The judge is attentive and firm, the prosecutor is organized, the defense is hearty yet slow and unnerving with their misguided arguments. It appears time for the all or nothing focus to change and start anew with the legal admissable facts to come out that include the "Stockolm Syndrome". This syndrom that many people go through when "mind control", fear of disappointing, begins with absolute emotional and mental connection to the perpetrator and can lead to passing out, getting sick, nearly dying, dying, and being marred the rest of their live with symptoms of mental, emotion, social, and spiritual "group think". James Ray appears to have the mistaken belief that he can use group think to heal his own personal agendas to encourage "rebirth". He is not native american and is just a "control freak" who appears to be getting even with other and very wealthy because of his own lack of spirituality. He is like a dying sponge sucking the life out of others spirituality to vindicate his own failures in life. Very sad and not spiritual at all for James Ray but very spiritual for attendees. I think criminal intent on his part plus he looks and acts as though he is always in a trace. Perhaps he is a Freudian reject that is on the line between sacrificing others and trying to justify why he can't get to the rebirthing himself. He must have tried to get to rebirthing and he failed. He seems to suck the dignity out of others to find his own spirituality through the sufferings of other's. The prosecutor's must think of using the "Stockholm Syndrome" and "Group Think impact of attendees and the defense must begin to foucs on James Ray's journey to being a so called "spiritual" leader. He appears to have religiocity and a deep resentment toward spirituality with his use of "I am God" and "Die". What is his diagnosis for mental, emtional, and spiritual related mental illness.aj1946writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07395766008916100076noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-32496797628767659792011-05-01T21:26:29.625-04:002011-05-01T21:26:29.625-04:00I think it was quite apparent that he lied. I know police can lie and use trickery when they're investigating. I don't honestly know if a lawyer can do that to elicit testimony. Or if there are loopholes based on phrasing. I'd welcome clarity from a lawyer. But whether it's legal or not it looks terrible and he's broken faith with that jury. Well, I'll say this. If I were on a jury and it was that blatantly apparent that one of the attorneys had just lied his ass off like that I'd have a hard time trusting anything he said after that.LaVaughnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09147322061125012346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-67056693279214956312011-05-01T20:59:43.386-04:002011-05-01T20:59:43.386-04:00can anything be done to emphasize that Li Lied to...can anything be done to emphasize that Li Lied to the jury, or is that a NO No also. I mean, it might be prejudicial to their client, and you wouldn't want the state pointing out a truth that might make James ray look bad, Hs california lawyers would not like that.flightseekerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13280788344715252086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-22459415315300812192011-04-30T14:04:42.324-04:002011-04-30T14:04:42.324-04:00@katiecoollady Here's an example of the obtuse...@katiecoollady Here's an example of the obtuseness of In Session and Sunny Hostin. They went on for several minutes yesterday about how unheard of it is to have a witness in the courtroom. Diskin is there because he's the case agent. But more than that, what they missed, because they're not really paying attention to this trial, is that when discussion of Diskin's presence during legal arguments about his testimony came up, the defense had the option of having him leave and Kelly said he had no objection to Diskin being there. So, once again, the In Session panel engaged in breathless, opionated speculation without knowing the pertinent facts. It's typical, all hype, no substance, broadcast news.

I've thought several times about how distorted my impression of this trial would be if I were relying on the handful of press articles and their slim details. And In Session isn't much better. They're screening the trial but it's increasingly piecemeal and their commentary is not representative of the facts at all. I thank god for the CNN feed which is why I was about livid that they thought showing a dark, quiet palace for hours on end yesterday was more important.LaVaughnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09147322061125012346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6766906560812521746.post-62124073326629913342011-04-30T12:56:58.283-04:002011-04-30T12:56:58.283-04:00Ah, love to start my day with a steaming cup of ba...Ah, love to start my day with a steaming cup of battery acid (with cream) and LaVaughn--that's meant to be a compliment by the way. I've said it before and I"ll say it again--I love your smart commentary and perspective on this trial. I'm learning so much and delving in to this so much more deeply because of how you deliver this stuff. So thank you!

yeah, CNN--then we've got In Session with the millionth airing of the "Jose Baez" story and Sunny Hoskin for the thousandth time digging at the prosecution in this case. I'm just gonna hafta get in my car and drive up there again next week to get some decent, first hand info on this.

Anyway, yeah I think Diskin came across as very credible, likeable and competent and remember this is an older jury and he's their cop. They will want to believe him too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
