This comment is not directed anyone specific.

I went through some difficult and (for me) traumatic experiences over the course of the past 20 years. In the midst of my difficulties and as a means to try and begin my healing process, I started writing things that I didn't share with anyone. I had a friend that I talked with about it, but that's it. I spent time writing the basis for a book and a guide on how to manage things for people who find themselves in a similar situation. I put it down for a long time and never really got it off the ground beyond my own computer documents folder; but years later, as I entered a field that exposed me more to professionals in that realm, I came across a mediator who had prepared a list of what to do in similar circumstances. The suggestions she made were extremely similar to what I had written over the years and saved only to my own computer. I have never met this person and I have never read any articles written by her (if she even has any), but in my daily job, I came across her mediation agreement (that is provided to clients) and that's where I saw her list of what to do and what not to do for parents during a difficult separation. I was shocked at how similar it was to what I had been writing strictly based on my own experiences and with having absolutely NO prior exposure to this person or her work until years later. (I do not know when she put together her list).

My overall point is, it's possible for people to go through experiences and come up with similar and sometimes the same ideas as someone else, without ever having come into contact with the other or having plagiarized anything!

People sometimes get so caught up in claiming things as strictly their own that the beneficial message gets lost and drowned in an argument about ownership of ideas, which sounds completely ego-based to me, and which doesn't at all benefit the collective.

It seems extremely unrealistic and egotistical to automatically think that only one person can come up with ideas, conclusions, thought processes, etc., and that anyone else is plagiarizing, considering that we ALL go through very similar experiences throughout our lifetime. Again, it just dilutes everything down to an argument of egotistical ownership, and drowns out the overall message and healing that derives from it.

I think that both Brown and Swan genuinely conceived these ideas and teachings from their own experiences and separate from each other. If only one person were capable of conceiving an idea or healing process or coming to specific conclusions, then wouldn't we be overwhelmed with billions upon billions of differing ideas, conclusions, processes, etc., that no one can resonate with because by default, it would be impossible for us to think that same way??

Do you really expect there to be a monopoly on an idea or a process when we are all going through very similar experiences as everyone else on the planet??

Byron Katie says something about how we are never the only person going through what we're going through (that's not an exact quote), but it's true!

Also... maybe someone resonates more with Swan than they do with Brown and vice versa. And honestly, who cares? Do you feel as though you are benefiting from the message you are accepting from either person? Yes? Then good. Why not just focus on that and continue on your own path?

Anyhow, that's my 2 cents. It's a Crazy Life!https://www.blogger.com/profile/12853207388721355684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-16219838596898723032016-09-20T08:37:21.578-04:002016-09-20T08:37:21.578-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05072977227227387355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-52956493529841942402016-09-20T08:37:18.749-04:002016-09-20T08:37:18.749-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05072977227227387355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-39321177125838159352016-09-20T08:37:16.428-04:002016-09-20T08:37:16.428-04:00I got Michael Brown´s book for ages now and always...I got Michael Brown´s book for ages now and always wanted to do it. These are lies, blatant and easily proved. I have personally witnessed her using, scribbling on, highlighting through and using The Presence Process by Michael Brown, telling those around her that ‘It’s the best book I’ve ever come across’. She listened to the audio version incessantly, sometimes on long, all day stretches or on long drives. She has falsely claimed that she has created TCP from her own life experience, divine intuition and 'universal perspective'. I have learnt in the past 6 months that it was copied from Brown’s work, and this is how I came to that realisation: In a previous blog I wrote about how I was instrumental in her securing the best deal for TCP. Back then, I still believed in her and did know she used Brown’s work for herself and had erroneously assumed TCP was inspired by it, not plagiarised."

http://sarbswan.com/2016/09/11/the-completion-process/LaVaughnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09147322061125012346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-10906236364373975452016-09-11T03:32:55.271-04:002016-09-11T03:32:55.271-04:00There is an even older book published in 1998 by J...There is an even older book published in 1998 by John Ruskan called Emotional Clearing which basically presents the same concepts and develops the same process which Brown and Teal claim to have authored. I was a follower of hers (although not the die hard fan) and came across her videos and felt that they made sense. But, when you don't know a topic (and in this case, spirituality), you can easily be duped. It may sound right but, when you actually apply her methods and teaching, they don't work! At first, I wasn't really sure about the accusations against Teal and quickly assumed that Cameron's time spent with her was like a case of an ex-girlfriend (ranting and spewing out hatred because the relationship didn't work). And in fact, didn't want to see the whole interview she had with Jessica Schab (which I can imagine is typical behaviour of Tealers). I actually, in Gabriel's blog about the Teal Swan scandal, defended her. But, when Sarbdeep Swan released a blog about his experience living with Teal, and the fact that he used the same words to describe her (a narcissistic sociopath), it really made me stop and think that can two different people be wrong about their judgments about a person they had some kind of a relationship with?

Then it was LaVaughn's blog: Fullmetal Plagirist that really got me thinking (and wondering) about the legitimacy of Teal's claims to many 'psychic powers' she was born with. Then just reading more and more from the various blogs about Teal (which took a couple of hours, I'll admit), I came to realize that there's just too many skeletons in her closet. I understand that no one's perfect but I do think that as a spiritual teacher or guide, you gotta be a least a couple of steps ahead of the people that you're trying to help and not hurdle to your bed and cry just because you hear one shred of criticism. From all this controversy surrounding her claims to ritual abuse and her plagiarism, I've decided to stop listening to any of her videos, unfollowed her on facebook and threw out her second book, Shadows before Dawn, to the garbage (thinking that I'm glad I didn't actually apply any of these techniques to my self-development and sparred myself of future damage). Once again, thank you so much for all this hard work that everyone has done and keep up the good work.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397267138926654640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-26522409597945182952016-09-02T07:00:03.220-04:002016-09-02T07:00:03.220-04:00Funny!!
