoga community, while not at all being experts in the field of yoga. We know (as does every yoga teacher) that a yoga practice will stimulate conscious and unconscious responses in every individual. Our body’s responses to the stretching and stressing of yoga, whether sensations, emotions, moods, or even images, are the first sign that something or importance is going on for us. This is the place where yoga meets the psyche, where mind and body can begin to integrate.

. . .

In a similar way to this example of the triceps and setting limits, every muscle has its own associated psychological function. Each one retains an imprint of the response to its related behavior. So our history is stored in our body and in our brain, and it can be accessed through the body. (In fact, the attitudes stored in the muscles can be measured manually by palpation, and a map made from which our history can be “read”.) In our daily life the historical responses may be stimulated when the muscle is either stretched or stressed (used strongly). In Bodynamics, we talk about a muscle’s responsiveness, which is related to its elasticity. If the psychological function expressed by the muscle has been given up early or was not learned, the muscle will be under-responsive. A person will usually have a lack of liveliness and sensory awareness in this area. Psychologically there may be a sense in related situations of something missing, of not knowing how to do something. In this case, when we stress the muscle by using it strongly, the psychological history is likely to be stimulated.

It goes on. Here is some more of teal's text:

If the disruption occurred later in the developmental period when a muscle was being imprinted, it will be over-responsive instead of under responsive.  A person will usually have a sense that they lack flexibility, hold back, or respond in a rigid way relative to these muscle groups. For an over-responsive muscle, the trauma associated with this muscle will be triggered when it is stretched. Conversely, either stressing an over-responsive muscle or stretching an under-responsive one will tend to suppress the psychological and emotional content associated with that muscle.

In my opinion, the psychological and emotional content contained in the muscles will not change simply by stretching or strengthening the muscle. You must first work-through the particular psychological/emotional issue.  But that being said, working from both the direction of body and mind is ideal.  Working through a psychological/emotional issue frees the associated muscle from having to “hold” that trauma. This leads to more freedom of movement and more flexibility on a mental, physical and emotional level.

And this is from Doctor Isaacs's article:

On the other hand, if the disruption occurred later in the developmental period when that muscle was being imprinted, it will be over-responsive. A person will usually sense some energy in these muscles, and psychologically they may have a sense that in related situations they lack flexibility, hold back, or feel compelled to respond in a rigid way. For an over-responsive muscle, the history will be stimulated when it is stretched. Conversely, stressing an over-responsive muscle (or stretching an under-responsive one) will tend to suppress the psychological content.

For better or worse, the psychological attitudes contained in the muscles will not generally be changed simply by stretching, or toning, or strengthening them. You must first work-through the particular psychological issue and make some changes in your behavior. Working through a psychological issue frees the associated muscle from having to “hold” psychological history. This leads to more freedom of movement and more psychological flexibility. Then, the muscles responsiveness will change towards neutral, and a corresponding body and psychological resource can be developed. When a resource is established in our body we tend to act spontaneously in our best interest, rather than having to think through each situation. At a secondary level, other nearby muscles that had been recruited to compensate also become freer, and those abilities are somewhat more accessible.

The best tweak in her entire post is where she changed Isaacs's "for better or worse" to "in my opinion." It's not her opinion. It's his.

I'll stop there, not because the rest of her piece is original, but because it's exhausting and overwhelming keeping up with the scope of her intellectual theft. I feel pretty comfortable, at this point, saying that teal is a serial plagiarist and that she's treating the internet like a smorgasbord of ideas to claim as her own.

What original concepts does she bring to the mix? Predation, evasion, and dog whistles to a following so devoted they'd give their lives.

They come to me now from all corners of the globe.  And I can genuinely say that I have officially gone from a person who had absolutely no one; a person who was drowning in the kind of isolation that sucks breath from your lungs, to a person who has people that are so close to me that they will live and die by my side.

Update: Addicted to Plagiarism (2/24/16)

It's been a strange couple of weeks on planet teal. She's been taking a lot heat for both her professional and all too public private life. And, predictably, she's gone straight for the pity play. She is being "slandered," "attacked," and "scapegoated," says she. She is responsible for none of it, only a "match" to it, because she's always been slandered, attacked, and scapegoated. It's a funny interpretation of the "law of attraction" that somehow always reduces to teal = victim.

The "slander" comes in the form of (clutch the pearls!) an accusation of plagiarism. Ma Nithya Swarupapriyananda, whose further comments can be found on this page, posted a video about teal's "Completion Process" and its curious resemblance to teachings by her guru, Nithyananda. But, for all teal's complaints about this accusation, she has yet to directly address the charge in any of her dog whistles blog posts.

She's far more upset, she says, by the ongoing tumult in her romantic life. Hot on the heels of her pained admission that Ale has lost almost all custody rights, due to his relationship with her "dangerous cult leader" self, she has announced the date of their pending nuptials. But, this is where things got really strange.

An observant reader noticed that the tags for her wedding announcement blog post included the word "funeral," which appears nowhere in the text. In fact the url for the post is http://blog.thespiritualcatalyst.com/the-wedding-and-the-funeral, despite its title being "The Purity of Union." This clever reader found the original post in google cache and found that it's been through a title change and the loss of about half of its content. The deleted content, as it turns out, is a lot of self-plagiarized drivel. It originally appeared here and here. It's already been recycled into an older blog post here. I've read it. Leave it to teal to turn the lovely idea of a fire ceremony for fantasies about one's past into something morbid.

So, did teal think better of the simply horrible idea of attaching all that death imagery to her pending nuptials? Four Weddings and a Funeral was a cute movie, but this is, in fact, her fourth marriage. Talking about corpses, coffins, and funeral pyres might not read as her putting her best foot forward. Or, is it possible, I wondered, that she's begun to realize that plagiarism of either herself or other, unwitting writers isn't exactly putting her best foot forward, either. Could she actually be starting to understand this?

Nope.

The very next day an even stranger blog post appeared and it is as unoriginal as it is bad. How ironic, considering that it purports to be a kind of grand confession. She's announced to all and sundry that she's a sex and love addict, to which all and sundry replied, this is news how?

So, what prompted this bout of "honesty?" I appears that critics of her plagiarism and Ale's wife's attorneys aren't the only people giving her flak. I first became aware of the latest teal drama when a friend of mine noticed that her Facebook friend list was down by over 300, um, friends. Facebook only allows 5,000 friends and teal is always around that maximum, only bestowing her coveted friendship on the most worthy, when there's the occasional opening. She doesn't pick them herself. She has people for that. They choose the appropriate energetic matches from her many waiting followers. And so I expect they did the other day, only this time the openings were in the hundreds.

What caused this sudden purge? Another friend informed me that all hell broke loose on her the Facebook post of this picture and wedding announcement.

Most of the negative comments were cleaned up, along with her friend list, but they missed a few.

In the post, teal vents about negative comments she's been getting about her pending nuptials.

I have been avoiding the comments underneath my posts about this upcoming wedding to Ale because of how cruel some people have been with their judgments about my love life and about marriage in general. Because of my willingness to be authentic about my personal life, as opposed to hide it like every other spiritual teacher, people cease to view me as a ‘teacher’ and begin to see me like an immature little sister who they have to advise...

She talks a good game about how she's come down off the "pedestal" by talking endlessly about her private life, but she hates when it actually interferes with her role as an authority figure.

The post reeks of damage control. And like all teal damage control, it includes both appeals to pity and a lot of attention on her body and sexuality. It's hard to take her sex addict "sobriety," seriously, when she starts the post off with a graphic, erotic poem and sexy, pouty photo of her younger self.

She doesn't explain how she's actually dealing with her addiction, except that she's already dismissed Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous.

I have to stay in check with the amount of influence I have in other people’s lives. For this reason, I regularly see various therapists. But I also found myself attending Love Addicts Anonymous last year. To be honest, I hated it. This is going to really invalidate people who believe in the AA approach to addiction recovery. But in my opinion, not only is the Love Addicts Anonymous curriculum completely wrong about how to accomplish recovery, it is a recipe for self hate. They do not teach attendees how to approach the inner void and loneliness. They simply prescribe forcing yourself to be single and attend the groups. From there, the solution they give you is to essentially pray for help from a higher power. Don’t even get me started on the AA curriculum. I shall save that for another day.

So, she's staying in check with her influence on other people, but thinks stating her opinion actually invalidates – renders invalid – not only Twelve Step programs, but the people who use them.  Somehow, she went to these meetings and failed understand the program completely. It's a ridiculously shallow interpretation. I'm not surprised she thinks it's a "recipe for self hate," though. These are the steps.

The Twelve Steps of S.L.A.A.

  1. We admitted we were powerless over sex and love addiction - that our lives had become unmanageable.
  2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
  3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God.
  4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
  5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
  6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
  7. Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings.
  8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
  9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
  10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
  11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with a Power greater than ourselves, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out.
  12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these
  13. steps, we tried to carry this message to sex and love addicts and to practice these principles in all areas of our lives.

I expect steps 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 would be particularly challenging for teal, because they're all about taking personal responsibility. They won't allow you to just keep blaming your parents, Mormon Satanists, or anyone else. It's more like shadow work than anything teal teaches, because what she teaches is just more shadow projection.

Her rejection of SLAA, though, did not cause her to reject the text from a rehab that works with the Twelve Step model.

Love addiction can be associated with any of the following patterns:
  • Difficulty sustaining relationships after the initial excitement wears off
  • Constantly searching for a newer, better relationship
  • Feeling unhappy or worthless when alone but scared or dissatisfied when in a relationship
  • Repeatedly attracting troubled or emotionally unavailable partners
  • Confusing sex and romance for real love
  • Escaping feelings of loneliness or unhappiness through sex or relationships
  • Having multiple affairs
  • Serial dating
  • Having anonymous or unprotected sex
  • Falling “in love” with strangers
  • Trading sex for love, affection, money or power
  • Using any means necessary to attract or hold onto a love interest
  • Inability to set appropriate boundaries
  • Withdrawing from friends, family, career or interests to focus on a romantic relationship

. . .

  • Unsuccessfully trying to stay single for a certain period of time
  • Inability to stop seeing or dating a specific person even with the knowledge that it is destructive

. . .

  • Overlooking a partner’s faults to perpetuate the fantasy

In her post, teal has simply changed the bullet points to sentence fragments, tweaked a few words and riffed a bit with some doggerel in the middle of the graf.

Attachment addiction (love addiction) tends to show up in the following patterns: Difficulty sustaining relationships after the initial obsessive phase wanesConstantly searching for a better relationshipFeeling worthless and suicidal when alone but terrified and dissatisfied when in a relationship. Repeatedly attracting troubled, avoidant or emotionally unavailable partnersConfusing sex and romance for real conscious and committed loveInvolvement with a fantasy of who someone could be, rather than involvement with the reality of who someone actually is, which leads to perpetual relationships with incompatible partners.  Premature commitment usually in the form of impulsive decisions to increase the level of bonding such as moving in together, getting married and having children.  The inability to take a relationship slowly because of the intensity of bonding, immediacy of bonding, depth of intimacy and desperate fear of abandonment.  Serial dating or serial monogamy.  Potential affairsAnonymous and unsafe sexUsing sex, affection and sensual charm as a currency exchange for protection, power or money.  The inability to set healthy and appropriate boundariesWithdrawing from all other relationships when focused on ‘the one’ primary attachment relationship (partner) in their life.  And the inability to be single.

She does refer to a viral Huffington Post article on addiction, and deserves some credit for doing so. But, it doesn't excuse her, once again, plagiarizing swaths of text from an un-named source. Nor does it excuse the self-plagiarism of this article, which also appears in this very long post.

I strongly suspect that we've only touched the surface of teal's pattern of theft. Rumors about her "Completion Process" have been swirling for a while, and Nithyananda is not the only possible source that has been suggested. Unless I miss my guess, this is another of these horrible Frankenstein's monsters she creates, stitching together random bits of material from better thinkers.

Not only is teal bereft of original ideas, she's a horrible, horrible writer. She needs to plagiarize, because left to her own devices, she comes up with nonsensical verbiage like this.

The world that is internal to the relationship is raw yet pristine in its paragon.

How are raw and pristine opposites? And, what, in the name of all that is holy, does she think "paragon" means? Just wrong, wrong, wrong.

Paragon applies to someone who is a model of perfection in some quality or trait. We link paragon with other words that follow it, such as "paragon of virtue" or "paragon of patience."

A paragon means someone or something that is the very best. The English noun paragon comes from the Italian word paragone, which is a touchstone, a black stone that is used to tell the quality of gold. You rub the gold on the touchstone and you can find out how good the gold is. You are hoping that it is the paragon of "goldness."

She's just a horrible writer, who uses the thesaurus like an oracle, and drops big words she barely understands into weird contexts and tortured syntax. What she does to the English language should be illegal. What she does with other people's ideas already is.

Update: Plagiarizing Hay House (9/8/17)

In what may be her most brazen theft of intellectual property yet, teal plagiarized a facebook post from her own publisher. The plagiarized text is an obituary of Louise Hay, posted on the day of her passing. Once again, it's almost word for word. I don't know what bothers me more, that she's lifted entire paragraphs, or her weak attempts to obscure the fact that she's lifted entire paragraphs. And what's worse, after starting out with what looks like one of her classic attempts to tweak enough words and phrases to throw readers off the trail, it's like she just got bored and gave up. She stopped even trying to modify the text. She's removed things like the quote from Reid Tracy, and paraphrased the content in her introduction. She's wedged in some self-referential bits. But entire swathes of text are unchanged.

The good folks at Question Teal have already done the hard work of highlighting word for word replication, so I'm just going to post their image.

She posted this text in two places that I'm aware of, on her personal Facebook page and on the Spiritual Catalyst page, which I think even people without Facebook membership can view. But just in case, I'm posting screenshots of the entire post. As you can see, there is no credit given to the Hay House page from which the text was taken.

Question Teal also points out that she got lots of praise for  her "heartfelt" words, despite the fact that they were neither heartfelt nor hers.

Her own thoughts were not so much heartfelt as critical, distancing, uncompassionate, and self-referential.

The video is here, but it appears to be cut off. Who knows what she's said about Hay behind the paywall? (Because now you have to pay to hear her bitch. She's a spiritual teacher, you know.) Listen to that, or read the text above, and it becomes all the more clear why she plagiarizes so much. Left to her own devices, she doesn't make a lick of sense. Who in the hell was depending on Louise Hay, at this point? She was 90 years old! She was retired. I would hope that Hay had been able to depend on other people, in her final years. And need I point out that there is absolutely nothing ironic about Hay House and teal being born in the same year? Aren't published authors supposed to know the meaning of common words and concepts?

So on the day of Louise Hay's passing, teal insulted her life's work and stole material from the publishing house she founded. She's really taken disrespect to a new level.

Update: Even Her Uterus is a Plagiarist (4/21/22)

I am so sick of writing and thinking about this woman. But the outrages, they continue, and the plagiarism, while nowhere near as serious as her suicide obsession, just bugs me. And now comes the horrifying realization that her now deceased (and somehow airborn?) uterus is/was also a plagiarist.

I refer here to a poem penned by said uterus, that drips with unintentional reveals and almost certainly intentional lifts, from, well, poets who could actually write.

Apparently, teal, who has long suffered, very publically, with endometriosis, has had a hysterectomy. (I would wish neither on anyone.) So naturally, she has produced a poem "Written From The Perspective of Her Newly Deceased Womb." Some of this seemed awfully familiar to this holder of a BA in English.

"Death can have no edict," writes teal's womb. But Dylan Thomas wrote "And death shall have no dominion," many years before teal and her womb were born.

"So do not stand at my grave and weep," says teal's womb. (It has its own grave?!) This exceedingly recognizable phrase, nearly word for word, opens a poem that has been wrongly attributed to a number of authors, but the first known publication was in The Gypsy in 1934 by one Clare Harner. I guess the best thing we can say here is that teal and her uterus weren't the first to misappropriate it.

"Faith is a thing with feathers." Being something of an Emily Dickinson fan, I recognized this immediately as the first line of her poem "Hope," where it reads "Hope is the thing with feathers."

"It sings at the break of day," and, the uterus informs us, is now flying free as a bird. An extremely similar sentiment was penned by the late, great Leonard Cohen, in "Anthem."

The birds they sang
At the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
Has passed away
Or what is yet to be.

The above were all recognizable to me on the first scan of this morbid and terrible "poem." There's probably more that's stolen, so feel free to call 'em out when you see them.

I still have so many questions. Is her uterus in a grave or flying about? Or both somehow? The whole thing put my husband in mind of the vampiric Pĕnanggalan, a Southeast Asian myth of a head and exposed organs that flies about and kills people.

Another thing struck me, when I read this blood-soaked dreck. Some of it reads as a confessional.

Sometimes a flower cannot bloom
for lack of adequate light.
All its sweetness
all its luster
all its feminine warmth
will never burgeon to be seen. The question is... [The bizarrely placed ellipsis is hers, not mine.]
when the unrelenting grasp of that darkness
quells its hope for life

Is she admitting to just how dark she is, that she quells hope for life? Because this has been a major concern of mine since I first heard her playing Leslie Wangsgaard's suicide for laughs during her Santa Fe workshop, as I wrote here, way back in January of 2014. (See also this and this.) Her catalyzation of suicidality has emerged as a leading concern of many since then, and figured prominently in media investigations like The Gateway podcast and the BBC reportage that resulted in Facebook's removal of Teal Tribe and YouTube's crackdown on a number of her videos. I also expect that it will figure prominently in the upcoming Vice episode of True Believers which looks to be airing on May 2. Don't forget to set your DVR.

  4. I ignored this bit of absurdity when she published it as an article here. But, now it's out as a video on just the wrong effing day.

Let me get this straight. When it comes to racial insensitivity, we just shouldn't hold back. We need to be "authentic." But, when people criticize her for rubbing shoulders with royalty and putting on airs, she deletes a bunch of comments and scolds them with THIS.

So, it's ridiculous that we're all walking on "broken glass" (???) when it comes to issues of race, but everyone is supposed to tiptoe on eggshells when it comes to her delicate sensibilities.

The woman calls her critics HATE GROUPS and then does a video defending genuine hate and racism. She's truly unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

    3. It's encouraging that people were disturbed by the jarring difference in a spiritual teacher one day being called by the universe to heal the city of Paris then a few days later being called by the universe to pose for fashion photographs outside the Monaco Opera House. Perhaps even with the rhetorical manoeuvres of spiritual P.R. that was a bit too glaring a lie to pull off successfully in 72 hours...

What happens when this film is released? If it does raise her profile surely at some point one of the mainstream media outlets is going to investigate/ question Teal's claims. What happens then? Is the New York Times or which ever it might be going to be branded a member of the Teal Hate Group too?

    4. I think she's already finding that even with Hay House behind her, she's having trouble getting anything approaching mainstream bookings. I think this because she said so.

"I am a wildcard in the spiritual business. I make certain people in this business nervous because I do not come in a package that makes people comfortable. I do not commit myself to saying only what people want to hear. I do not say politically correct things for the sake of good PR. I say what everyone else is content to think only to themselves. I air my own dirty laundry. Some people in this business, who do not see the value or wisdom in this approach, avoid booking me, promoting me or associating with me because they fear potential condemnation by association. They know that I am uncontrollable. Many do not understand there is a difference between being an ‘unnecessarily negative diva’ and being a ‘powerfully self confident teacher of authenticity’. To be honest with you, often this makes me feel as if I am not genuinely seen or understood."

Yeah, where would anyone get the idea that she's just an unnecessarily negative diva? Could it be because she thinks it's okay to vent your spleen by spouting racial stereotypes, but not with any criticism of her? Could it be because she publicly humiliates people who are "against her?"

She wants the spotlight, but it turns out she doesn't clean up real well. You can put her in a gorgeous gown take her to Monaco, but she's just as unpleasant and judgmental as ever, so...

  5. My sense is this type of spiritual teacher is only paying lip service to getting rid of the old hierarchy anyway - they just to want a new hierarchy based on spiritual products. Swan appeared fine with being treated like a queen in Prague and to announce she had "arrived at court finally " as "a teacher of alchemy on the world stage", here:

See how that works? It's good to be "authentic," no matter how cruel, unless it's about her and hurts her feelings. This whole monarchy business is bad unless she's being pampered like royalty. Quite the double standard.

And, yes, I read that one, about her being among the masters of alchemy. I wonder if King Rudolf and his round table of alchemists cribbed from Wikipedia.

That post is just one howler after another, though. She says all sorts of absurd things really badly, but she generally does in those posts.

I guess that would be a "no".

    3. That would be a no. The closest was Blake commenting once on this blog post, but not to me, in any direct way. It had to do with someone who's commented here many times and whose entire comment history was deleted from teal's blog. He left a long post about why teal is good and how opposed he was to such censorship. But, when a number of people, including myself, asked some clarifying questions, he did not respond. I know, he saw the comments, because it was evident from the stats. He lectured us all, passed the buck on the comment purge, and refused to actually engage and answer questions. So, there you have it.

  9. More interesting things regarding her recent "Your Life is Waiting" blog post, referenced above. Not only is about half of it, once again, self-plagiarized (see above), it's more richly layered hypocrisy. She was careful to caveat in this post that it "makes perfect sense" to censor on one's own platform. So, despite Blake's insistence (see above) that he and teal are anti-censorship, her own platforms are, in fact, censored – increasingly so. Many people have noticed that it can now take days for any comments to appear on her blog posts. Why? ALL the comments are now moderated. No more critical comments are going to be allowed to slip through. No more catching them before they're deleted. So, on this post, which went up on the 23rd, no comments appeared until the 25th. Suddenly there were 30 comments, dating back to the 23rd. That total remained unchanged until late on the 27th when 3 more comments appeared, dating back 'til the 26th. I've posted a couple of screenshots showing the date disparity. So, on this post about how outraged she is by political correctness and a bunch of diplomats censoring her for being undiplomatic, she's characteristically censoring any possible criticism of her. I doubt she appreciates the irony, since she's demonstrated repeatedly that she doesn't actually know what that word means.

  10. As I pointed out in my very first blog post on teal, the only time teal lets criticism of her stand on any platform she can control, is when she or her supporters are able to refute it to her satisfaction.

For instance, her recent Instagram post took some fire. Some people recognized it for what it was: humble bragging. When thin women whinge about the need to take off pounds, it's a form of fat-shaming. There was also some annoyance that a spiritual teacher is so focused on her body and being admired. Not only were these criticisms pounded by tealers, teal, herself, stooped to conquer. Predictably, she deflected the criticism by flipping the responsibility back on her critics.

The party line, as ever, is that teal is very brave by showing herself as a mere mortal, rather than only showing her "spiritual" side. So, here's my question: Where are the pictures of teal looking like crap? You can't tell me that teal doesn't have a bad hair day, that she never looks like a slob, that there isn't a single bad picture of her. The only ones we see, even of her exercising, are glamorous, and, I'm told by a professional photographer, photoshopped to perfection. How "authentic" is it, that her everyday photos all show her to her advantage? Why does she look "hot" in all her photos? She may be willing to show her "shadow" side, but never from a bad angle.

    1. Isn't one meaning of the word 'glamour' a magic spell to cover the truth with the false?

      Delete
    2. From what I see, she's perpetuating the same stereotypes that we see everywhere... That's hardly radical. I see a conflict between her message and her practice- being 'human' is no excuse for blatantly contradicting your own message and actually perpetuating a *disempowering* message that makes people feel worse. Way to go, spiritual leader!

      Delete
    3. Yup. A glamour is an enchantment, a spell that makes something mesmerizingly beautiful. And, in a sense, that's still what it means, only in a society without magic. Glamour is artificial beauty: heavy makeup, sequins, special lighting, a little belladonna to dilate the pupils. It's lovely as art, but no one really looks like that.

      Delete
    4. That's a good way to think about it. I have noticed that Teal is always angled very strategically so she looks at her 'best angle'. And she's always posed with make-up. I wonder what the deal it is with that? It's like she's eternally modelling even in 'candid shots' (although she's obviously not good if she only gives bedroom eyes). What happens to authenticity when there is always a glamour shield you can't pierce through and that you're always rubbing against? Hmm questions.

      Delete
    5. Maybe Teal didn't quite cotton on to the idea yet that if she put out photos of herself caught off guard or looking dishevelled they could be quite edgy and 'real' – useful for her future paradigm-shifting 'authenticity movement'. But give her a chance. She'll get there.

      Delete
    6. Her teachings become endless excuses for everything she personally prefers and validates it as an objective the society must aspire to, Make-up and projection would become 'self-love', knowing her teachings dont work for her, but needing to promote them to reach a larger audience and fame turns into 'authenticity', 'shadow side'. Basically we could all justify just about anything with that thought process.
With all her 'vibrational diagnoses' , she basically justifies her opinion, dressed in the 'universal knowing angle'. After all what we percieve is all based on personal associations and distortions?

Her authenticity is a cover for all the contradictions, a blanket excuse to continue life without having to deal with criticism or have discrepancies pointed out, because after all, this 'spiritual career' is a means to an end for her, once she is 'rich and powerful and influential' she is going to tackle the world as she really wants.

I think she gets her inspiration from Kardashians. Its my 'vibrational diagnosis'. :P

    7. Exactly. No different from other wannabe celebs on YouTube or Instagram. Totally valid. At least, so it seems. Whoever nowadays says they're into 'New Age'? She's at least 20 years out of date. No-one cares about 'New Age'. Maybe in Utah. It's irrelevant. It's marketing bullshit gone wrong.

  11. Credit where credit is due. On her most recent Ask Teal, she has actually cited some sources. Byron Katie's "The Work" is one of the few sources she's cited previously, but here she's actually listed them as part of the copy for the video and named names in the text. I haven't listened to or read either, so I can't speak to anything beyond that. But, it's a step in the right direction.

  14. Please note that Ale Gicqueau added the pictures which were posted on the 8th oct 2015 (made public) to the folder called "26. September 2013". This should solve at least some of the confusion.

Ale (https://sites.google.com/a/clinovo.net/soulretrieval/about) can be seen here on the 4th Nov 2014 21:13:32 with Teal Swan and Sarbdeep Swan who were still married at this point. It appears that Sarbdeep Swan was still in good spirits and not annoyed at all by the outrages wishes and self importance of his wife Teal Swan in november 2014.

    https://1001e49f-a-23434df2-s-sites.googlegroups.com/a/clinovo.net/soulretrieval/main-teachers-1/teal.jpg?attachauth=ANoY7cp6CzVIe2Fr-jVGugy-OOX7qNc8vxIQpbzg1l6fM6BUUTLUUjlOPo8cs5b4i7DGk3MgTHTNwm5e1DaXeGLlurCTXWeRxm1qsGRIuPp1zjuRH1dnxr4ktd6_Z6UqTSfYaXSqkA4ttPsKtt-ECTERfagZ217-0mp0T9bKM7XVh3m0rWJjpFuzZG7Tu9jv91K4TjssgcVsZYxFqTg7V3tpaZpTbzwJ18Opri5mAdlrvOiuyXdwQ3M%3D&attredirects=0

Sarbdeep Swan certainly didn't know that Mr. Gicqueau had written a love letter to his wife Teal Swan few years ago (whilst still being married). Mr. Gicqueau befriended them and met them few times as a good Tealer and friend of the Swans. He even got some one-on-one time with Ms. Swan. We ignore the flirtatious behavior of married Teal Swan. We also ignore the tremendous delight of Mr. Gicqueau, being one step closer to the woman of his dreams whilst still being married to Ms Gicqueau.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-GbptWr5_c

It is unknown if Sarbdeep Swan already had left Teal behind when this interview was recorded or if he was still under the spell of Mary-me-I-want-your-name-and-a-bodyguard-cause-I-am-a-celebrity-like-Madonna.

To this point it is still unknown if Teal Swan - soon to be Teal Swan Gicqueau - invests into the relationship with love drunk Mr. Gicqueau because he is loaded or because she cant stand being alone and single or because he offers fantastic connection

I sincerely wish Mr. Gicqueau the best. I can see nothing but love, devotion, adoration and spell-bound eyes as a fan and lover of the Spiritual Catalyst. Same can't be said of Teal Swan who appears not too passionate about THIS BIG LOVE but rather delighted about the business opportunities, the social platforms, the wealth and the perfect fan-lover, cunning as she is. The instagram images tell tales - her face and gestures give it all away.

It is unknown what the future will bring for both of them.

All I know is that she is playing all of us, including part, present and future husbands as her desire for x is unlimited and she will do everything in order to get there.

I would like to send out a warning to some Teal followers who might come across this blog and comment section.

Altered authenticity, which can be observed in Teal's behavior is not authenticity. A person who can bend each thought so that it fits his or her agenda is not authentic. Her *movement* should be called liar-movement but not authenticity-movement.
She is playing with ye guys.
    Please step back and observe.

    2. I am sad for Ale. He seems so naive, a gentle soul falling for the wrong people who use and dominate him. I hope he enjoys what is happening for him right now as something that is temporary, or he will get really hurt, and his career, reputation and children are in the middle of this. I have seen his chart and Pluto opposing Venus by transit usually appears as unrequited love, or more like an unrequited obsession, and it is not only logical when all the facts are laid out about this relationship, but it is also evident in their public interactions/photos.

Teal has no interest in docile men, she enjoys trying to tame a man, but she doesn't know when to stop tearing at that which nurtures her, so a wonderful, intelligent man like Sarbdeep will eventually get fed up and run for the hills. The rest of them sort of pile up as servants. It is no big puzzle that deep down she's cashing in on this opportunity.

Teal has Pluto approaching her DC, so that will be interesting to see. There will probably be a difficult divorce in place. True colours will shine through.

Honestly, I have seen, like most here, the cracks in that shiny sheet of glass presented as The Spiritual Catalyst, and been quite disappointed. But what gives. Just shows that we don't need to be told how to live by anyone, especially someone leading such a strange and messed up life. But simply use our common sense and heart, with a big dose of intuition and voilà.

  17. Okay so I found out that the title 'Giggling guru' was given to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the one who taught Transcendental meditation. Apparently Teal had to be exalted to that level. Do watch this video if you can ignore the accent, i suppose Teal has taken up the job of introducing the 'Eastern' vedic understanding, and dispersing it to the ones who are ignorant of it , in the West. The completion process is a direct rip off from Nityananda's satsang which infact is based on Upanishads.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGpXhqpJvGc

Recently Teal said her work in the future would be in places that need it the most like 'India and China' in one of her recent 'interviews'. Her obsession with 'paramhansa' and ofcourse her claim of being 'Shirdi Sai Baba'. I am amazed at the amount of material she has claimed to be her own 'out of body info' when they can be traced to our own 'earthly akashic records' aka internet. Add an alien angle to it, and we have a hook!

What is more,it would seem he wasnt the only one, I found another lady who claims to be psychic, called Margo Abott who said her friends called her the 'giggling guru', so now thats her title and website name as well. Yet another man , Madan Kataria, was given this title by Times of London, a physician from India who prescribes laughing as a cure for all ailments.

So I guess Teal can certainly join the crowd, the title doesnt seem exclusive anymore lol.

    3. Interesting article. I knew the Beatles had broken from him, but I didn't know the deets. John Lennon is not really known to have been nice guy, kind of a prick actually, but I give him mad props for calling that out. One of the things that I always find most alarming is how much sexual abuse and harassment is tolerated in these contexts. So many of these guys are enabled. The women aren't believed, or even told they should be honored by the special attention. Joshu Sasaki's monks actually told women he'd molested that he was helping them by breaking down the overly strong female ego. I think that's my favorite to date.

To be fair, teal actually calls herself the "giggling guide." Typically she does this, takes someone else's ideas and tweaks or skews them just a little. Often she changes them just enough to make them not make sense or make them far worse than the originals, bordering on dangerous. My husband and I have theory, though, on the "giggling guide" moniker. We think it may have been adopted to spin her inability to suppress her weird laughter at inappropriate moments. It's something called "duping delight," the inability to not smile, smirk, or laugh, when selling bullshit. It's a tell with some con artists. I wrote it up here in one of the noncasts.

      Delete
    4. Yep Teal and her sycophant minions certainly 'tweak' and 'customise' her stolen projections. Her giggle is quite scary. And it comes up at odd times too, when there is nothing humorous or 'giggle-worthy'.I suppose she tries to buy time to chalk up her new bs for that moment, by giggling and distracting the engaged listener, then abruptly recovering herself to spew some more crap she just 'downloaded'.

Unfortunately almost every single 'guru' I have heard of, no matter how seemingly 'profound' the knowledge, they have been implicated in a sex scandal. In India this has become a bit of a cliche almost. In recent times , Asaram Bapu, Nityananda, even women 'gurus' like Radhe Maa, Amma Bhagavan, have been accused of sexual assaults and in some cases rape. Some(far-right wing) believe its the 'Christian missionaries' trying to discredit and dismantle the hindu institution of 'guru-shishya' (teacher-student) to convert people, but then again, women are so poorly represented and treated that this may just be yet another excuse to wriggle out of dealing with the 'inconvinience' of women rights and dignity.

"Joshu Sasaki's monks actually told women he'd molested that he was helping them by breaking down the overly strong female ego. " Ugh thats horrible!!

I see a direct connection with Teal potraying herself the way she does with I am sure what she studies deeply about these gurus. This concept of guru, involves some sort of 'liberation' if you associate and devote yourself fully (submit).
Have you seen MaNithyaSudevi's recent transformation? From being an 'arcturian' to becoming a 'brahmachari' and promoting her guru. There was a time where Teal and MaNithya were quite in competition for youtube popularity. Both 'Arcturians', both New age. Until Teal decided to continue using sexuality and hijacking and plagiarising other people's work, MaNithya contended with actually going to India and becoming a sanyaasi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNzkAqXgAPQ

    8. Namaste both of you,

I've been researching Teal for the past week or so after it came to my attention, also, that she blatantly stole Nithyananda's Completion Process. That interested me deeply since I am (or was) Ma Nithya Sudevi, now a brahmachari in Nithyananda Order, as you mentioned here. I think it may interest you to see how the "Tealers" are commenting on the newest video I made, in which I explain the Completion process, it's origin in Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, and it's re-release as per Swamiji's teaching a few years ago. (Re: a few years before she claimed to invent it.)

One thing that really bothers me about Teal is that she's giving such a bad name to so many things... I still identify with my Arcturian experiences of years gone by, and also still enjoy things like crystals and Tarot, though obviously not as much as I enjoy Hindu mysticism and life in the Adheenam, or I wouldn't have taken the vows... Somehow, by doing what she's doing, I feel Teal is going to basically cycle through a huge demographic of seekers, mind-f**k them all, then leave them beyond disillusioned and unable to accept any kind of spirituality again for the rest of their lives, even if it's something legitimate.

When I was a professional Tarot reader, I used to get the occasional client who had sworn never to get another reading, after getting a reading from a bad reader. We've all heard of those bad readers; LaVaughn mentions in one of these blogs that a good facilitator facilitates, listens, allows the client to go in, and doesn't just railroad a person into admitting a fault that may or may not be there. Bad readers are the same way; they don't actually have the intuition or technique a genuine mystic has, but they fake it, and when the client sees through the charade, they get mad and make silly statements like, "you'll see I'm right," or "even if you don't see it, this is happening." They make the rest of their profession look bad.

Teal is like that bad reader on a public platform, with a disturbing number of followers who hear her say, "even if you don't see it, it's happening," and reply, "yes, you must be right. How silly of me to have thought I knew myself."

It saddened me to hear some of the Cameron interview videos, because the two women both clearly set out as seekers at one point in time, and now, after seeing how the wrong kind of teacher can send a person deep into the pit of 'worse than before,' they've sworn off all spirituality, period.

I can also see how Teal's devotees are willing to literally swallow any lie she feeds them, and thump down anyone who questions her lies. For about a week straight, my facebook wall and YouTube inbox were flooded with hate mail and "how can you call yourself spiritual and question Teal" comments from them. Then a few days ago, I found their "mute" button: I wrote an open letter to Teal and posted it on facebook, inviting her to discuss the following things with me on camera:

      - Plagiarism
      - The karmic consequences of suicide
      - The karmic consequences of teaching spirituality
      - What enlightenment actually is
      - What's expected of an enlightened master

I stated that I'm available and ready to talk this out with her, and asked for a reply.

And now it's like tumble weed is blowing by, not a single one of her flying monkeys (I've been enjoying your posts...) has swooped anywhere near that post!

Is she actually scared of what I'd have to say?

I saw the theme in your posts, also, LaVaughn, that Teal will evade and evoid ever answering to criticism... But at some point, won't even her most ardent defenders ask her why she won't respond to even a single allegation brought against her?

    9. Also, just for the record, Swamiji is not and never has been a rapist or in any other way sexual. He took sannyas as a child, and has lived a brahmachari life all along. The first scandal was the creation of Sun TV, and the executive who tried to extort money from Swamiji's organization had done similar things to politicians and celebrities; in India, though it sounds like an easy out for people to say "the media made it up," the media often really does make things up. Also, there truly is a politically charged social climate in which Christian-owned media corporations defame and discredit Hindu gurus. They've gone so far as to run ads offering to pay "victims" of Swamiji to come forward and testify. For 3 years straight, there was a website dedicated just to that: asking Swamiji rape victims to come forward. They offered to pay and take him to court. In 3 years, not a single victim came forward, because not a single victim exists. Literally the only time someone has ever accused him of rape, it was a woman called Arti Rao, and her story is so full of holes I think I might start calling her Arti Swan... She claims Swamiji raped her more than 50 times over the course of a few years, but the dates she gives don't add up; on some of the supposed rape dates, she was in the US, and on others, He was in the Himalayas. Also, she has some highly contageous STDs that He doesn't, and medical records show she has had them for years prior to knowing Swamiji. She was found guilty of false accusation in a counter suit, but of course, the media didn't cover that...

    10. Namaste, Ma Nithya Swaroopapriyananda.

I enjoyed your video tremendously. We've been discussing it further down the page, in comments. Your insights into teal's methods are right on point and I've been enjoying a great deal of your commentary. You're articulating beautifully a number of the concerns I've had for some time as to the way she operates and the danger her methods pose to her followers.

You're absolutely right that it's not just that plagiarizes, but that she offers truncated versions of better teachings. Her "teachings" are, not only far less helpful, but, in some cases dangerous.

In this post here, I shared screenshots of my attempt to do one of her online processes. Very disturbing. It doesn't allow you to have your own experience, but forces you to believe that you hate your parents, are in denial about hating your parents, and need to more actively hate your parents because they did you horribly wrong. She doesn't facilitate healing or presence. She pushes you into some version of her own personal hell. This is very dangerous for vulnerable people. Very, very dangerous. When I think about her using these kinds of pushing techniques as part of a codified process, certifying people in it, I just shudder.

Thank-you so much for speaking out so clearly on this and for not backing down to her attack dogs. It can get crazy. I've been on the receiving end of a lot of it. But, some things just need to be said. Thank-you so much for saying them.

      Delete
    11. Namaste again LaVaughn,

Thank YOU so much for this! The time and dedication you've put into exposing Teal's many bouts of plagiarism is astounding, and I'm wondering: have you ever emailed your findings to the authors from whom she has stolen? All of us in the Nithyananda Sangha were shocked by her "Completion Process," and though normally it's Swamiji's policy to leave things like this alone (since truth is universal) this case was special, because we could all see how damaging her methods are to seekers, and how badly she's misrepresenting Completion. (Mainly because Completion should only be taught by someone who is Complete, but also because she is patenting the term by publishing a book about it...)

There was one incident a few years ago in which Swamiji was accused of plagiarizing by a group called Landmark who claimed he had stolen the words Authenticity, Integrity, Responsibility and Enriching. (Which, interestingly, Teal has started using as well...) Within 24 hours of their claim against his work, Swamiji gathered the support of over 30 other Hindu teachers who use these same exact words, in the same way he uses them, since they are directly translated from the Upanishads. When these other Hindu leaders, from various sampradayas, wrote to Landmark, Landmark responded by essentially begging them not to take the case to court, since it became clear that their founder had stolen, then patented, Vedic teachings without crediting his source...

The reason I think this is worth mentioning here is that when someone is accused of plagiarism, there IS a right way to handle it: provide evidence that it's not actually plagiarized. Since Swamiji was innocent, Landmark retracted their accusation; anyone who is innocent can clear their name of accusations if they simply face the accusations and provide the proof of their legitimate sources. So if Teal didn't plagiarize, why doesn't she do the same?

I think the work you're doing is fantastic, and I applaud you for exposing Teal the way you do, without losing focus on your "real" role in the world: sharing genuine spirituality. I've discovered just how time consuming it can become to present information about Teal, and found myself almost addicted to replying to her "Tealers" these past few days... You make a great example of balance in this.

I really enjoyed the blog post you linked for me here, regarding what should actually be called the "blame your parents" process. NOW I understand some of the retaliation I had from viewers a few months back when I mentioned in a video how loving and supportive my mother has always been, and how I feel blessed to have been raised by her. MANY commented on that with things like, "Some teachers aren't strong enough to handle toxic family situations; you got what you were ready for," or, "Why are you shaming people who don't have good parents?" or even, "Why don't you dig deeper into your mother's role and see where she has triggered you instead of just focusing on what you want her to be?" At that time,I didn't know where any of that was coming from, and it felt a bit like being in the Twilight Zone. I shared my gratitude to my mom in a video, and people took offense to that, lol... (I'd link it but I honestly don't remember which video that was anymore.) Now I get it: Teal and I have many of the same viewers, and in Teal's world, whatever she has experienced is noble and the best, and whatever anyone else has experienced is lesser. Hence, I got a good and loving mother because I couldn't have handled anything more challenging. (I wonder what her Tealers would say if I told them that a panel of Arcturian beings had created for me a perfect mother since my life's mission depended on having a parent support me? But of course, I only share real experiences, and would never try to create a self-aggrandizing back-story just to justify things about myself that others don't approve...)

    12. Another time, her army attacked in full force when I made a video about the Law of Attraction. Basically, I called out the BS presented in books like The Secret, saying that dream boards and constantly reminding ourselves of what we want won't do anything, since they only reinforce our desire to have, and that ultimately, the spiritual quest is to go beyond wanting things, not to get the things we want. I pointed out that even if someone masters manifesting, they will eventually have to face the fact that no matter how much stuff they accumulate, stuff will never fill the inner void. At that time, I didn't know anything about Teal's teachings because, despite years of being compared to her, I could never bring myself to watch more than a few seconds of her videos since, to be honest, she creeps me out and annoys me at the same time. So, you can imagine my surprise when that video's comment section became a dumping ground for hate-speech and Teal Apologetics. Naively, at that time, I deleted the hateful comments, (anything with the f word or sexual insults, which is to say, pretty much every comment defending Teal.) That experience set off an alarm bell, but not enough of an alarm bell to compel me to actually learn what Teal teaches about attraction... Now, in hindsight, I wish I had kept all of the Tealer comments, because they serve as great proof of how warped these people are becoming. (Also, somehow, that video coasted mainly under their radar, because it's not as heavily disliked as my new one is, and eventually their comments stopped.)

So this time around, I'm not deleting any of the comments on this video about her, since they really are fascinating, if only for the value of studying the effect this woman has on her followers.

If you're interested, please check out the posts on my facebook wall from these last 2 weeks:

      https://www.facebook.com/ma.nithya.sudevi

I would love your take on the phenomemon there. For the first few posts, Tealers attacked round the clock, and there was even a comment or two from Blake, (who has been a facebook friend of mine for years, though I didn't know he was connected to Teal since I've never, till now, bothered to learn about her,) and also a man named Gabriel. (Gabriel, interestingly enough, once made a video called "Why I Disagree with Ma Nithya Sudevi." In a conversation thread under my facebook post, though, I mention that in Teal's pity party of a reply to my allegations, she doesn't actually address the plagiarism, but merely how it makes her feel to be called a plagiarist, no wait, to be "attacked." Gabriel actually agrees that this is not helpful, and says he wishes she would actually answer her critics for once, as it may clear things up. While I don't think it would clear anything up, since she doesn't actually have a defense, I do think it's interesting to note that even her biggest supporters are struggling with her refusal to face the obvious.)

Anyhow, what I find amazing is that for 3 consecutive posts, her army was in full attack mode, and then suddenly, the moment I posted my assessment of the situation, inviting Teal into a one on one on-camera debate, they all disappeared! Of course, they're still attacking me (can I say "attacking me" without sounding like Teal? I'm not trying to get pity about this, but one of her fans actually commented that my p***y must smell like curry, which is not only disgusting, highly inappropriate and insulting to the tradition of Hindu abstinence, it's also- much like Teal herself- verging on racist...) I think I made a compelling case that any spiritual teacher (real or fake) would be hard pressed to ignore, and I'm really actually a bit disappointed that they're not responding now that I've actually opened the door for discussion with her.

    14. Hello, I'm curious,Swaroopapriyananda Ma Nithya, did you write to Hay house publishing? At some point the evidence stacked against her, and her 'brand of spirituality' will definitely make the most blinded of followers to confront it.

I dont think she would engage in any discussion that could possibly harm her 'outer image'. She needs that image to sustain, till she no longer needs her 'fans' to be recognised. Teal's ambitions make her a very dangerous source to align with for spiritual upliftment, especially when she calls spirituality her 'career'. I am constantly reminded of Jim Jones. Cameron's testimony was an eye-opener. Teal has no 'extra sensory abilities'. I also thin the 'Arcturian' angle was 'stolen' or fabricated (You made a video in 2011 I presume? She probably used this angle first in 2013 in Nova Zem interview, by which time she had already tested the waters as to how gullible people can be and how she could stretch her validity by using certain associations for shaping her desired image)

Teal has criticised many demographics, en masse, and apparently her minions have no issues with it, (because she can 'see' vibrations) when all she is really doing is using her emotional biases to project onto an entire race/country etc. So much for teaching of'oneness'??? You are absolutely right, its off-putting. Peple traumatised by spiritual/religious groups often go to the other extreme and harden themselves so as not to be vulnerable to shams again. Skepticism becomes a defense mechanism. I too have wavered in my position relative to these subjects. Teal's life is messy and the followers she attracts are also the ones with similar wounds (parental issues, suicidal, depressed, in pain). This creates a sort of 'family' which they protect fiercely like most 'tribes' do. Its a group think, a hive mind. Teal is the one orchestrating it, (Sort of reminds me of the TV series 'V' about reptilian aliens, where they had a queen who influenced all her fellow reptiles)

I most pity her son. A child dealing with a sick mother, in the formative years. I shudder to think what He will have to say as he grows out of that context. As Cameron pointed out she is very neglectful and focussed on herself and the child too believes his mother needs taking care of.

The more I watch the Teal drama unfold the more I feel grateful for the life I have. Thankyou LaVaughn for being a voice of reason, and for not bowing down when the 'flying monkeys' tried to silence you. It was the foundation for the entire case against her which is piling on and gaining momentum. Its a good lesson for us all to learn 'discernment'.

    15. Ma Nithya Swaroopapriyananda, Landmark Forum tried to enforce copyright of "Authenticity, Integrity, Responsibility and Enriching." Now that's funny! Landmark, if you don't know it, is the new EST. They own the copyright to Werner Erhard's body of work. EST was famous for not letting people go to the bathroom. Landmark is EST with unregulated bathroom breaks, I believe – a kinder, gentler EST. I guess teal should be on notice about poaching anything from Landmark. They sound very litigious.

What teal does, in terms of intellectual property theft, is like nothing I've ever seen. I knew she was using other people's ideas – even mine, on at least one occasion – but I really didn't grasp the sheer audacity of it until I sat and went through this material line by line, and highlighted the verbiage. It was painstaking, but very illuminating. I have not contacted any of these folks, but I know that other people have, because they've told me so. I think it's only a matter of time before someone brings a copyright claim against her.

Yes, there is some universality to these concepts and duplication is inevitable, but when exact terminology and phrasing come up again and again, we're in a whole different territory. Many people have called her out for sounding way too much like Abraham-Hicks, but she keeps wiggling out of that one. I noticed in one of the comments on your video that one of her defenses is that they both come from the same Adonai soul group or something. Okay. Sure.

What I have found astounding from the outset is how many of her followers are impressed by the fact that teal DOESN'T claim any sources for her ideas. She just "knows." I see things very differently. I want to know what training a teacher had, and it better not be from someone they claimed was a Mormon Satanist abuser, with a side interest in quantum physics. I want to know what my teachers have read and how they've learned. I want to see some sort of lineage, tradition, something! But, people have teal on a pedestal because she claims to have observed an ant when she was chained in a pit. She claims to be enlightened because she somehow experienced a scene from Being John Malkovich. It's just so strange to me.

I have been following some of the fallout on your video and FB page. I saw Gabriel Kayo Kundalini Morris's comments. *sigh* I don't think her followers are stupid people. I think they show hallmark traits of cult conditioning. They're struggling with cognitive dissonance and lashing out at anyone who triggers that inner conflict. And, I've seen over and over how teal whips them up into a frenzy to protect the damsel in distress that is she.

    16. She will not respond to you directly. She will not debate you. I saw the one comment from Blake on your timeline. He won't really engage either, though. Ask him a hard question and he won't be heard from again. He commented on my blog once. I invited him to clarify some things. He never responded. When the shaman Jordan Lavigne tried to engage teal about the dark entities he sees operating through her, she just complained that talking to him was a waste of her valuable time and refused to engage the issue anywhere but in the safe, enclosed turf of Teal Tribe. She won't debate anyone unless she thinks she has the upper hand and can intimidate them.

It's all fear and intimidation with her, no room for higher reasoning. All disagreement is a challenge to her ego and she and her followers go straight into an ego threat reaction. I saw where her followers were calling you a jelly hater. They did the same thing to me, apparently oblivious to how sexist it is to reduce any disagreement between women to some junior high girl fight. I got a lot of, Now, girls, you're both pretty.

My concerns about teal are real and they're substantive, as, clearly, are yours. I find it galling when people reduce concerns about things like abuse of spiritual authority, lack of professional ethics, theft of intellectual property, and espousal of suicide as a solution, to so much petty squabbling and jealousy.

Darkly comic, btw, that her followers challenged you on daring to speak highly of your mother. That's just crazy and leaves me more concerned than ever at the shadow projection teal encourages against parents. Some people have been horribly abused by their parents and that's a tragedy and victims of child abuse need a lot of support. But, what teal calls child abuse isn't. One of the scariest things she does is equate every minute discomfort with trauma. She's gone on and on about how she was traumatized by being encouraged to get her own juice when she was a toddler. It's simultaneously comical and terrifying, because she's convincing a lot of people from very average circumstances that their parents have ruined their lives. She keeps people in a perpetual state of drama and emotional distress. This kind of thing can break people down psychologically and make them very vulnerable.

I also agree with you about LOA and The Secret. I've been speaking out against that bit of ego pandering for years. Her espousal of LOA is, rather ironically, the least disturbing about teal's work, though. I think LOA is a cheap, reductive, and ineffectual. I think what teal is doing is, um, terrifying.

Thanks, again, for reaching out and for speaking truth to abused power.

      Namaste

    19. I wrote a long comment in a separate TextEdit document expressing my thoughts/feelings regarding Teal's teachings only to realize (after reading the comments on here) that everything I had to say has already been said (and been said better) by everyone here. LOL, Hope no one minds if I share anyway...

I really feel like Teal's teachings/personal blog posts are damaging. Maybe not to the average person who tunes in occasionally, but to the vulnerable/broken/unstable individual (which she seems to attract A LOT of), they do more harm than good. She markets herself as a relatable, "revolutionary" spiritual healer that embraces her shadow side (which, I believe we should embrace), but Teal seems to *dwell* in her shadow. Anything and everything to her is a trigger of an unhealed emotional aspect of herself, she even goes so far as letting OTHERS know when they're "being triggered." (Which, I can't roll my eyes hard enough when she does that, but I digress.) I do understand that people *genuinely* get triggered due to *genuine* emotional traumas, but to go around all day identifying any negative emotion you feel as a trigger of something deeper is just unhealthy. We are each individuals with different opinions, different ways of looking at things, different values, different ideas, personalities, etc., so it's only natural that disagreements and moments where we feel upset, irritated, frustrated, doubtful, disappointed, etc. will arise in our daily interactions with each other since no two people are exactly alike. I feel like by her sharing her "triggers" so freely she's conditioning her followers to adopt a "triggered" mindset, which, to the fragile mind (95% of her audience), identifying any/every negative emotion that arises as a "trigger" of an unhealed emotional trauma can cause a lot of psychological damage. It's in no way healing as it only puts them on a loop to nowhere. I couldn't believe my eyes reading comments on Ma's video accusing her of being TRIGGERED, jealous, threatened, and insecure because she was pointing out the truth. Like, WTF even? Can you imagine in a professional workplace a person accusing their work colleagues of being "triggered" because they critiqued their work or communicated (constructive) criticism to them? LMAO.

Re: her "completion process" book... I wasn't even aware that Teal was coming out with a new book. First of all, what grounds does SHE have writing a book on a "completion process" when her life is a total train wreck?! She's made no progress in healing her own life as evidenced by the drama/negativity/triggers that she continues to divulge on her personal blog. It's insane to me that she thinks she has any sort of authority or basis for teaching a completion process to others. If Hay House publishes this book all their credibility is thrown out the window (for me, at least).

    20. Hay House agreements are done between Men and Teal which are easily tricked by this highly manipulative individual. Since when does your future publisher (Hay House Australia) touches your knee on the first meeting. You get my point. He is already in the web.

      https://www.instagram.com/p/BA3ChFkvcFf/?taken-by=tealspiritualcatalyst

Although ole Sarbdeep was present at the meeting with Tracy (CEO), that doesn't stop Teal to play her games. With Teal it is all about sexual interactions in the mind. She is a teasing flirt bomb and only few can resist.

Hay House is a business and Teal Scotts business is heavily based on online activitiy because of Blake. That's why she is growing so fast and Hay House sees numbers. If the application process with Hay House would have been professional, they would have checked her claims, records and doc interview with Cameron in the first place because people can sue the S''''''t out of them if they get distress from reading and following TS material. So I am very surprised how exactly she made it into Hay House. I guess with her sexual flirt energy and her impressive online follower numbers.

In case Hay House is to publish the new book and they miss to change the name of the process, all hell will break loose. I don't see how Teal is getting out of this one but then again: she has her ways which I can't even think of right now.

    21. Oh my god... that photo... Says it all right there, doesn't it. I feel a little sick.

They did finally meet their tealfilm goal. It was recent and it was the biggest jump in donations yet. Giant chunk. As I mentioned somewhere else on this page, the donations have been almost completely flat, except for these big dumps – of 1k, 2k, 5k – and going by their FB page, these are almost all anonymous donations. This last jump was huge and anonymous. It also came when teal was, you know, under "attack" and very, um, "triggered." I expect Ale was also very upset because he just lost almost all custody rights to his children just because he left his wife for a cult leader (teal's words, not mine). A man in such a state might, hypothetically, feel the need to take an action affirming his devotion to his cult leader mistress, thereby quelling any cognitive dissonance created by the horrible consequences of his life-altering decisions.

That doco has been pushed back several times, by all appearances because they weren't meeting their financial goal. It was originally timed to come out around the time of her last book. That didn't happen. It was pushed back to late last year, then to early this year, with bonus footage to be sent to donors last year. Now it's all been pushed back again to late this year, which will correlate roughly with the release of this next book – should Hay House not determine it to be plagiarized and grow concerned about their already substantial legal exposure.

I, for one, am looking forward to this documentary. We've already learned that the completed one can't plug in her own appliances and that she broke the law by putting a false address on her driver's license. Who knows what wonders will be in the final product?

    23. Namaste,

I've read and agree with everything you've all said here; also, I'm wondering: does anyone else feel like her life is more a sickly fascinating disaster, like a dark soap opera, or reality television? I came after Teal for being a plagiarist, but didn't realize when I pulled on that loose thread that the entire sweater would unravel... It makes me feel kind of disappointed to realize you're right, LaVaughn: Teal will most certainly never, ever debate me. (Or anyone else by whom she feels threatened.)

My vision for how the debate would go down, though, if it ever went down, looks something like that scene in the movie Girl, Interrupted, in which the character Lisa, played by Angelina Jolie, finally gets a taste of her own medicine. Actually, when I first watched one of Teal's stage sessions a few days ago, after about a minute, I was wondering who she reminded me of... the too-cool body language, impatience, convincing delivery of pure bullshit, arrogant assumptions about other people's diagnoses... I felt like I had seen it somewhere before. And then it hit me: Teal is a real life version of that crazy ring leader in a movie about institutionalized young women. That character also drove a girl to suicide, took pleasure in lying about her past to sound greater than she was, slept around a lot, was racist, and would pick people apart to humiliate them publicly.

Anyhow, in one scene, after she basically gives a Tealesque pseudo-psychological shadow session to everyone around her, she bitches that nobody can ever give her what she gives others. Then the sanest of the other girls steps up and just serves it up, point by point, laying bare her every inner fear, tension and perversion before her. It's too much for her and she just collapses; her whole charade of knowing everything crumbles and the girls who were all under her spell see the sad, shallow, frightened girl hiding behind all the hype.

If any of her lackeys read this, definitely, my chances at debate will be gone forever...

    24. That picture says so much. It's not just a snap of them innocently leaning in to take a picture together, he literally has his whole hand placed on her bare leg. How is this appropriate?! So unprofessional on so many levels. :/

On another note, did y'all read Teal's response to being called out on her plagiarism?

      https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153574006958882&set=p.10153574006958882&type=3&theater

I don't know whose Facebook page or what post these comments were on (or the date they were posted) for reference, but it's interesting to note how differently a complete person (Swamiji) reacts to accusations against him (re: Ma Nithya Swarupapriyananda comments above) and how an incomplete person (Teal) reacts to accusations against her:

"I can't read this periodical because it effects me too much to read articles from people who hate me and slander.

      ......

I can understand how this kind of thing throws you off your rocker... honestly, it does the same thing to me, so I can't expect more of you than I expect of myself."

She's so fragile that she can't even entertain a thought or opinion that is anything but praising her? Wow. Her response is so telling of just how fragmented and hurt (incomplete) she is on the inside that she can't even bear to read anything negative about her work. It's bad enough that an egomaniac like her even positions herself as a spiritual teacher in the first place, now she thinks she has the wisdom/authority to guide people in a healing COMPLETION process?! What a joke... and so disturbing that practitioners of this process actually exist, when it's obvious that her version is ineffective and/or potentially damaging. People only have to look at TEAL to see that.

How funny that at this point she doesn't even really need people calling her out on her bullshit, she's doing a fine job of displaying to everyone what a charlatan she is through her very own emotionally-immature reactions. I, too, am looking forward to the documentary--it's amusing how much she reveals without even considering the consequences. Lol. Does she not think that people will see/point out her inconsistencies and contradictions? The consequences of her attention-seeking need to divulge everything about her life- excuse me, I mean her revolutionary "openness"- is gonna be the thing that discredits her the most as a spiritual "healer."

    25. It is very typical behavoir of her.

      1. Let others do the research work
      2. Let others find the reasons for her 'innocence'
      3. Let others 'protect her and fight for her'

All facilitators who are brainwashed with a fancy looking certificate that certifies the complete completion of the completion process as a new completion process facilitator (ha) invented by Teal Swan will ovboiously be very motivated to protect this completion process as they try to make a living from it in future. So she gives the files over to these guys. Poor lads. Now go fight for your bread and butter.

Swaroopapriyananda Ma Nithya: I see the same similarities and I agree with you and LaVaughn. She will never face you because she knows that she can't wrap you around her little finger. This is were all her debating always ends. She either doesn't face you or she faces you and claims that there is no base for a discussion because you already made up your mind. Two very successful strategies of the past. I think it will only lead somewhere if your organisation actually takes legal action in regards to Hay House. How this might look like I don't know but this is the only way. Teal you are better of renaming your process and forget about the trademark money you already invested. Although you explained that your process is very different there is something like hitchhiking a well established title and name. The same happened to Craig in regards to his very successful EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Healing methode. SB else came along and sells a new Process which is called Faster EFT (Emotionally Focused Transformations). He confused a lot of EFT students by using the same name and by suggesting that it is faster, misleading a lot of people. I know that when you tried to trademark the Completion Process that you did your research and were fully aware of this well known already existing Completion Process. I wonder what you were thinking ( ; Google Princess. As SB who has a desire to invent things, you would also have the desire to have a very unique never used name. What was the purpose to use the same name 'QUESTIONMARK'

I feel that they are all very genuine souls and experience to be part of something bigger then them led by Scott. I pick up beautiful intentions, great discipline and deep rooted Teal devotion of them. I see great passion and desire to help and heal the world.

I wish them nothing but the best although I highly disagree with the approach of their chosen teacher Teal. I just hope they know how much experience, true knowledge and realization it takes to g u i d e other beings though their dark trauma to actually resolve anything at the root and not just the session surface. I personally have so much respect of the reality of trauma that I could never be prepared or certified in handling the unique structure which is behind each trauma. A 20 step program taught by Scott in a short period of time will never prepare for the complexity of typical and uncommon traumas on this plane.

I know and feel that they are convinced of the power of this program by Scott as they have experienced it themselves. There will come easy cases and I am sure it will benefit the clients in some way. However - there will come this client(s) who is loaded trauma and this is when the process will collapse and create the result of the absence of knowledge, experience, insight and wisdom. Scott is irresponsible for giving genuine souls the feeling they can transform all kinds of traumas of others. I just feel that they are not prepared for the deep dark shit which is going on in the human souls. It is foolish to feel confident to heal trauma after a 1 week training course. Dear practitioners … please be careful.

    28. Hi again,

Thanks for the links; I didn't realize Teal had "replied." First thing... which periodical is she talking about? Is there also some kind of regularly released magazine exposing her? Or is she referring to my invitation to debate, without actually knowing the difference between a facebook status and a print publication?

Second, which word, exactly, do you think she looked up in her thesaurus while supposedly trying to figure out what to name the Completion Process? Why didn't she just call it the "(__whatever word she looked up__) Process?" And seriously, what kind of divinely-attuned catalyst for change uses a thesaurus to name the supposedly channeled processes they develop for humanity? Wouldn't it have just come to her? (Obviously, I don't believe there ever was a thesaurus search, I think it was more like a YouTube search, and Swamiji's video gave her the title and gist of the technique, both.)

As for telling her certified practitioners to do her research for her... yikes. If someone accused me of plagiarism, I wouldn't waste a moment avoiding the confrontation, or tell someone else to find out the facts for me; I'd get on it immediately and clear things up! She's just sinking lower and lower... Especially refusing to have a face to face discussion. I neither hate her nor feel rigidly stuck in any emotion whatsoever; who knows? A chat might clear some of these issues... but if she's not willing to talk, it only reflects that she's afraid of being exposed.

Last thing I'll say before shaking my head and getting back to other things: by definition, Completion makes it so that one cannot be "thrown off their rocker." Again, I'll use Swamiji as the example: media attacks him all the time, printing lies, making accusations, but he never loses it. We should only learn from teachers who are unshakable, otherwise, and I can't stress this enough, they won't actually help us grow. Like Teal said, she can't expect anything more of her followers than she can of herself... which isn't much, obviously. Wouldn't we want a teacher who leads us by a great example instead of an insecure and unstable one?

    29. Hi Swaroopapriyananda Ma Nithya,

To help with your first question. I'm pretty sure the periodical Teal Swan is referring to is a start-up publication called "Ethics and The Modern Guru", in the 2nd issue they investigated and wrote about Swan. I'm not sure what all the contents are/were as I have never seen a complete copy and the first version of that issue may even have even been withdrawn from sale. I think there is/was an interview with two morticians who both refuted as impossible Swan's claim that she was sewn inside a corpse.

Also there is/was an interview with Swan's alleged abuser ('Doc') which can be read online here http://thetruthaboutcameron.blogspot.co.uk/

This may be of use to you or raise more questions(!)

    32. Hi Folks,

I apologize for my extended silence. I'm having spot outages on my internet and Blogger is one of the sites that keeps going down for me.

Along those lines, Ma Nithya Swaroopapriyananda, a comment you posted the other day made it into my email, but did not post on this page. Not really sure what happened there, or if you meant to cancel it, but I have the text, if you would like to repost it.

Gaby, the magazine was not pulled from Amazon, et al, because of any action by teal, not to my knowledge. I do know why it was pulled, but that's all I'm prepared to say. I think you're right, though. I think that is what teal meant by "periodical." While that's the only interpretation that makes sense, sense is not a thing I expect from teal, so you never really know. It could be a word she pulled from her thesaurus that does not mean what she thinks it means, as such things happen frequently.

The thesaurus, Ma Nithya Swaroopapriyananda, is one of teal's favorite tools. She bases an entire healing process on searches for synonyms and antonyms. I guess if you have zero facility with language, a thesaurus is a book of divine mystery.

    33. "How funny that at this point she doesn't even really need people calling her out on her bullshit, she's doing a fine job of displaying to everyone what a charlatan she is through her very own emotionally-immature reactions."

You'd think so, wouldn't you blairgilbert. After watching her machinations over the past couple of years, I've learned, to my horror, that this works for her, more than it does against her. Rikitikitavi is right. This whole thing comes straight out of her playbook. This is her playing her followers like a Stradivarius. Any questions or criticism and she goes straight to victim mode. She dog-whistles to her followers who go to work protecting and defending her. They descend on the offending blog post or video like so many winged monkeys. They send hateful emails, even death threats. Best case scenario, the critic is intimidated into silence – frequently, they're made to feel that they're being "unspiritual" by "attacking a spiritual leader." Her core followers are consolidated as part of the brave, revolutionary, tealer "us" against the dark, jealous, anti-teal "them."

Every time there's one of these eruptions, though, there are people who start to see what's happening here. There have been, for instance, flame wars followed by mass migrations from Teal Tribe. The core that's left, though, grow increasingly fanatical and devoted. And, the cycle continues.

Ma Nithya Swaroopapriyananda, you're so right. Lisa from Girl Interrupted is such an apt comparison. I haven't seen that movie in years. I should watch it again. One of my college friends had a small role in that film and was marvelous, as she always is. I'd forgotten about the racial slurs, something teal is famous for. But, it's the same thing. She controls everyone around her by taking their inventory. She does the same thing in workshops. She loves to tell people what's wrong with them, but you can't turn the spotlight back on her without her playing the victim role, again. She's always the victim. I know the Lisa character was diagnosed ASPD. She actually revels in being a diagnosed sociopath. I love this comment from Martha Stout in The Sociopath Next Door.

"After listening for almost twenty-five years to the stories my patients tell me about sociopaths who have invaded and injured their lives, when I am asked, 'How can I tell whom not to trust?' the answer I give usually surprises people. The natural expectation is that I will describe some sinister-sounding detail of behavior or snippet of body language or threatening use of language that is the subtle giveaway. Instead, I take people aback by assuring them that the tip-off is none of these things, for none of these things is reliably present. Rather, the best clue is, of all things, the pity play. The most reliable sign, the most universal behavior of unscrupulous people is not directed, as one might imagine, at our fearfulness. It is, perversely, an appeal to our sympathy."

As for Teal... wow, this just gets crazier and crazier; I can't even believe the crap this woman says.

I'll try to write a bit more of an in depth answer to each of you soon, but in the meantime, just a heads up: I published a new video today, sort of addressing Teal. (Planning to do a more systematic expose soon, but in the meantime, this is more answering the question of "how can you call yourself spiritual but question another spiritual person? 39. What follows is the text from Ma Nithya's lost comment, which appeared in my email, but not here. FWIW, I think it's very likely that teal has borrowed, um, heavily, in this case.

Swaroopapriyananda Ma Nithya has left a new comment on your post "Fullmetal Plagiarist – UPDATED":

      Namaste Aiúa,

I haven't thought of writing to Hay House, but that's a great idea. I also feel strongly that everyone whose work has been Stealed (or would that be "Tolen,") should take her to court.

I've wondered when Teal started telling people she's an Arcturian. Definitely, I shared my experience of first contact in one of my videos back in 2011.

This might be interesting: In early 2013, I shared a personal experience about how my "Free Yourself from the International Conspiracy Against Enlightenment" series came to me. I had a dream, in which a panel of Arcturian masters were discussing the various problems with the world- the neurotoxins in the public water, the genetically modified crops, the prevalence of meat, the network programming on television and other pop culture sicknesses, the lack of true education in schools... their discussion went on and on, and I basically stood there in awe listening to all of it. Finally when there was a break in their conversation, one of them turned to me and asked if I had any questions. I said, "yes; why did you bring me here to hear all of this?" Then one replied, "We are preparing to put you on the world stage." At that moment, I woke up, and felt like it had been more than just a dream. I got up, unable to fall back asleep, and started googling all the terms they had used- fluoride, aspartame, neurotoxic. A lot of this was totally new to me; up till the time of that dream, I, myself, used fluoride toothpaste and drank fluoridated water and was none the wiser, so you can imagine my surprise when the strange dream messages actually garnered search results matching what I had heard. As I googled, other things popped into my mind, and when I started writing them down, they took the form of a 10 part list of simple changes we can make to avoid being physically poisoned, mentally conditioned, emotionally repressed and spiritually limited.

In that video, I know for a fact that I say a panel of Arcturian masters told me they were preparing to put me on the world stage. Those exact words... the same words Teal later used to describe her looks. The only difference is that in my dream, they gave me INFORMATION that can help people as a preparation for some kind of a mission; in her case, they gave her a a physical appearance to prepare her for hers...

    40. Cheese, with regard to teal's recent article and video on "AND Consciousness," let's give credit where credit is due and applaud teal's choice to actually cite a source for her content. She did, indeed, reference Diane St. John, whom she apparently met. It would have been nice, however, if she'd also cited the source for her explanatory paragraph on Buddhism. I've traced the text to a Richard Hooker, who posted it in 1996.

      Her text:

"Thousands of years ago, Siddhartha Gautama (who would come to be known as the Buddha) stumbled upon a truth about the universe. The truth was about the danger of extremes. At the point that he discovered that truth, he was very much living a life of extremes. He had dedicated his life to the path of asceticism. This way of life was so extreme that it was said he grew thin enough that he could feel his hands if he placed one on the small of his back and the other on his stomach. While seeking enlightenment in this way, he overheard a teacher speaking of music. He heard the teacher say, 'If the strings on the instrument are set too tight, then the instrument will not play harmoniously. If the strings are set too loose, the instrument will not produce music. Only the middle way, not too tight and not too loose, will produce harmonious music'. This perspective changed everything for the Buddha. As a result of this awareness, he developed an entirely new spiritual practice that he called the 'middle path'."

      His text:

"After seeing these four things, Siddhartha then dedicated himself to finding a way to end human suffering. He abandoned his former way of life, including his wife and family, and dedicated himself to a life of extreme asceticism. So harsh was this way of life that he grew thin enough that he could feel his hands if he placed one on the small of his back and the other on his stomach. In this state of wretched concentration, in heroic but futile self-denial, he overheard a teacher speaking of music. If the strings on the instrument are set too tight, then the instrument will not play harmoniously. If the strings are set too loose, the instrument will not produce music. Only the middle way, not too tight and not too loose, will produce harmonious music. This chance conversation changed his life overnight. The goal was not to live a completely worldly life, nor was it to live a life in complete denial of the physical body, but to live in a Middle Way. . ."

      (to be cont.)

      Delete
    41. (cont'd)

Worse, the entire article is another exercise in the absurd. It starts, like so much of her verbiage with a tautology. She writes.

"The middle path is a practice of balance through moderation. But what if balance naturally arose as a result of instead developing the capacity to hold space for two extremes?"

In other words, what if balance naturally arose from balance?

      She writes:

"I now believe that the practice of ‘And Consciousness’ has the capacity to be the modern day replacement for the middle path."

Why on earth would the middle path of Buddhism need replacing – let alone by a somewhat reductive version of the same thing???

The problem is that teal has completely misunderstood the St. Johns's concept. She's reinterpreted it as justification for extremity, when this is not what they're saying at all.

Here is a post of theirs on the concept. Here is an explanation of the middle path from Buddhanet that provides historical and philosophical context. Read those two things and tell me what teal has done here makes a lick of sense.

    42. Actually in terms of what teachers like Teal do it makes perfect sense. (which despite their claims is actually to create more division and disharmony)

So in the first post you linked it says

"The more we can fully embrace each aspect of self that is involved, the more organically the situation will flow and clarity will come."

      But Teal distorts it to

"By holding both, instead of aspects of our self being separated by them, we have created a state of integration or wholeness within our being."

      See what she did?

She ripped out the flow part.

The divisions are held and held apart. Thus keeping division in place.

This is what she is doing to her students. Keeping them divided. And away from a real solution.

    43. Yup. I call teal a "cognitive dissonance generator." Nearly everything she says confuses and fragments. Here, she seems to be saying, swing between extremes and don't worry about finding any common ground between your opposing ideas. It's Hegel's dialectical without synthesis. Just ride the roller coaster, baby. Weeeeee!

Every notice how often she the term "fracture?" She loves that word.

    44. Thankyou LaVaughn for posting the comment by Ma Nithya. And thankyou Ma Nithya for following up on it. I suspected it long ago, based on her reactions to knowing Bashar and Abraham. It was pretty evident right from the start she has 'borrowed' heavily (to put it mildly) from those sources. I seem to have missed that video you mentioned in 2013, but I definitely remember your 'time to come out of the Arcturian starseed closet'. So i did find it 'peculiar' when Teal casually mentioned 'I am not out with my real identity in public' in her Nova Zem interview with all the explanation of being 'intergalactic greenpeace organisation', randomly naming some countries where her fellow 'arcturian brethren' have incarnated and emphasising she is a 'major player' at this time. The interview with Doc already confirms how Teal is good at manipulation and making up stories. Its great to see these threads all linking up together. And its also fortunate that LaVaughn had the keen eye to see through the Teal facade and provided this forum as a place for the facts so anyone accidently stumbling into the 'black hole' of Teal-isms can make an informed decisions.

As has been mentioned before, (S)Teal is indeed 'Gilderoy Lockhart' of spirituality (for those familiar with Harry Potter books). I am partly amused partly apalled at the details surfacing about her, her concocted and stolen fantasies to enhance her self-image are now more transparent than ever. Its clear now that she and Blake probably created a 'business plan' and thought spirituality would be a good 'career' option for the naturally pedantic Teal. Spirit Science gave her the necessary visibility which she then built her 'career' on. It had to involve self-aggrandising ideas of her being so people can see her as a 'source of information' at the same time relate with her .Its cleverly crafted BS for which she deserves full credit!!!

I do appreciate your latest video about ferociousness. I myself had fallen into the pit of not representing myself authentically just to avoid conflicts around me. It creates cobwebs of weakness and patterns which are 'loose' and keep us from accessing our own innate powers. Thankyou for so beautifully articulating it. I look forward to more of these gems.

'He has been cast in the light of a man who followed his pecker to greener pastures, forsaking his ex wife and kids. I have been cast in the light of a dangerous seductress. And we are being treated as if we had an affair.'

Teal's answer to all her divorces. SHe had to divorce lame men who can't keep up with her expansion. Ha.

' I expand so quickly and with so much gravity that the person who partners me must keep up to remain a match to me and to be able to share the same space in time.'

It is amazing how sb can turn things around to fit their own story. Amazing. Poor Tealers... only the chosen 22 can attend the wedding. Must be a lot of tears in the group now. I bet the 22 chosen people have either organized an event for her or are those who defend her most online.

    47. I know, rikitikitavi. That post may be the most unintentionally hilarious thing she's ever written, starting with the naked desperation to prove that she's not a plagiarist. She actually "feels" the information to be "born" through her. See?! Blake is painting a green screen for me, not because he's a lackey, but because I'm creative, dammit! What's google?

And it just gets stranger and more illiterate as she goes, from the implication that her vagina is made of green, green grass, to purity that magically transforms it into impurity with the addition of poison that makes it an elephant, to the lottery for entrance to her 4th wedding, to horrible, clumsy phrasing like this:

"I am like a phoenix that is fired again and again."

I guess she means burned, as opposed to involuntarily unemployed. And, yeeaaaah, the phoenix burns and is reborn repeatedly, so, um, in other words she's a phoenix that's like a phoenix?

And it does seem like she is still holding on to 'not being treated special enough' by her parents. As the Doc mentioned she always had delusions of grandeur 'Cleopatra' reincarnation. The rest was all about her ego-identity struggling to survive, and validate by trying to 'martyr' and protect others. I am gonna need something to distract me now, with the 'horror story' I just read, going to have trouble sleeping.

  20. Aside from the commentary on her family, the larger problem is that her most recent blog post is, once again, an exercise in plagiarism. The self-plagiarism is the most obvious part. A good chunk of the post is from this earlier article on her main site. That these entire paragraphs are not new, is of course, not mentioned.

The original article on dreams, as well as its republication in this blog post, contains numerous assertions of fact with no substantiation or reference. She mentions "scientists" but names none and cites no research. My husband was able to run down her assertion that nightmares are rehearsals of threat scenarios. She writes:

"Nightmares, more so than any other kind of dream are simulated rehearsals of threat so that we will be prepared to survive if we continue to encounter a similar threat in our waking life."

This is a theory, not a fact, and it would be properly attributed to psychologist Antti Revonsuo, who conducted experiments on rats. Like much of teal's content, we can see a summary of this theory in Wikipedia. A more complete explanation can found in Psychology Today, where we find a quote strikingly similar to the one above.

"As Revonsuo puts it, 'The primary function of negative dreams is rehearsal for similar real events, so that threat recognition and avoidance happens faster and more automatically in comparable real situations.'"

Again, aside from the ethical problem raised by teal's plagiarism, the thing that really bothers me is that she is making herself the authority. She repeatedly states opinions as facts and without any substantiation beyond her say-so. Ironically – note the correct use of this word – she then complains that people are putting her up on a pedestal.

"I am more and more aware that as a spiritual teacher, I am expected to maintain a level of disidentification that renders me un-affected and non reactive to the 'negative' aspects of life.  I am expected not to ever feel powerless or sad or angry."

Is anyone actually expecting this of her? Is anyone expecting that of any spiritual teacher? If they are, that's fucked up. But, of the criticism of her that I am aware of, it's nothing to do with any of that. It's about conduct and ethics. Lately, she's taken criticism for her romantic life because, in her own words, it makes her appear "volatile and unstable." It's not about her feeling her feelings. It's about her actions and their impact on the lives of people around her. Specifically, she is being accused of being a homewrecker, which is, again, a question of ethics.

"I can see that those who continue to need a leader to be an embodiment of the promise of human perfection will not touch their own divinity."

Here, she's flipping any criticism back on anyone who criticizes her.

Translation: Stop expecting me to conform to any standards. You're only damning yourselves.

    2. Wow. That's really quite something. Thanks for sharing that horrible trip around teal's psyche. It's a sad thing indeed when a "spiritual luminary" shows less intelligence, less understanding of female dynamics and self-perception, and less compassion than a DOVE COMMERCIAL.

You know, teal may hate other women and feel nothing but competition with them, but it's just a measure of her own self-absorption that she thinks we all operate that way. I honestly feel sad for her that she cannot experience the intense bonding and support that most women find in friendship. She must be very lonely. She hates other women and thinks so many of them hate her for her inestimable beauty, and her romantic relationships are apparently transactional. Well, thank goodness she finally found a man with money so that she can really get paid properly for all her gorgeousness.

I love the way she just operates from the assumption that the woman who wrote in is grotesquely ugly, or something. Doesn't address at all that beauty is subjective and that the real problem is that this poor woman has fallen into the trap of comparing herself to other women. Well, how can she when she's in the same trap? It's just, sorry you're ugly. It sucks, but that's just they way the world works. You'll probably die alone.

And, I just love that she starts off by spouting some bizarre eugenics argument. There's so much wrong with that, where do you begin? Um, health and beauty aren't synonymous. Many people are healthy despite their facial features. And, that's not how evolution works. Beauty is not a transmissible trait. Beautiful parents have ugly children and vice versa. If we accept her reasoning, ugliness would be a genetic dead end, and if that were the case, there would be no more ugly people. The "problem" would have been eradicated long ago.

But, then she completely reverses herself. Beauty is entirely a societal construct and we have no innate sense of it from birth. So which is it? A primal, genetic imperative, or a societal construct?

Oh, and after explaining that ugly people will be alone and that beauty is selected for the better continuation of the species, she tells us that plainer women have better, deeper, more long-lasting relationships than gorgeous women. There is some data that supports that, btw. And, it's funny because what I couldn't get out of my head throughout the multiple internal contradictions she managed to squeeze into those few minutes was this old adage:

"Show me the most beautiful woman in the world and I'll show you a man who is tired of fucking her."

      Delete
    3. Oh, and isn't fascinating how one of the most painful memories she has is that her mother said something insulting. So, let me get this straight. This woman was chained in pits, raped repeatedly from early childhood on, prostituted out, chased through the woods in a "most dangerous game" enactment of some kind, sewn in a corpse, had her dog killed... I mean she was tortured quite literally for years by a psychopath, but her most painful memories always revolve around fairly typical family issues. How in the hell does that work?

      Delete
  22. I may have this wrong but didn't she also claim she was forced to lure immigrant children to be murdered and watch them be sacrificially burnt to death? Seems odd to me that with all the senses and special abilities and insights she claims to have that these specific events are not talked about more. If her back story is to be believed all the way then what about these other victims? And the long term effects on her of being involved in those murders? Is there a blog on this anywhere? Or was it just dropped into conversation in an interview. (This is a serious question - I may have not read it) If not seems strange that an inter-galactic spiritual healer wouldn't deal with this event but instead illuminate the economics of Monte Carlo or whatever.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yup. This is something Doc referred to, as well. The murder is always the least of her concerns when she talks about her "abuse." It's always about what allegedly happened to her. The murder of all these children, her complicity in it, is always a footnote. There's no guilt, no sadness over it. She only ever has self-pity when she talks about this, if she shows any emotion at all, which she rarely does. If her story is true, she also really lacks empathy.

    2. She always dresses so desperately for attention of the wrong sort. I find it nauseating to be stared at lustfully and opt for class, especially with my husband, he wouldn't appreciate me exposing myself suggestively either. I mean, the only purpose why anyone would do such a thing is for lustful attention. I'm guessing Teal relies on that in her day to day to feel desirable and good about herself. Quite pathetic really.

The first thing I didn't get about her was why she was spewing so much sex appeal through her mannerisms, makeup and clothes in her videos whilst nonchalantly talking about spiritual topics. It made no sense back then, but now it does.

    3. "...whilst nonchalantly talking about spiritual topics..."

      BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You nailed it. That's exactly what it's like. If you shut the sound off you'd think it was one of those ads for phone sex with "local singles." But, no. It's just some badly paraphrased Abraham-Hicks.

    4. She would say something like, her appearance is the bait and spirituality is the product, but the fact is spirituality is the bait and she's the product.

The Teal Bosworth/Scott/Swan/Giqueau train is a wreck waiting to happen which will hopefully teach people about projecting themselves and their desires onto others, and where that leads.

  25. Ohh my. New blog post today. She rented a place on Airbnb (I knew it! She's not as rich as she wants people to think) and they kicked her out for bringing "clients" over. Then, after she spent a miserable day looking at pictures of the family she wrecked, she felt depressed and so Ale paid for her stay in a luxury hotel.
The train is coming for her and Ale at full speed. This will not end well.

Ale, I want to shake you and what a dilemma you are finding yourself in. Understand that the mother of your children is doing the only thing that makes sense... keeping them away and safe from Teal and Teal's control over you which must worry her. you can love Teal as much as you want, you can marry her, make babies and business but the mothers job is to follow her intuition and set boundaries for the safety of her kids. She seems to see a reason to worry. In case the kids will ever be around her and Ale, I can see that Teal will be flooded by jealousy in regards to his attention towards his children. It is certainly an issue with Teal and unhealed in someone whoes currency is ATTENTION and REACTION. The mother must have picked up on this and is doing her best. As I dont know the case and past of this couples relationship, there are probably other factors at work as well. But I currently sympathise with the mother of the children. I can see why she is worried.

and in a way she is following the rules of boundaries101... It is still heartbreaking to see sb not be able to see his own kids tough

    2. Yup. Airbnb all the way. Guess you hadn't caught this. Can you imagine expecting that distinguished looking gentleman and getting Blake instead?

That blog post sounds like a real doozy. I'll have to find some time to read it. Wowza. She really doesn't get it does she. Tears a marriage apart, damages children for life, and still thinks she's the victim. Amazing.

    3. I think Ale is unconsciously rebelling against his life with Teal. Is that the definition of a mid-life crises? One can only hope he gets a prenuptial agreement, and that no babies come off this mess because they would only suffer, and so would his pocket.

The first thing I thought when reading this comment was that they thought she was a prostitute.

It's understandable if Ale wasn't happy with his wife any more, these things happen, but running after a woman who changes men as often as she changes clothes, and showering her with money whilst still being married is such a bad cliché, we all know how that ends. I would question a man like that, especially if he has children. It's very poor form Ale, and everyone can see it.

Si vous voulez ruiner tout ce que vous avez travaillé pour, et pour rien, qui est exactement ce que vous faites.

    4. They very definitely thought she was a prostitute. She says so quite plainly. Oh well. It's an easy mistake to make, because this.

And, add Christian relics to the list of terms teal does not understand at all. No, the Bible is not one and people who have relics don't toss them casually about.

    5. Thought of that too. I can't help picturing her walking around with these minions in every situation, taking photos of her, as per her own instruction. Like the romantic moments with her partners. I mean, is she seriously *always* accompanied by (I'm guessing) Blake? Or Graciela? Or both? I wonder however do the men deal with it? Pussy whipped to a pulp.

Her life is a level of crazy I can't even wrap my head around! Makes me look at mine with a deep sense of relief by comparison lol

I wonder how it will all sit with her when she's older and can no longer use her body to have her way. When men will no longer care. It's not working too well for Madonna. My guess is "not gracefully".

    7. Does anyone else think its weird to conduct any kind of business from the home of strangers without a prior discussion? Anyway, I like how she thoroughly made them out to be from a 'bad' part of town and religious zealots because they had a bible on the coffee table. She had to smear them a bit before she presented what even happened. The only trauma to her was the embarrassment of realizing how outsiders not under her spell perceive her behavior.

It was all a veiled excuse to go crash into Ale's life and make her presence known. She cant have him fraternizing with his "ex" inlaws. She is too important to hide away in a little air B&B! I also like this little gem "since appearing on the scene..." HAHAHA. She just appeared, you guys. Everything just happened around her and she found herself in a homewrecker situation unwittingly. And I NEED to point out how Ale's life if just a SCENE. A stage for her play, like everything else. But then like two paragraphs down she says "I never end up in a situation on accident." Why dont people listen when she blatantly tells them who she is right before she goes on to shame his children for abandoning Ale as their father (as opposed to the OBVIOUS reality).

Its also incredibly creepy that she states she stared at a picture of his daughter on the wall and it made her feel tormented, and all back to how it related to teals childhood. She is a creep. a creepy creep who is jealous of Ale's kids.

She didnt feel emotionally "safe" until he put her up in a fancy hotel and bent to whim. Then the picture of the white knights. The more I see of teal, the more I believe she is along running satire performance. . She didnt want to "appear to be a diva", so she had some kind of "emergency" where she was emotionally unsafe and tormented, and describes how that trumps Ale's relationship and chances with his kids, who she is "tormented" by. Insane. I cant even.

      Delete
    8. I also think its creepy she has a quote about the higher self being the inner child in disguise. It validates her idea that each and every whim is of spiritual necessity. Except it really only applies to her, the childish and pathological rationalizer from mars.

And whats her deal with "parental alienation" when its about her or Ale, but all the rest of the time she focuses on things parents do wrong to permanently scar her followers...ooops i mean just people as whole because its a "teaching" and not a manipulation..as children, things like abandonment or and destruction of trust (and the same "emotional safety" she was just lamenting about for herself) But Ale's kids arent the victims here, ale is according to teal, because that is the only way to make herself the victim. She is gross.

    9. There is so much more I can say regarding her newest blog, which seems to be directed a particular person who may be reacting to her crashing though his boundaries after a life changing event that she also just posted about. LOL. Everytime I wander over there I am amazed at how deluded she is. She sure is transparent. At least that is one true thing, but not in the way she thinks she is.

    10. Don't forget that greater forces place her in shitty life situations. She doesn't choose, she just walks the path for the greater good. So her latest entanglement and all of the baggage that comes with it is merely an act of service.

Ale may be praying to make the difference, since she's already enlightened us with the fact that committed, loving, long-term relationships are unnatural, and a thing of the past. The fact that not only people, and yes, attractive people, very attractive people, and animals do succeed at this, is simply unknown.

I wouldn't question the martyr on the contradictory nature of saying that and being a serial bride, because that would mean I'm jealous.

  26. My letter to Teal in the comments section. I hope Blake forwards it to her:

"Teal, this message isn't going to be one that you'll like to hear. I know love is blind and it has made you blind to the reality of the situation. I am telling you how it is from a 3rd party outside observer.
You are in a relationship with a married man.
This is why the inlaws, his wife Alina, and his kids do not like you. Whether you did it knowingly or not, you are behaving like a "homewrecker". That depression you feel while looking at the photos of the kids is the nagging feeling in your mind that you are taking this away from a man who has left his family for you.
Haven't you heard of the expression "YOU KEEP THEM HOW YOU GET THEM?" The same thing will happen to you. You know the law of Karma, you are a spiritual teacher. Also, what can you say about a man who abandons his family and runs off with another woman? What kind of character does he have? How badly did this hurt his children and his family? Why do you think they say "I hate you!" to him?
There are so many other fish in the sea! Why not find someone who is single and unattached?
Yes, it is nice that Ale has a lot of money and that he spends it treating you to nice things... but there are single men who can do this, too!
This will not end well, Teal. The train is moving faster and faster towards you and Ale and in the end, there will be nothing left but a trainwreck.
You probably don't want to hear this but I am being 100% honest with you. This situation will not end well."

  30. (I have deleted the previous version of the post to correct some mistakes)

(English is not my first language, please correct me if I make mistakes)

    Hi,
I hope this is the right place to share my thoughts on Teal, and especially her Spirituality 2.0 process that I have some experience with.

First, I've got to say I have never been a proper "tealer".
I have never really been interested in her alleged abuse story and I believe that it is not my business to decide what is true and what is not.
I do not wish to take a side in tealers vs anti-teal debate.

Nonetheless, I have studied some of her material, just as I have studied teachings of other spiritual and religious leaders and thinkers. I am just a curious person.

I have been suffering from serious anxiety-related issues for almost 15 years. I have worked with multiple certified therapists. To this day a huge portion of my issues remain unsolved, but despite them I have managed to live a pretty interesting life.

I think of my self as of a pretty sober and skeptical person. Still, I know I might be kind of naive and prone to dangerous experimentation from time to time.

I have decided to try the 2.0 process sometime in 2013, soon after it was published.
I have been aware of potential dangers from the very beginning and still decided to give it a go, because:
    a)I was curious
b)I was disappointed with conventional therapy and other approaches

I have followed or tried to follow the guidelines of 2.0 for more than a year now and then I decided to no longer do it.

I don't really have to time describe the whole experience in detail, but here is a brief summary:

-My anxiety issues are pretty complex and I would say that there is more than one anxiety. For instance, there is a difference between severe, almost suicidal panic attacks that I experienced in the night time when I tried to sleep and "casual" everyday general anxiety.
-I have managed to deal with some forms of anxiety. For example, when it comes to the aforementioned night panic attacks, I have not experienced any of them since I applied Teal's process to them. There are a few more examples like that.
-some issues seemed to be "immune" to the process, and attempts to adress them have only lead to confusion, frustration and emotional unstability
-I am less aggressive I have found myself to be able to deal with work related stress better.
-on the other hand, I have developed some symptoms of minor depression, or dystymia
-my non-mental health issues have gotten worse
-my interpersonal relatioships have gotten better in some cases and worse in the most cases
-In last few months the general feeling of numbness, frustration and inability to deal with my emotions have dominated leading me to 'abandon the 2.0 ship'

I have decided that this paradigm is not useful or beneficial to me anymore and have decided to stop applying it to my life and I am in the process of the critical assessment of results.
And this point I would say that I have gained some important benefits from the 2.0 process that I could not find in many other approaches.

However, the process turned out to be much less reliable and universal, that Teal says, and also not safe at all.

I find spirituality 2.0 quite dangerous, and while I have managed to get out in one piece, I could imagine someone more fragile being totally devastated or even led to suicide.

I am an adult man, with plenty of different experiences and pretty tough, survivalist personality. I have decided to experiment on myself and follow the spiritual and psychological guidance of a person who is obviously seriously disturbed herself.

I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone to follow my footsteps.

IN MY PERSONAL OPINION THIS PROCESS IS MORE LIKELY TO KILL THAN TO HEAL

Thank you for reading my rant, I really needed to get it off my chest.

    1. Hi DRV. Thank-you for sharing your experience. I'm glad that you found some measure of relief using that process, but I agree with you that it's potentially dangerous and lacks any real safeguards.

    2. I find it interesting, that while a lot of people discuss Teal's ideas, it's not easy to find testimonials of people who actually tried to apply her processes consistently over a longer period of time (except for people from her inner circle).

My suspicion is that most of her followers don't actually do what she tells them to.

      Delete
    3. It's true. I hear a lot about how teal has helped them, from devoted tealers, but I've been unable to get much clarity as to how. One pattern I've noticed, in both current and former followers, is that person after person was at their nadir when they came across her work. It's one testimonial after another about being at the lowest point, deep in despair, and stumbling on her work and finding relief. When you're that low, any sense of hope can feel like a miracle.

There's actually been a good deal of pushback on 2.0. It's caused a lot of dissension in Teal Tribe, and probably elsewhere. I compiled this blog post out of screenshots I received from a triber, that resulted in a person either quitting or being banned and teal "destroyed" by the mild criticism.

In the post, I also catalogued my own attempt to use one of her "processes." It left me relieved that I'm not in a very vulnerable place, because the process is basically a push poll into despair. I don't think these things are safe at all.

    4. I usually don't judge spiritual teachers, mainly because even if their teachings are fraudulent, one can't underestimate the value of making people feel good, even if it's only temporary.

In case of people like Bashar or Tolle, the actual content behind the feel-good messages is the watered down version of Buddhism or some New Age stuff.

Teal's current core teachings seems to take a lot from people like Jung, Crowley, A.O. Spare, Phil Hine, Alejandro Jodorowski etc.

The thing is, that the material produced by those thinkers, while much more 'hardcore' and risky than mainstream LOA-feel-good spirituality, is much less authoritarian and in many cases comes with multiple warnings and descriptions of potential risks.

Those authors take much more intellectual approach and the entry level of commitment and study required to actually implement their ideas is so high, that people who are desperate and look for quick and easy solutions are much less likely to try it and hurt themselves in the process.

      Delete
    5. I'm not big on judging anybody. I do believe in discernment, however, which is how I draw that semantic distinction. My concerns about teal have more to do with her hierarchical structure than with her teachings. In looking at cults and quasi-cults – and I think hers is that latter at this point – what matters is authority and influence, not the teachings themselves. Teachings can be benign or even helpful, but if someone has set themselves up as a charismatic authority, the potential for abuse of power is very much there. In teal's case, however, the more I looked at her "teachings" the more I became concerned about them. I think many of them are psychologically dangerous and potentially destructive.

I think to say that teal's teachings derive from Jung, et al., gives her too much credit. Jung could be considered the father of shadow work, but what teal is teaching is not a fair representation of his material. Again, what she's actually doing is "shadow projection," or blame-throwing, which is precisely what Jung was trying to prevent.

Much of her work seems to be derivative of Abraham-Hicks, right down the terminology. She also draws from Byron Katie, one of the few teachers she actually admits to borrowing liberally from, and another one who has been on the radar of cult-watchers for some time. Katie also takes outrageous risks with people's safety, in my opinion.

      Delete
    6. I agree with pretty much everything you said.

Personally I have no problem that she takes stuff and changes it/distorts it. She should acknowledge her sources, but I don't expect her to be faithful to them. Actually, the fact that she isn't is the most interesting thing about her.

However, I find her authoritarian tone and her tendency to simplify everything very dangerous. She's essentially a fringe, reckless, and anti intellectual teacher. Spiritual world actually needs people like that, just as much as it needs more balanced and cautious figures.

People like Teal should come with a warning label, but instead she prefers to think of herself as a leader for the masses and seeks mainstream appeal.

Timothy Leary was, in my opinion a similar case, trying to heal the world with LSD.

  32. The originality gap grows ever wider. Her most recent post is, by my count, the fourth publication of text that dates back at least as far as July of 2013. Check 'em: huge swathes of virtually identical text, stitched together with a few grafs of the tealdrama of the moment.

    http://blog.thespiritualcatalyst.com/the-eviction-notice/
    http://blog.thespiritualcatalyst.com/allowing-and-action/
    http://tealswan.com/articles/do-i-allow-or-do-i-take-action
    https://youtu.be/izGZCskSitw

I can only assume that teal doesn't think much of her readers or that they're capable of any sort of reading comprehension. Apparently, no one is supposed to notice that it's all recycled material. Nor, it would seem, are people supposed to remember the post after post she's written about her varying states of misery, panic, despair, seizures, or squeezy vest clutching. Now, we're supposed to believe that her life is all tranquility and transcendence.

"I am a teacher. I sit on a throne of certainty and ease, as if it were never tested; or so it now appears. Now that I am showing others how to live a life of ease. But this throne has not been mine forever. And my place upon it is tested every single day. There are many gates that one can pass through to reach awakening. The gate of oneness, the gate of nothingness, the gate of the present or the gate that I came through… The gate of suffering..."

What about the gate of extraordinary vanity? Has she passed through that one yet? I think we know that answer to that.

"...I do understand pain. The smile you see on my lips has been pieced together from the crumbs of a shattered life I once led. I have left myself behind so many times. I have left myself to drown in the acrid blood I spilt myself. I have died again and again. I have made a hobby of dying in this life. It is as if I were an onion, whose layers have been peeled off one by one by pain."

Somebody help me out here. Is she living a life of ease and certainty or is she still suffering daily, because it can't be both.

The incoherence of this post is matched only by its grandiosity. She sits on a throne?! Is she Cersei Lannister now? And the very next day she posts this. http://blog.thespiritualcatalyst.com/teal-swan-quote/

"I can guarantee you that those who still need a guru to sit atop a pedestal in order to give themselves an excuse to run from their human-ness, will run as far away from me as they possibly can. And those who stay, will be put in a position where by accepting and rectifying both the humanity and divinity within me, they will be forced to accept and rectify both the divinity and the humanity within themselves."

So, she doesn't want to be on a pedestal, but she's on a fucking throne?!

But, she wants followers. She definitely wants followers. Are you brave enough? Are you willing to accept her with all her flaws and ghastly behavior? Or are you destined to be a spiritual wannabe for the rest of your life? Choice is yours. Just know that it's really all about her.

It made me wonder if the attention span of followers is totally shot after a time of reading post after post after post, if they end up just looking at the picture of Jeff Foster (or Teal or whoever), skim reading the post and if it sounds nice, spiritual and fluffy hitting like, in a kind of automatic reassuring cyclical pattern.

  34. This latest evidence of plagiarism is so blatant and unsubtle, it should serve as another red flag for those who are uncritically following advice from Swan. It also supports Cameron Clark's observations about Swan's claims to originality in the light of Swan's large annotated book collection. This seems less like an intelligent synthesis of the insights of others and more like a shoddy cut and paste job to keep the article train going.

Some insights and advice are hard won by the original authors who have had a specific experience. If another person just cut and pastes these into another context it degrades their in situ meaning.

So if Swan is willing to falsify in this way it is logical to pose the next question - what in her own personal narrative has she cut and pasted?

And if her personal narrative is appropriated - how much depth of meaning can the insights and advice that arise from it carry?

    ?

Precisely. I've come to think of her posts as these horrible Frankenstein's monsters of mismatched verbiage and ideas.

I thought the most obvious example of degraded meaning was where she replaced Welwood's use of the word "nonattachment" with the phrase "emotional detachment from others." That's not what that term means. This is a woman who claims to have some understanding of Buddhism!

Oh my... what's gonna happen when Ale, the money, and lavish gifts are gone?

I LOL'd out loud when I read the part about modeling and having too many curves. HA HA HA. Oh and "most conscientious person ever?" WTF?

Here is my message which won't get published: "By the way, you didn't get the modeling gig not because of your curves. It's your look. You're not classy. Your chin (double chin) is very masculine. You don't have a feminine jaw line. Also, you can't really walk or carry yourself in a classy way the way runway models do. You lack class. I think you'd make a good model for a calendar and that genre... the kind that truck drivers like to have at truck stops, not high end fashion magazines.
Your personality also is different. that plays into how you carry yourself. You aren't classy enough, basically.

    1. Lmao. You seriously took the words right out of my mouth! Even in her "fancy" outfit and evening gown in France, she didn't exude any elegance or grace whatsoever. It's just not in her nature. And, I, too, always thought she had a broad jawline and prominent chin...not to mention her scouse brows that only add to the harshness and rigidity of her face. =/ Every time I see her trashy makeup job, I just want to wash it off and re-apply it properly & elegantly, Lisa Eldridge-style.

Also, she's such a liar. Per the Sin City blog post:

"I was not tall enough for a long-term career in runway and unlike high fashion models, I had curves. So, at 16 years old, they decided to streamline me towards the lingerie and swimsuit market and Las Vegas is a hot spot for that market."

But on her Model Mayhem profile page (which has since been removed, but can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9A0rDWgHoA at the 8:55 mark) she claimed:

"I started modeling when I was scouted by a New York agency at age 12. For the first five years I did largely high fashion shows all over the world."

So how did she manage to walk in high fashion shows all over the world for FIVE years (which is a long career in and of itself in the modeling industry), and then all of a sudden she was too short to continue? *rolling my eyes*

And how stupid does she think people are?! As if a NEW YORK modeling agency would really send her on those low-rent photo shoots with glaringly obvious amateur photographers. FFS.

And does she not know basic math? According to the MM profile, she was 17 when she supposedly stopped doing high fashion...but per her blog she was 16??? Nothing she says adds up!

Then we have the portfolio of Photographer Darryl W. Martin ) http://www.dmartnevada.com) who listed his amateurish work with a tendency to soft porn photography of Miss Future Gicqueau at http://www.vegasinsider.com/models/photos.cfm/model/4

The only semi prof job I could find is her appearance in the Belle Calendar 2008
    http://www.monitor.hr/belle/2008/12/
    http://www.monitor.hr/belle/2008/12/02/
However, I couldn't figure out what Belle de Jour is all about
    http://www.monitor.hr/belle/

Note: If Teal Gicqueau would have been signed by a model agency at this time, the photographer`s name wouldn't be listed there but the model agency's name. Can sb please explain Miss Future Gicqueau that photographers are not the same as model agencies! I assume that the photographer had some connections and got a pic into this online calendar which features Miss Bosworth.

The last link features the line "Site Design and Hosting by DaBlue" which was the first photographer I#ve mentioned. I assume that he took the images of her which are featured in this portfolio.

To summarize: Teal Bosworth- Scott - Swan - Gicqueau probably booked one or 2 job with semi professional photographers . Any other image portfolio was created by being an unpaid model for a hobby photographer who was selling her some wild ideas of future potential to end up in Playboy and Paris. As written many times before, I have the feeling that Mr. David Blewett, promised Miss Future Gicqueau to make her famous in 2005, they started the website www.Tealeye.com and nothing happened.

I am a prof. photographer myself and know how the model industry works. It is IMPOSSIBLE to run the runways of Paris and Co. without any photographic evidence, it is impossible to delete web history if signed to a PROFESSIONAL model agency, it is impossible to be a runway model with a huge online portfolio of cheesy, half naked images with a tendency to soft porn photography and having your pussy featured in some of them, it is impossible to get signed prof and international, serious jobs with a medioke portfolio of a hobby photographer. Up to today not a single professional photograph was taken of Miss Future Gicqueau, including her latest photo series of running around in a misty aspen forest with bad make up and her strange blue kaftan shot which is currently her avatar image.

It was and will be always a phantasy of Miss Future Gicqueau to have walked the runways of Paris and co. She is selling you a story she made up. Miss Swan is certainly a beautiful woman and also looked great in younger years. She is not - and i repeat - NOT - runway model style and her type is usually very successful for the petrol station lory magazins and poster babes. The web archive doesn't confirm any larger success in this direction either.

btw: when i read in her latest blog about Las Vegas: "I have been practicing the art of indulgence on this trip.  It’s harder to do than you’d think for a highly conscientious person like myself."

      hahahahahaha… I was a bit buffled.

Miss Swan, please … do what you want with this man which you have fully under your spell. He will give you everything until he is dried out, poor and exhausted. Please Miss Swan, enjoy life, have fun, take as many men as you wish and admire yourself in the mirror everyday. But please Miss Swan, stop selling yourself as a CONSCIENTIOUS person…. I think i just heard a 2000 dollar mini pig burb in the house of a Tealer.

You are everything else BUT a conscientious person. Nothing is backing up your claims and everything is supporting the idea that you are a wonderful Sci fi writer. You are selling a product to the lonely hungry lost people out there and you sell it well cause your circle is growing and people start to believe that they really really need your input and words and presence in order to function on this planet. They are stuck in your pretty web and they don't even notice it because you work so efficient and smart.

Instead of giving fancy sounding "spiritual diagnoses" of Las Vegas, which any person with common sense could have detected themselves, instead of claiming a super nature of yourself, impressing disoriented people, instead of selling your deep desire of fame and money as an act of deep compassion to help the word, instead of offering to a very vulnerable group of people very dangerous methods which short term highs, instead of selling from others borrowed Concepts and ideas as yours and creating a fake currency of hideous certificates to a group of people who really would love to help people…. why don´t you finally live an authentic life as a conscientious person.

A thief who steals from poor people and calls him or herself Robin or Robina Hood…. ha.

Teal wake up, you have plenty of talents, you are easy on the eyes and you certainly can talk. Stop stealing and pretending and live your life and flourish.

  37. So, Vegas is about indulgence and debauchery? Get outa town. Never would have guessed that.

So, this post about Vegas, with the gratuitous modeling shot, is largely self-plariarized from this article about morality and conscience.

    http://tealswan.com/articles/conscience-vs-morality

I know. You're all shocked. You thought it was a wholly original post, bringing a fresh perspective and new insights. Nope. No such luck. Not today.

    2. You think there's some change in her SRA rhetoric? I don't think she's removed any of her statements about "Doc." Her biography hasn't changed recently. It's still all Doc all the time. Nor, has she recalled her lawsuit-courting book.

  38. I came to comment similarly in that it's funny how her recent blog posts have no gory stories of her abuse since the doc interview came out. Iirc, hadn't she mentioned in prior blogs about how doc would take her to Vegas to prostitute her and make her participate in bdsm porm? Sell her out of bathhouses or something? Now suddenly Vegas is not at all triggering, there are no abuse tales and modeling was apparently all glamour ("I gave the model a knowing smile").....right.

    1. You make a good point. Now that you say it, it was kind of gnawing at me that there was nothing about her abuse story in her writing on Vegas and her modeling history.

    2. Yep, thats worth noting for sure. Someone who is triggered by pictures of Ale's kids, or her own freaking kid. She is triggered by electric sockets supposedly but something as over stimulating (even for non traumatized folks) and in your face as Vegas, where she experienced part of "the worst possible" circumstances according to herself. And all it is an opportunity to indulge herself. As if that isnt what she is doing ALL the time, ahahahaha. Yes teal, we all believe you when you say with a straight face how hard it is for you to treat yourself (at the expense of others, especially and usually), as self proclaimed highly conscientious person who .... oh I cant even finish! Its hilarious, it really is.

She is just all over the place in every blog. Debauchery = negative and bad, but then she spends most of this entry to 'teach' us that how we think of morals and virtue is wrong, morals are "like a prison". But also that where debauchery exists, so does suffering. I realize the distinction between debauchery and morals, but I dont think teal understands distinctions really much at all. And when she does she makes wild leaping connections that do not logically follow. Its all or nothing with her, and she is just revealing how confused she is.

What does she even think she means by consciousness? Its just a new-age buzz word coming from her, and it seems to mean your whims. Your whims and impulses are your inner guidance system. She explains is as a guiding light, that is obscured by principles and morals. And that if you shed your morals, your inner guidance shines through. This is a woman who thinks your higher self is your inner child. Think about that one for a little. and consider the contrast between how her version of higher self is to be a spoiled queen who needs to ask for nothing from devoted sycophants, her inner child experienced all kinds of trauma for not being loved the right way or was abused, which is also very doubtful BECAUSE she does not empathize with any other victims, Ale's kids, or her own kid.

She is confusing in her mind entitlement and enlightenment. Its sickness. Its unsettling for many many many reasons. This is also a woman completely lacking a conscious. It reminds me of the arguments you hear in philosophy 101 before everyone really starts grasping the concepts. She is essentially advocating that if you feel bad about having done something, realize there is no right and wrong, and feel that guilt melt away. Ta -da! Spiritual reset, self condemnation does not necessitate self-accountability or self honesty, does it? Too messy, too painful, and teal is indulging herself in just another way by deciding conveniently that she doesnt need to , she just has to completely disregard social conventions and the effect she has on those close to her. Follow these steps and you, too, can be perpetually empty and miserable!

    3. Well the brainwash phase 376 just started on the poor Tealers. She needs to prepaer their minds that all her stories of the past were lies to enable her to get the attention of the world in order to spread her mission. She knows that DOC is in the process of prepaering the papers to sue her. Once the Tealer's brain run successfully through phase 376, he or she will be unable to see anything wrong with Teal's shameless lies. In fact they will probably applaud her for being so brave to tell lies with all the possible consequences ... argh what a twisted world Teal is creating.

Teal stopped being triggered once she married the man -oopps that was backwards - once she married the nam(e) of her dreams "swan". She knew that Sarbdeep will be overwhelemed by her random fits and just let it go in order to support the new love story a la "the unlimited potential of Teal the superstar and Sarbs the bodyguard". It didn't go down according to plan cause that Sarbdeep had a sense of privacy, which was sickening to an exhibitionist like Teal, who is feeding her followers little pieces of nacked skin etc to keep them engaged.

She is currently telling Ale, another man of her dreams, that he makes her feel so save (with all the money lol) that she reached a new level of healing and Ale smiles blissed out cause he has a purpose in the catalyst scifi story line.

Meanwhile Blakey Blake has a difficult time right now cause he knows that Teal is in deep waters with the doc interview out there and her "modest" indulgences with a rich Tealer.
Also because he reads every little comment over here whilst Teal is celebrating her catch and financial upgrade from good old Sarbs who by the way has no balls in his trousers for letting her do what she does although he realized it is all a show cause nobody - nobody ends a marriage with a "ferrari girl" cause she wants so desperately open a instagram account. Blake also knows that his time as on/off boyfriend of Teal's will be over soon cause obsessed Ale once her to herself and the contrast of lifestyles will be a challenge very soon.

    4. Openeyes, it's very telling what does and doesn't trigger teal, especially when it comes to her alleged SRA history. I wrote this up in the Noncast "Idiocracy," which was about the teacast they did on rules. That video has been taken to private in accordance with their divorce agreement, but it was a very strange moment.

Sarbdeep clumsily describes the fracas in Oklahoma over the Satanic Temple's attempt to install a statue of Baphomet, which I wrote up here. And, as Sarbdeep describes it, teal starts giggling and clapping. She finds the whole thing hilarious. I do, too, but I'm not claiming that I was abused by Satanists. She posted a picture of Baphomet on this post about how I'm tormenting her by doubting her SRA story. So, why are Satanists and Baphomet images so hilarious all of a sudden? It's just deeply weird and raises some serious questions about her "trauma."

      Delete
    5. Wow, I didnt know any of that. Telling indeed, but so is everything else about her. Its amazing to me, disturbing and funny and sad and just weird. Its always fun how she is constantly being persecuted by people noticing the obvious discrepancies in her already unbelievable stories, and the glaring double standards in her behavior and beliefs and expectations of others.

She reminds me of a childhood friend I had who was desperate to impress people and would lie about the most nonsense things. Including being an alien (seriously, haha), being a different heritage every few months, pretending to be able to speak and understand russian (and using the english alphabet somehow to post "russian" status updates lol), having magic powers because her grandma was a witch, etc. The difference between my old friend and teal is that one was a child and also did not have the same delusions of absolute grandeur that teal does. We humored my friend because she was a sweet girl and harmless, and she eventually grew out of it. I feel like teal probably started that way, but then never grew out of it and got bitter that it doesnt provide her any lasting validation (because its lies and she knows it), so she has become calculating and malicious. Its a sad way to live I imagine.

The trauma she experiences are the instances in which she is made to face the reality of herself in small pieces. On some level I think she knows that too, because she does some seriously incredible mental gymnastics to rationalize her exempt and oh-so-special status. And I think its because without all the bells and whistles, there is just not much substance to teals own personality. She is a patchwork person, made of bits and pieces of other personalities she has emulated or envied, like a serial killer skin suit but for a hollow, toxic person. "trauma" in lower case and quotes is the only way to refer to teal and her special brand of crazy flakes.

  40. Teal is the voice of ego. Her teachings and borrowed material lead into the jungle of never arriving anywhere. Short term benefits without touching the root of the problem. That is because her charisma covers up her lack of true understanding of all problems. She has the skill to sell ice to the eskimos of the New Ice Age. She is the embodiment of ego. In this regard she is a true teacher to those who love to study ego and all its tricks and then to find it in themselves and forgive it.

At the end of the day she is part of my/our dream and I am aware that she is the result of my thinking.
Forgive her. She is just another soul longing for home, just as much as you and I do. Forgive her desire for fame and money - you will also find it in you. Otherwise you couldn't possibly see it in her.
We are all guilty of the same - which is a dream. Don't listen to her - just forgive her. She is trying her best to be happy, just as all of us.

See how many people try to heal her with their love and appreciation toward her. Many of them would forgive her in a heart beat if she would open up about the lies. It takes a lot of people to heal her. giggles.

Teal is the teacher of chaos, she spreads chaos everywhere, confuses the minds, she gives you great promises, with the confidence that blinds you, impossible to proof her wrong, cunning queen of thought escapes. She is the giggling Ego. Study her and learn about yourself. Once you found all aspects of her in yourself, forgive yourself. It is all a dream. So is Teal. So are you. So am I.

    5. No Gaby. Giggles.
What makes you think she is my queen? My metaphorical woo woo which by the way stated something neutral? Or because I don't express rage or anger about her or about what she represents? I did that in the past.

I just changed my mind about the world and my perception of her changed with it. Teal is not the problem anymore. I also don't worry about those who follow her material and selfie journey, those who you called 'dead'. To use your language:

I know you were in a groove and everything but I think you milked my 'queen' metaphor a lot. But of course that won't stop you writing more woo woo as an attack of the queen which is dead to you will it?

Do you understand? Teal is not the problem. She represents the logic and lies of ego, the corrupted spiritual self help traps with short term effect, the deep desire of ego to be someone and be confirmed all day and night long. Don't see the person, don't make it personal, see what it stands for. The Symbol. You invented everything and nothing is real.

It doesn't matter if you do or don't understand. I wrote the comment for few out there who will understand it. Not seeing sense in what I wrote is not a sign of stupidity but just a fact that it doesn't suit the way of your individual thinking and therefore your perception.

      Teal is not THE problem.
Teal doesn't understand THE problem herself
Teal is the result of the THE problem.
Don't waste your time in fighting with the effect of the cause.
We all know that she is not what she says she is but at the same time she is part of YOUR perception where THE problem was born. It all has to do with you and nothing is part of you.

Don't waste your time with fighting her.
Return to yourself and find your teacher.
That's enough woo woo for now.

    7. Hi Gaby
I wrote a monolog to the readers of this blog. You answered and now we are having a conversation. I tend to answer which is always written by the ego.

I understand what you are saying. Here some thoughts in regard to your comment.
I am not past anger. I see the world differently. Anger as well - in others or when I am living it. I can't check out of humanity, I am part of it. Your idea is misleading. I get angry and blissed out, I can be loving and very hateful. I am more in tune with humanity than I ever was before.

Caps help to highlight the focus of the sentence in the digital world without facial expressions or voices, which can turn the meaning of a sentence around - a tool, not arrogant behavior in my eyes. Every conversation unless it is a single question you can consider a lecture - sb talking about his or her view. Agreement or disagreement is the only reaction or creative adjustment and fuse. But I had an intention of writing here - because I was very touched by the turn of events. I know Teal's public history from the inside out, probably even better than you and was one of the researchers who gathered all the hidden information about her persona and tried to warn the people who follow her. I had a very interesting experience and as said before, a lot has changed in my thinking, therefore everything I was focused on as well. My statements and thoughts which were meant to be inspiration or to be considered for a moment express this change.

It is not ignorance towards evil or its dual partner. I perceive dual, so do you - how could we write and talk without duality. How could I not see beauty and evil. Perception is judgment in itself. How could I not judge in this world which is built upon it and real because of it.

Gaby I do understand everything you say - they sound like my thoughts a while ago. This geometry has changed for me. It feels more like a design I know but has no significance to me anymore. The switch from 'TEAL is the problem' over to ' Teal is NOT the problem' to 'Teal is not THE problem' I can't describe but it surely isn't based on closing eyes, mouth and ears. She is effect not cause. I am interested in the CAUSE. With me writing about it here, it has a massive effect on ME and I know that there will be a few people out there who find themselves in the same position and it will do something to them. PROJECTION is a very important word, symbol, tool, method and trick. Look into it as I do.

It is interesting that you mentioned the borg. Thanks Gaby - it has great meaning to me independent of your intended use of the word in its context.

    8. SPLIT - GUILT - FEAR - PROJECTION in CAPS to make a POINT. Thinking about it.

If blogger would allow me to adjust pt - believe me I would. On top of the caps of course. TEAL is teal in this relation.

  44. Mystery solved: In teal's recent post about her uterus, she also mentions that she's being "slandered" by another spiritual teacher. I have wondered about this and some helpful soul has elucidated. It is yet ANOTHER plagiarism claim.

Ma Nithya Swarupapriyananda has posted a video about teal's "completion process" and she's claiming that it's derived from a revealed teaching by her guru. That it's not original, I have little doubt. Is anything teal teaches original?!

At any rate, the video is posted here and it's worth a look if only for her spot on impression of teal, because BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Also, the comments make for a great read.

FWIW, this is not the only claimed source for teal's newly patented and soon to be published "process." I don't know enough about what comprises this technique to say, but I think Hay House needs to vet her shit hella better than they are.

Her ambitions of being 'Paramhansa' http://blog.thespiritualcatalyst.com/paramahamsa/ were also probably based on Paramhansa Nityananda's title. Teal needs to be criticised as openly and as often as possible until she atleast learns to give due credit. 2. It maybe shouldn't astound you.. Some argue that the entire new age movement is built on a basic denial of reality - because it's too painful to face.
There are countless examples of humans in history following corrupt leaders so they can let go of their own critical thinking and moral responsibility. Even when the evidence proves beyond a shadow of a doubt their complicity in something they will go on denying and evading, rather than face the pain of their conscience.

You have built up an indisputable collection of evidence showing Swan has plagiarized her work. I see a drop off in the number of Teal supporters coming to argue her case here in the newest blogs. I think there's just too much reality here at this point.

But of course Swan will go on making her facebook page and forum an echo chamber for uncritical worship of her and agreement with her for as long as she can get away with it. It's why so many of these teachers teach (moral) relativity so they can buy as much time as they can to get one over on people.

  49. Teal, you need to stop calling out people who've "wronged you" and keep that shit to yourself. When you start talking shit about Sarbdeep, your "haters" (lol at that) and especially Alina, you look like trailer park trash.Alina is a professional woman educated with a MS at a top tier university. She's a program manager at a top company and has her shit together - unlike you. You never went to school and can't write a coherent thought without plagiarizing someone's work. You aren't half the woman she is. Stop exposing all the ugly details of Ale's divorce all over the internet. It's none of your God damned business. You're in a relationship with a married man and what did you expect would happen? You behave like a cult leader manipulating your brainwashed fans and expect them to go out and cyber bullying those who've "wronged you". Grow the fuck up. Get a real job and stop acting like some armchair psychologist / YouTube guru. You know damn well you and Ale will end up like you and Sarbdeep because you don't have your shit together. Why your dumb ass rich boyfriend left his successful wife and kids for you should be a clear indicator of what type of person he is. Who the fuck walks out on their wife and kids? Oh, I guess he must be a vibrational match to you. Lmao.If the entire world is against you, rest assured it's you... not everyone else. You are a hot mess, falling apart in every way and blame everyone else for your inability to get your shit together. Like many people who don't have their shit together, you had a son and aren't with his father. Way to set an example. Are you gonna get knocked up by Ale so that your rich, married boyfriend sets you up financially for life? You certainly alluded to that in your blog. Just follow your doctor's advice and get a hysterectomy already. The world doesn't need you to breed any more. For all the shit you talk about your parents... Yeah, you are right they failed. Your parents did fail at something - raising you and teaching you how to grow the fuck up into a responsible human being.Way to go! You are an inspiration for all... not.

    1. Amen to that. There was a time when I thought her capable of reasoning and having a conscience, but after all I've seen, I had no choice but to file her as clinically insane, like Cameron said.

    2. 'If the entire world is against you, rest assured it's you... not everyone else.'

THIS. After reading the long list of all the ways in which she's been "attacked" and "ostracized" throughout her life ('Sunlight' blog post), a brilliant quote immediately came to mind:

"If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."

If she would make better choices in life, then she wouldn't receive the backlash that she does. Her life (just like everyone's) is the sum total of her actions = cause and effect, plain and simple:

      - If she wouldn't plagiarize, then there would be no cause for people to call her out on it.

      - If she would approach relationships in a healthy and more mature manner, then she wouldn't have multiple failed marriages and relationships. Is she even legally divorced from Sarbdeep yet? ...and she's already ENGAGED to Ale?

      - She wouldn't be the reason that Ale's full rights to his children were taken away from him if she had conducted herself differently throughout her "career." Ale's wife (ex-wife?) isn't the first or only person to see how cult leader-like she is. Her legion of brainwashed, desperate followers only justify it.

      - If she wouldn't make such incredible claims regarding the ritual abuse and torture that she endured for 13 years without providing a single shred of evidence or taking actions against her perpetrator to stop it from happening to other victims, then she wouldn't have people questioning the validity of her story.

She doesn't take responsibility for anything, and instead, chalks up the "attacks" to being manifestations of an insecurity. NO, Teal, you just make shitty choices. And I like how she uses the excuse that defending herself is pointless and futile because "no one in attack mode actually cares to have a meeting of minds" ('Onslaught' blog post). Um, no, you don't defend yourself because you CAN'T defend yourself when the evidence is laid out clearly in black and white.

At this point, I can't believe anyone still follows her. It's perfectly reasonable to expect a spiritual healer/teacher to be a living example of her teachings, yet her life is one big ball of drama and negativity. She really has no business or authority trying to teach people healing processes and techniques when she has nothing to show for it in her OWN life.

    3. I absolutely agree with you in everything that you've said. Took the thoughts out of my mind, laid out perfectly.

I guess she's a true test for any seeker of spiritual wisdom and healing, because with all the evidence laid out clearly proving her to be a charlatan, anyone intelligent enough will see it and move past her. I don't even know what to say for everyone else, I'm trying to be nice and compassionate.

But indeed, as she grows in popularity, which is what she wants, she will be questioned more and the world won't settle for excuses or deviations. The world won't take lightly to the fact that a number of people following her advice have committed suicide. People who've made a living out of their copyrighted material won't take lightly to her plagiarism if she starts to make a living out of it.

She loves to keep people wrapped up in a soap opera of her life and calls it her dirty laundry, but her true dirty laundry is what's going to come out if she gets any more popular.

She's the new age Paris Hilton.

  50. I hope she legally gets her ass handed to her, if she is stealing and profiting through her seminars and private training she gives people she needs to be stopped.
On another note....i really can't even with this bitch. Did I really just read that having a baby is the answer to curing endometriosis? ?!!?? That's as bad as her shit about how you only get stds if you're a match to them. I've sprained my eyeballs from rolling them so hard .
Her following is definitely dwindling though. All that's left are the same people who go to all her events. And anyone left on teal tribe seems severely mentally ill.

  51. Procreation of bodies, money, fame and success is a great concern of the Ego. It will use its own logic and to get what it wants and needs.

The Ego is also greatly concerned about how to connect those with each other who visit the workshops to get a greater group dynamic between them, led by the Ego Queen. Therefore each workshop starts with pointless introductions of seat neighbor to seat neighbor, making the time even shorter when the Ego has to talk about something. Only the ego can figure out brilliant plans of getting paid to introduce people to each other and talk about the same summaries of new age each time.

If you observe the Ego's instagram activities carefully you will come to the conclusion of the obvious presence of a growing instagram picture addiction by the Ego. The carefully selected posed images and text descriptions tell the tale of the Ego's very active life with growing success, with larger audiences, longer queues, blanker mid riffs, bigger boobs - more and bigger of everything. You will also notice that the Ego sometimes had great difficulties to decide which of the similar images are the best. So it just post both images cause they are both too beautiful to end up in the bin.

The Ego also tries to explain about the importance of self love and teaches how an Ego has to fully fall in love with itself before it can love any other Ego. The Ego is full in trend with this approach and fully convinced about its wisdom and awesomeness. It never once crosses the Ego's mind that the perception and therefore life of an ego can never love - not itself nor any other. That what it perceives and understand about self love is merely a deluded slime feast about its own awesomeness whilst being separated from all that is and every body else, feeling unconsciously guilty of everything but covering it up by plays of all kinds. Warned be those who blindly follow the sirene with long black hair and teal colored eyes who is lost in its own labyrinth of catalytic events.

I would like to shorten the way of the ego and suggest to audition for CBS and suggest a reality show without limits - 'The Rising Star of Arcturus'. Cameras can follow the Ego now everywhere, bedroom, beach, hay houses and more. The follower numbers would grow fast enough and the Ego doesn't need to struggle with the drop by drop FB and Instagram followership.

Those who read this and agreed with it be reminded of their own perception which is based on Ego, that cuts, separates and plays silly games. Those be reminded that their perception of Teal is based on their own dilemma with the mirrors, seeing their own fragmented Ego performing as Teal the Queen of all Ego - highly potent. Once you understand this, you will see The Queen of Ego more as a training of your own mind than anything else. At the end of the day - whatever you see is the result of your own thinking, knowing and therefore your own judgement.

How do you know that you are not out of your own mind?
How do you know that your Ego didn't invent Teal itself?
What is the purpose of judging The Queen of all Egos?
Why are you concerned about her followers who are willful beings themselves?

As long as you see Teal outside of yourself, you are lost in your self entertaining projection of your own Ego which judges its characters which it put 'out' there in the first place to feel 'different'. It was like a slap in my face when I realized that I was leading a war again myself and my play. Above you can see the convincing thoughts of my Ego about another Ego. I am sorry to say but it all starts and ends with you-I.

    WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING?

  53. He's always been a good slave, the poor fellow. I wonder how her succession of men have reacted to the part where they're inseparable, and the list in the harem keeps growing, though Sarbdeep bailed before there were any children or properties involved so good for him.

  54. I think one needs to realize that Teal followers are no seekers in the traditional way. They are looking for a plaster for this and that and are compatible with the Ego's ways of perceiving and handling life. The symbol of Teal is an intense and tense interaction with life which "seem" to happen to her. The Ego has a goal and will do everything to get there because the goal is promising the pay out for all the experienced lack of whatever. On the way to its goal it loves to use the word "expansion" and will use this as an excuse of to end and welcome certain relationships with other symbols. The Ego's signature is loosing itself in the characters interacting with it "outside" there. It will explain the world why this and that is threatening to it and will come up with thought bending solutions to project the fault out there. Study the Ego. Teal is such a clear channel and symbol of it.
I celebrate her for that because she is teaching me exactly how convincing, seductive, manipulative and twisted the logic or thinking dynamic and therefore perception and understanding of the lost ego is. It all happens in me.

She is portraying so beautifully to move from man to man to gather skills, money, services, sex and a false sense of security. She is rewarding characters who support and bring her forward and excludes characters who go against her (by perception). She is portraying how to use the body and its nakedness to get more of that which seems promising and rewarding like attention and being desired.

Dear Gaby I am not having a field day with you nor do I try to sell you something. I am not trying to proof you wrong or convince you of another way of seeing life. I am writing here for me to me and Teal is part of me. So are you. Please feel welcome to always respond or ignore.
